Full Size Bedroom Sets Knowledge Base
I desperately need a full size bedroom set, how do I go about asking for one? I live in a city housing apt. and the bedrooms are very small. When I moved here in 2007 I bought an Ikea queen size bed and tried to put it together and besides taking up most of my bedroom space in which I can't even walk around, it came out to be a piece of junk which fell apart. My son and I wind up constantly on the floor because the wood underneath does not hold the mattress correctly, and the chest of draws fell apart and no matter how many times I glue it, it continues to fall apart. I cannot afford to buy any bedroom sets right now because I am not working my son lost his job and has not found one yet. My only income is from my SSI benefits once a month and with that I pay my rent and cable, phone and there is not much left for any luxuries. What ever is left over is for household toiletries and laundry detergent which are so expensive. If there is any possibility that you can help me in obtaining a full size bedroom set I would gladly appreciate it. Thank you.
Are furniture and bedding companies seriously stopping production of Full Size Beds, n covers? In my freecycle group i read the following post "Me and my son have just recently moved into our new apartment and he doesn't have a bed I would like to upgrade to a queen since they are no longer manufacturing full size bedroom sets and give him my old bed. I would like to see if anyone has one in good condition that they might be wanted to get rid of. If so please contact me and let me know. Thanks." Are they seriously trying to only have Twin, Queen and King? or is this lady confused.
Looking to purchase a Full size bed for an adult pls Help!? I'm looking for a bedroom set but I need the bed to be a full size not queen, my bedroom is rather small and the wall where the bed will fit best is only 115" long. I want a bed and two night stands one on each side. So a queen is out of the question. So far most places I've looked do not offer their bed set on a full. Only child beds come in full size. I know that there has to be a shop willing to order a full size in an adult looking bedroom set. Anyone know of a good place to look?
where to find metal bedroom set? I am looking for small bedroom set like apartment size or full bedroom size ( not queen or king ). Is there any website to check out or some store that might have one? Also I am looking for both metal and platform bedroom set. Is there is any website or store is on discount then that great.
For a relationship, what size of bed should I buy, Full or Queen? I am a single (as of now), short (5'7") male and I am now looking to buy bedroom furniture. Right now, I sleep in full size bed, and it's more than enough room for me, but I would like my bedroom set to be relationship ready. So when I get a girlfriend, obviously I don't want to have to change my bed size. So assuming a girl is about my height or less, what would be an appropriate size of bed, Full or Queen?
what is a good website to find bedroom collections/sets? I am right now 12, but i am using my cousins account. But anyways, i need a new bedroom set/collection because my twin sized bed isn't big enough for me. Where is a good website where i can find full/queen sized bed made out of wood. I have checked Macy's and i have found some pretty nice beds, but i want to compare. I don't care if they are cheap or expensive because the quality is what my mom wants for me.

How much could I sell this bedroom set for? The set includes ~Full size bed frame ~box springs ~Mattress ~Nightstand ~Dresser ~Dresser with mirror attached It's all in really great condition considering that I've only used it as a guest room set. There's only one nick on one of the dressers, but it's not very large.

Why do bedroom sets only come with one nightstand? I could see maybe if it were a twin sized bed or maybe even a full, but why on earth would they think only one nightstand would suffice for a queen or king sized bed that two people sleep in? Why do the furniture people do that?
Full bed or 2 twins for little girls sharing a room? My girls will be sharing a room, and when the youngest is ready for a big girl bed (they are 16 months apart), I need to know if we're going to set up bunk beds or a full-size bed to share. Their bedroom is not very big, so I thought bunks would save floor space, but then I also have to worry about falls and bunks are such a pain to change sheets on! Which do other parents recommend-- bunks or a full bed?
How should I redo my bedroom? Okay, I'm 14 and I'm pretty bored with my bedroom. I want to paint my walls and everything but I need some help deciding what would look best. I've got a relatively small room, but it's not tiny. I've got beige/tan thick carpet. My walls are white:/ they are covered in vinyl records, picture discs, and a couple of posters, and a large foamboard painting I did(well not huge, its about 1 1/2 feet wide and 2 1/2 or 3 feet tall. I have a full bedroom set, including bedframe(headboard and footboard too)(bed is twin size) a huge dresser thing(with cabinets and drawers, smaller drawers on top, and a really big oval mirror) a pretty big chest of drawers, a night table with 2 drawers, and a 30 gallon fish tank, the base of which is white. And everything I mentioned is white. The dresser, chest, and bed all obviously go together, they all have a vintage flower design thing and all the drawers have a leaf-and-flower metal handle. I have a triple-guitar stand with 3 guitars on it, and my amp is always nearby. I have a shelf with lots of cds and several books on it hanging on my wall and another one hanging opposite it on the other wall, with speakers for my big stereo, which sits on my chest of drawers. My TV hangs from the ceiling. The free floor space in my room right now is probably about 8'x5'. The whole room is probably about 15'x15' or something. I'm not a girly girl or that big into sports. I'm a bit more of a hippie(earthy, psychedelic-loving, you know the drill(;..), maybe with a bit of punk in there somewhere too. I like my rock. I'd like to do my room in something trippy, neon colors with a blacklight or something(and I could get a lava lamp!:D, but would that look okay with my furniture? And also, would that be alright with my fish? Do fish like blacklights? An alternative option would be The Nightmare Before Christmas, because I've got a slight obsession. I could paint my walls like the scenes in the movie. Would a blacklight be okay for that? And, would the white furniture go with that? I don't want to sell my furniture. Just work around it. The only furniture I could paint would be(maybe) the base of the fish tank. I've got a few music posters, lots of vinyl, a big ski on the wall(haha) and a guitar exercise poster. I'd like to leave most of these up. The ski is along the ceiling though so it will not get in the way of anything. Oh yeah, a third option I'm considering is doing it in the rasta colors(red, yellow and green.) but how would that look with white furniture? thanks for reading, i know it's a bit long[=
how much do you think this bedroom set is worth? Okay i don't have pictures but was wondering how much you think it is worth -used -couple of nicks here and there -includes desk, nightstand, full sized bed, T.V. stand, and dresser with mirror. -it is sorta off white colored -tween/teen furniture thank you and be honest :) okay, i did not get it from walmart i got it from compas kids and the bed i brand new and that cost $1000 dollars so i think its worth more than $200 but thanks
Which of these bedding sets would go best with a small black and white interior design bedroom? so my bed will need to be full sized one of the bedding sets is however in queen can't get smaller...there is a chance a queen may be able to fit..but with the size of the room, furniture and such I doubt it. http://www.home-decorating-co.com/sherry-kline-preston-bedding.html (could any carpