Where can I get kid's bedroom decor w/ a camping theme? We're decorating our son's bedroom w/ a camping/bear theme. I was wondering if anyone new where I could get some decorations and such to fit the theme. A couple specific items I am thinking of are a miniature tent and a fake campfire.
How do I get rid of the monsters in my kid's bedroom? Help!!!!!? For the last 3 weeks, my kids and either myself or my husband have slept on the couch with our two children because their room is so infested with monsters. I have tried to get rid of them several times. I have used monster spray (air freshner) to spray them away, I have kicked them outside but they always come back in, and I have let them sleep under the couch, but they still end up back in the kid's room. If I don't get rid of them soon, we will never get a good night's sleep. I have also tried leaving lights on in the house (monsters don't like light) and laying with them in their bed. Nothing works. What else do I try?
How clean is your kid's bedroom? If it is clean, who cleans it? I'll admit, my kids' rooms are pretty cluttered, especially my daughter's. We have them straighten up their rooms once a week, but the neatness only last a day or so.
why is this bird seem to be trying to get into my kid's bedroom window? there is a robin that keeps trying to get in my kid's bedroom window it will sit on the edge of the window or in the tree that is right next to it for hours and try to fly in we had the same problem with a cardinal at another house and it was only on the kid's bedroom window. I tried covering the window but this did not work i cannot think of anything inside that is attracting the birds.
IS YOUR KID'S BEDROOM CLOSE TO YOURS? I am Trying to conceive right now and i live in a 2 bedroom apartment but the rooms are a little apart from each other, I don't plan to let my child sleep in the other bedroom until at least 3 years old but is it okay that the rooms are not exactly next to each other? What are some pros & cons? Thanks!
How often do you clean your kid's bedrooms? And how long does it take before it looks like a tornado went through it again? And when could your child really clean their own room? My kid thinks he's hilarious... Just figured out how to open his toy box and is currently throwing it's contents all over his bedroom floor, after I just picked them all up. I don't think he looks EXACTLY like your kid....
80's/90's kids show. Involving an elephant and a hot water bottle in a kid's bedroom.? I remember some show I used to watch as a kid, it was set in a child's bedroom and his toy's used to come to life. The main character was a blue elephant possible called Howard or Hector or something like that. It olso involved a hot water bottle and aremote control monster truck. It was not a cartoon and I think it was from Australia or New Zealand, I can't remember any more, I haven't seen it for about 13 years. If anyone has any idea what the show was called, I'd really like to know. It's been plaging my mind ever since I remembered it about 3 months ago. Thanks alot.
How can I theme a bedroom around Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean? I'm doing this kid's bedroom, and he wants it themed around Pirates of the Caribbean the ride. He's 16 years old, and a HUGE Disneyland-fanatic. he doesn't want something corny or childish, but he wants to go all out. He wants an authentic, real-deal sort of room. The room is large rectangular and has vaulted ceilings. He also wants it to be a little reminiscent of New Orleans Square. The painting job is already done, it's a tan base and it looks as if a pipe broke or something, cuz it appears to have water just pouring down and damaging the walls. He has a nice keyboard, and said he'd like that to be dressed up a bit more pirate-y. It has light oak panels which deters from the look he wants. He has the PotC attraction poster, but would love more posters. I told him about Disney's print on demand system, and he was very excited, but what print(s) should I get? The room is spacious, and he hates it. He wants it to be like the ride, where you never see the same thing twice. very busy! oh ya, he wants a desk as well (he's an artist). He said either a bar look, or whatever... Just something he could doodle on or write or jazz like that. Thanks for your help!
Purple kid's bedroom ideas? I am painting my daughter's bedroom next weekend and I have no idea what to do. I want to paint it a lilac color and I want something creative and different but my mind is completely blank on what to do. She will be 4 in January and is a very girly-girl. Her other two favorite colors are turquoise and pink, so maybe a room that could incorporate those two colors too. I don't want anything disney princess theme or too baby like, because I would like for her to grow with this and not want to change it in a year or two. Can anyone please give me ideas or pictures on what I could do? I need as much help as I can get! Thank You!
Agree or disagree with snooping thru your teenage kid's bedroom? My husband occasionally (like maybe twice a year) snoops and goes thru my older sons (now 17 & 19). He reasons "it's my house, blah, blah" The 17 yr old especially gives him/us reason to go in his room as he is a total slob. If he would keep his room clean my husband would not be as likely to even go in there. Like yesterday we found out he has ants in his room from undisposed of soda cans. In the past we've found porno and tobacco products. Anyway, do you think a parent can or should go thru their kids room?
Does a parent have the right to forbid their kid to masturbate? I say no. As long as they're doing it in private, like in their bedroom or in the bathroom, it's the kid's own business. It may be your house, but it isn't like they have a choice in the matter. They're stuck there until they're 18. Besides, embarrassing them about it could really screw them up sexually. Oh, I've heard of parents forbidding masturbation. Usually for religious reasons.
Can someone help me with the title of a kid's book about a little girl and a messy house? I read this book as a child. I think there was a little girl in the book. I do know that it was about a messy house. Everything in the house was a mess, and everything ended up leaving like the fridge, bedroom, and finally I think the house ends up leaving down the street. I think I remember in the end the girl agrees to clean everything, and it all goes back to normal. This book may have also been on tape. Can someone help me with the title?
Where can I get super-high-resolution Wallpaper of Madagascar cartoon (home decoration) online? Super-size (Madagascar) wallpaper (for home's wall)? Is there any place I can get wallpaper of Madagascar and of other cartoons on the Internet, preferably the free one? It's for putting on the wall of the kid's bedroom wall which measures about 13 feet by 13 feet. Urgent. Thank you beforehand for all the answers! TQ for the answer. Btw, it's Madagascar wallpaper for interior design as wished by a client..
My 18 year old son still shares a room with his 12 year old sister. Is that okay? Should I separate them? he's going to live with us through college for financial reasons. Our house has a total of five bedrooms. A bedroom for me and my husband, the kid's bedroom, my personal gym, our media room (with our computer and the tv with the video games), and my husband's racecar room. Is it about time that we separated them? they complain about it on a daily basis. I was thinking of maybe putting my daughter in the room above the garage.
Is this the typical living arrangement of a divorced couple still living together? Somebody moved out of the master bedroom. They live in a different part of the house. They either live in the guest bedroom or one of the kid's old bedroom. They ignore each other. Please share what else you know. You know a divorced couple who still live together? Thanks! Christine Cox: you did not have to be so mean. No reason for that.
How would you feel about the kid's bedrooms being on the main floor? We are buying a house which is a definite move up from what we have now. there are 2 bedrooms on the main floor and the master is on the top. i didn't think anything of it until my friend said she would be worried about the kids being on the main floor in case someone breaks in... now im questioning this.... we have 2 large dogs, that bark if a fly lands on the wall, so i wasn't really worried about stuff like that... how would you feel about your children being on the main floor? i have a 6 yr old and a 7 month old.... the front door of the house is closer to the upstairs room than the kids actually... the 2 main floor rooms are at the other end of the house, away from the doors. one room faces the backyard, which is fenced, the other faces the side and the front.... its a safe neighborhood with a middle school several streets across and the highschool right down the street... road is not busy..... i was thinkin about just putting some privacy shades on their windows too.... and its a cape cod, so its really just a half story up (the main room). the only space up there is the bedroom, a bath, and a loft. kelly- that is tragic..... :*( and you def raise a good point... we plan on this only being a 5 year house (our first home) so the whole teenager thing isnt a concern lol. dream home would be a sprawling ranch in a country setting. NURSE- EXCELLENT idea!!!!!!
What's the most effective way to remove white glue from a plaster wall? One of the kid's bedrooms is wallpapered. When some rough housing got too rough the paper tore. Instead of telling mom, my child decided to use some white school glue (like Elmer's) on the wall to repair it. Now that I know what happened and removed the wallpaper, the plaster wall underneath has globs of white glue on it that won't chip off. I've tried heat, doesn't touch it. I've tried scraping, no go. Would a power sander help? I'd probably have to rent one, but I'm desperate! Help?
I have an old gas furnace (1965) should I replace it? I just bought a new home, the realtor said as long as the furnace is working don't worry about it. But 1965 is pretty darn old. How do I know if its time to replace it? Also, I always seem to notice a very faint gas smell just around the furnace itself - the gas company just serviced the furnace so i imagine its okay but it has be a bit worried as the furnace is near my kid's bedrooms. thoughts?
How do I stop my 2 year old Cavalier King Charles from messing in the house? She only does it if nobody is watching so she knows it's wrong. She mainly does her business in the garden but in the early hours of the morning she will go downstairs and poo in the living room. Even if I go down with her and open the back door for her she will wait till I have gone back to bed and do it sometimes...especially if it's raining! She also pees in the kid's bedrooms, again if nobody is in them, but she never does it in mine! (She sleeps in my room). I am buying a house with my partner and moving in with him in a few weeks. I have to stop her or she will ruin our new house, and probably our relationship. I have a 4 year old cavvy dog as well. He was toilet trained easily as a puppy and would never mess in the house.
Kids sharing bedroom in new home? My husband I are moving into a two story home with 3 bedrooms; however, the master and extra room are upstairs and the guest bedroom is downstairs. I have a 22 month old daughter and a unborn baby on the way, and would like to go ahead and have them share a room and be close to our bedroom....should I put them in together immediately and let my daughter hear the crying all night from the new baby, or should I let the baby sleep with me first for a few months and then move the baby over to the kid's room?
What to put in sitting room outstide kids bedroom? We are in the middle of renovating and we are wondering what to put in a sitting room area outside our kids's rooms. They are 19, 17 and 14 years old. It is upstairs so we don't want a ping pong table or anything like that. Any creative ideas? (They are not big readers).
Websites with Murals for kid's rooms? I'm getting ready to redecorate my son's bedroom. He's 6. I want to paint a mural in his room and I know that they have paint by numbers wall murals. Anyone know a really good website with lots of choices?
where can I buy a kid's throw rug - not online? I want to put an area rug near the crib since I don't have a nursery, just some space in an extra bedroom (that also contains other furniture). I figure the rug would kind of separate the baby's space. I found some really cute ones - designed specifically with bright colors, shapes, animals, etc on www.rugstomydoor.com but they are very expensive. Is there a brick and mortor store with that kind of product?
Bedroom design? I need a website that will allow me to create a 3D bedroom. I've been waiting to change my whole room around and it's kind of hard to just draw it out on paper. Not a kid's site, please.
Kid's Room Decorating Ideas? I'm looking for decorating ideas for my 8 year-old son's bedroom. We're looking for something interesting and unique. We've seen a lot of "kid's fantasy" themes, which are neat but not quite it. Also, we don't want anything pretentious or too "artsy" - this is a kid's room after all. I'd like to have something done to the ceiling perhaps. It always seem to get left out in pretty much all the decorating schemes we've seen. Any ideas?
How to decorate kid's room, boy & girl sharing? What should I do to my kid's room???? (pics included)? I have a boy and a girl, they share a room for now until we add on the 3rd bedroom. The walls are painted yellow but I haven't done much with decorating because I don't know what to do as far as keeping it neutral! They have their own beds but one is being fixed because the wooden frame broke, they both have character bedding but none of them match the others' lol. I do want to paint just need to decide on a color, & whether or not to do some kind of theme..... Also I know the room is on the small side, which is why we're adding on so they can each have their own room. Any ideas or suggestions on a color scheme, theme, or other decorating ideas as far as the walls, etc? http://s306.photobucket.com/albums/nn272/jordana0305/Kids%20Room/?action=view¤t=New006.jpg http://s306.photobucket.com/albums/nn272/jordana0305/Kids%20Room/?action=view¤t=New009.jpg They are 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 :-)
Toy storage ideas for kid's room? We have a couple of full-sized book shelves in our living room, the bottom two shelves of each which have been devoted to toy storage. My 4 1/2 year old has enough space in his bedroom to accommodate them all now, and since his friends that come over are old enough to play in his room with out needing constant adult supervision, I want to shift most of those toys into his room. What do you use for toy storage in your kid's rooms? My first thoughts are to pick up a couple of the tupperware-esq drawers, or a utility type shelving unit, but both are pretty bad aesthetically speaking and a bit ghetto. Should I be looking for a deep book shelf instead? What do you use?
More than half of our home's electrical outlets have stopped working over the years.? We tried to change out 2 of the outlets but they still don't work. Is this possibly a wiring issue? Or do I need to check/replace something else? Breakers are not tripped. It started with our bathroom outlets going kaput and then a few in our living room stopped working, and then my kid's bathroom outlets, and now their bedroom ones! This is driving me crazy!!! Thank you everyone for your feedback! I am calling an electrician!!! : )
Organization in my house!? I have a messy family. Two children under the age of five and a messy husband. I am getting tired of constantly picking up after them. I clean my kid's bedrooms and 10 minutes later the rooms are messy again. Three year old DD loves to take her bins out, throw clothes out of her drawers and closets, changing her clothes 4 times a day... (DS is pretty good about picking up his messes). Hubby's bedside table is a disaster area and our desk in the bedroom is horrible (papers everywhere). I am sick of having to clean it up! But I feel that some of it is my part because my house isn't too organized and there isn't a lot of room to put things. Any suggestions? How can I keep a clean desk, keep the laundry up, kids room clean??? YIKES! I really want to buckle this down. It looks bad on a mother that can't keep her house clean. I just don't know where to start anymore. You wouldn't think it bothers me, but it really does. I hate living in a mess.
how to get rid of stuff? we have six people living in a five bedroom house. two couples, two kids. not too worried about the kid's stuff, i go through that periodically and toss unused/broken/ill fitting stuff. but i am tired of my roommates mess and not having any kind of room for me to have much beyond clothes becuase my bf is a packrat! not to mention, we found out we have a baby due in april. i need to convince people to get rid of some of their stuff, for health reasons (my roomates section of the house is awful, unsanitary and just plain nasty) and for reasons that we just doin't have the room. this much stuff is difficult to clean up, difficult to keep organized and just plain awful for me because only about 10 percent of it is mine and i am stuck dealing with it. I can't even get a job (i tried and the house bloody well fell apart) i'm on the verge of hysterics. help! well, we've decided it's best for me, the kids and him to move out. if he doesn't get the job he's after. we need a cheaper place than this. It just galls me because i lost my kids once because of a similar situation with roomates last year, they know this and they don't care. it's gonna be cramped with people, but it's only temporary (six months) until we have to move out to get a bigger place. we've already figured out how to save the money while we are there, and we know the place we want to move to.
What color is your 2-year-old's room painted? I am pregnant, so that means that my son gets to move across the hall to the bigger bedroom! I'm leaving the nursery as it is since it is painted green. It will work for a girl also. I can't decide what color to paint my son's room. I'm considering using the same green as the nursery since I love it. I'm also thinking of pale blue, but is that too cliche? Right now it has an extremely old/bad paint job, so I have to change it before he moves rooms. What color is your kid's room painted? He's not yet able to tell me what he wants. He doesn't watch TV or have many licensed toys, so he wouldn't pick one of those themes. My best guess right now is that he'd like cats and dogs.
where in surrey i can buy nice and cheap furniture? im just one day to be in surrey,we r moving from ont. we gonna have everything new for our new home.....im wonder where can i get a nice and cheap furniture for living room..kid's room and bedroom.. 1st we want to buy a good matresses, any idea where can i get them? pls for adress thx
What was the name of that 90's kids programme? Not sure when abouts in the 90's, but it was cool. All i remember toys comming to life in a kid's bedroom, every time he used to go out No, it wasent Toy Story, lol, infact i think it was before the. The kid lived in a high rised flat with his mom, and there was a talking hot water bottle, and a talking truck, What was it called, anyone remember??? OoooOOOhhh, and it was shown in the U.K!!!! not america.
why is this bird trying to get in my window? there is a robin that tries to get into my kid's bedroom window it will sit on the edge or in the tree next to the window for hours and try to get in by flying up to the window and jumping up and down on the ledge. we had the same problem at the house we moved from 2 years ago but it was a cardinal and it would do the same thing at the kid's bedroom window. the two rooms are completly different and i cannot think of anything that would be attracting them i have tried covering the window but this does not work
Bedroom design ideas for a ten year old girl? Hi! I'm on my older sister's Yahoo account because I'm too young to make my own. Anyways, I'm ten years old and every three to five years I get the design of my bedroom changes. I want it to kind of seem like I'm smart, because thats what I'm known for: My straight A's. A+'s in every class~ :D I don't brag about it, but I don't deny that I'm smart. My favorite color is orange and I love polka dots. My bed sheets don't match orange walls, though. I have a multi-colored bedspread: It's white, brown, blue, green and has all different designs. I also have a blue carpet and blue sparkly curtains. I can't change my furniture, though. Not aloud. I have white furniture and a pink lamp. I have pink walls right now. I just really want a nice room... I have a very small room and all my stuff is cramped into it. So, I basically want a room that's nice and sofisticated but shows I have spice and still has a kid's heart (I'm gonna have this room 'til I'm fifteen >.>). I like blasts of bright colors. Orange, yellow, lime green. Did I give you enough information? :B
Heater/AC unit making loud grinding noise? Last night my heater started making this horribly loud grinding noise. I had it on for a little bit today without the noise, but then it all the sudden started doing it. I can't keep it on because it's very loud and it's right next to my neighbor's kid's bedroom. Could it maybe be the ice at the bottom? Is there anything I can do to fix it (or at least try?) It's FREEZING! Please help? I would... except its the middle of the night. Nobody is going to come out in the middle of the night, and in the mean time we're freezing and don't have any space heaters (not to mention we're working on the last fire log, furniture is up next!) It's seriously negative numbers outside, and it's getting down to freezing in here, so I need to hopefully do something tonight.
Is it mandatory for married couples to sleep in same bedroom for all 7 days of week ? Take my question seriously. Obviously when you have to share thoughts or for some obvious reasons you will have to be in same bedroom. But I think some days I would prefer to be alone in the bedroom so that I can listen to music I want , work on my laptop , have my favorite coffee or just enjoy my lonelism. In short I can get the space and freedom I wish to have. I am sure you cannot have it when a guy is sleeping next to you all 7 days of week. Sometimes I may even like to sleep in kid's room and entertain them. So I am suggesting you and your spouse can have separate bed rooms with a facility of double beds. I want very frank answers. Has anyone thought like me ? If majority feel this question is stupid then I will delete it ! But express your views. Edit - Thanks for such frank answers ! I think married couples can add more fun and excitement in married life if they have separate bed rooms. There will be privacy at the same time you can have intimacy when you feel like. We need to change our mind set , views and concepts about relationship after marriage. Women do required their privacy and space even after marriage. Marriage does not mean you own or possess each other as someone has said.
Kid's joke....he he he...? A mother was working in the kitchen, listening to her five-year old son playing with his new electric train in the living room. She heard the train stop and her son saying, "All of you bas tards who want off, get the hell off now, cause this is the last stop! And all of you bas tards who are getting on, get your low-income as ses in the train, cause we are going down the tracks." The horrified mother went in and told her son, "We don't use that kind of language in this house. Now I want you to go to your room and you are to stay there for TWO HOURS. When you come out, you may play with your train, but I want you to use nice language." Two hours later, the son came out of the bedroom and resumed playing with his train. Soon the train stopped and the mother heard her son say, "all passengers who are disembarking the train, please remember to take all of your belongings with you. We thank you for traveling with us today and hope your trip was a pleasant one." She then hears the little boy continue, "For those of you just boarding, we ask you to stow all of your hand luggage under your seat. Remember, there is no smoking on the train. We hope you will have a pleasant and relaxing journey with us today." As the mother began to smile, the child added, "For those of you who are pis sed off about the TWO HOURS delay, please see the bi tch in the kitchen." he he he....howzzat?
kid's counselor advised me to stop visitation to NCP. he has also moved- refuses to give new address. advice? despite serious concerns I had about visitation, he was awarded limited unsupervised visitation. I complied, but he would often not have food, neglected a medical problem that landed her in an ER, kept her truant from school, and isolated in a tiny bedroom with him the entire visit (rents a room in a small house with unknown roommates). dozens of other issues as well. child's counselor advised me to stop visits and file an ex parte- I did. denied until hearing. for her safety and welfare I refused to allow visits. hearing is in less than two weeks and he has now moved without a forwarding address or phone (disconnected). left messages on my home phone he wouldn't see her for months but replied to court he wanted no change to visits. what now? don't qualify for legal aid, can't afford an attorney- I spend all my $ on my daughter, there is no support order (he has next to no income). ideas? he is statinghe wants me jailed for contempt. state is CA. Papa bear I am sure you are a strong advocate for caring dads who don't get the rights they deserve but could you for one moment STOP assuming every mother out there is a vindictive witch out to use the kids to her advantage? I have bent over backwards to keep a relationship between them, even when he was homeless, even when he would disappear for months at a time, even when he was jailed and even with active restraining orders in place due to DV issues. I'm asking for supervised visits until he can demonstrate stability- not termination of rights. this is about HER, not HIM so kindly get off your high horse and open your eyes to the fact that some fathers aren't worth the title. btw I've been on Yahoo for 11 years with this screen name, it isn't new. paranoid much? others contributing- you are appreciated. taking some steps already and will put other suggestions to use. we both thank you deeply.
Australian Shepherd or Border Collie? looking for a frisbee/ agility dog this dog would be a family pet also (would live indoors but be outdoors a lot of the time and sleep in kid's bedroom) this dog would live on a farm with horses/ sheep which is easier to train? would an aussie have enough energy to herd the sheep and run around and play with the kids most of the day? Thanks so much
is there a number you can call to turn in illegal alien's? I have some living next to me. I know where one of them work's too. can't the landlord, employer, or just them be turned in? how do I do it. they are living about 13 people in a two bedroom trailer, about 7 of them are kid's. that has to be neglect, right?
Raggedy Ann and Andy movie from the 70's or 80's? I was born in '81 (to give you a frame of reference) and my mom rented me this tripped out movie with Raggedy Ann and Andy. I think they escape from a kid's bedroom or something. Don't think it was a musical but it had at least one tripped out musical sequence in it. It was a cartoon, obviously.
Spiders are all over my house!? I've been seeing an abundance of spiders darting across my floors lately. In the laundry room, kitchen, family room, kid's bedroom. It seems like their everywhere! They're brown, about the size of a quarter, fast little buggers, and seem to prefer the floor. Could my house be harboring a nest or something? What can I do about it? I'm not totally arachnophobic but this is just getting too much. I really don't want my family getting bit. Any suggestions?
How can I paint a world map on my kids bedroom wall? I would like to paint a large world map onto one of the walls in my boys bedroom, I really believe that kids should know about other countries and where they are etc, plus my kids are really interested in this. Does anyone know where I can get a large worldmap stencil or any other ideas on how to get the map on the wall reasonably accurately? Any other suggestions on further brightening up the room with a 'world' theme would be appreciated - it is a very large room which both my boys share.
My kids bedroom stinks like a dead animal What could be the problem? We have cleaned their room from top to bottom thinking that one of them brought food into the room and it rotted....But that's not it. We even looked under the trailer looking for a dead animal and can't seem to find anthing. It reiks of DEAD animal in the bedroom though and its making me sick...not to mention that i am pregnant and can't stand smelly stenches. I have febreezed the room and its so powerful that its overpowering the febreeze. Does anyone know what could be the problem? Thanks in Advance. We do have mice that we hear chewing on things. I never thought that a mouse could cause such a stench though...I would think maybe a cat....but not a mouse. I am so glad we're moving soon. ok my kids are not school aged kids. They are preschooler and toddler...the toddler is the only one who uses the sippy cup and I never put milk in it. Its only water. When she drinks milk its in the kitchen only.
Is there a safe way to keep a 2 year olds bedroom cool? We have no air conditioning here. We live in N.Y military housing and they don't have a.c.'s in them. We can't put one in the kids bedroom because the windows aren't double windows. Are the window fans safe? Would he put his finger in it? Do they have a guard over the fan? I can't put a regular fan in his room, because I don't trust him with it.
What color or exactly to decorate my kids bedroom? I am moving to a house and will needed painted. I wanted to paint and decorate my kids room. Both of them are boys. Three and a five year old. They both will be sleeping in the same room together. I am trying to figure out want to do for them to be happy in our new place and they like cars and balls. I really want it to be special.
how can I get crayon off my kids bedroom wall? my kids room is flat painted, and my four year old decided to practice his writting skills. I tried to use a magic eraser but it seems to be taking the paint off but "magically" embedding the crayon further into the paint! WTF! please help. thanks
Average sized kids bedroom? I had to make a floor plan for a kids bedroom with the dementions and everything, and I made it 15x20' I was wondering if this was kinda large or too small. Its for two kids to share btw.
Help with redoing a bedroom? Hey can you give some web sites of cool furniture and ideas for a kids bedroom that is 12 years old? Please help!
is it alright to have 2 kids in one bedroom? I know several people that have 2 kids share a room. we own a 2 bedroom house and don't want to sell and move. but we are going to be having another child. my son now is 3 years old. i hoping he will adjust to having a a baby in his room. but i wont put the baby in there until it sleeps through the night.
Is it ok to kick my neighbours tomcat if I catch it spraying in my kids bedroom again? It's taken to coming in if the doors or windows are open and pissing up the walls and on my kids bedding. It's driving me nuts. Is it wrong to throw reasonably heavy things at it or kick it? My house stinks! No-one has screen doors in Europe, we just leave the doors and windows wide open in summer. It gets hot, and shutting them isn't an option. I'm guessing aircon is the norm in America. Shutting the windows isn't an option here.
What age can kids have a bedroom in the basement? Is it safe? Our children are still to small to have a bedroom in the basement? (They are under 5 yrs old.) But what age would be okay and is it safe? I should of asked my question more clearer. I would never have my 5yr old downstairs. I was wondering if 10 yrs old would still be to small?
decorating kids bedroom & bathroom? My boyfriend and I don't have his kids stay with us very often so when they do all 4 of them stay in the same bedroom. We haev two sets of bunk beds. The room isn't that big but I would like to set it up so that it is more appealing & more useful to the kids. (2 boys and 2 girls ages 5-10). The room is white. Bathroom attached is yellow and I have started a fish theme. Anyone got any advice as to how to make this work for the kids?
Anyone have any creative ideas involving housing a family of four in a two-bedroom apartment? There are two adults and two children (ages 8 and 6) in the family, and I'm looking for a cteative way to house us in a two-bedroom apartment. Since I have one girl and one boy, each has one bedroom right now, and my boyfriend and I sleep on a futon in the living room and I share the closet with my daughter, he shares the one in my son's room. It's nice for the kids because they each have a fairly large room to themselves, but my boyfriend and I don't have much privacy! I'm trying to think of other ways to make the situation work....and we're looking at another apartment, also with only 2 bedrooms (because getting a three-bedroom where we live is very difficult and it costs almost twice as much as a two-bedroom!). Anwyay, this new apartment we're considering has one of it's bathrooms in the master bedroom, which means whichever kid gets that room will get the bathroom and the other three of us will have to share the remaining bathroom. Is there another way we could set things up? We like where we live (a block from the beach) and don't want to move to another area!! :P I really don't feel it's appropriate for an 8 year old girl and a 6 year old boy to be sharing a room (in fact, in some states, it's illegal, if I'm not mistaken!)
How many can live in a 2 bedroom apt in Pennsylvania? My ex lives in a small 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apt in Pennsylvania, with my 2 kids ages 6 and 7. She just let her boyfriend move in with his 2 kids, ages 3 and 4. So that is a total of 2 adults and 4 kids in a 2 bedroom 1 bath apt. Is this legal?
Aprroximate cost of building an extra bedroom? The home we are in is only 2 bedrooms, with two kids, it's too small. We plan on doing all the work ourselves, but my question to you all is about supplies. Apprx. how much is one (12x12) bedroom going to cost in supplies alone? Husband has construction experience, and I've asked him this question a few times, but for some reason, he needs to go into a huge story, so I turn to yahoo answers :) We aren't talking about anything special, just a basic bedroom. We are in Mo.
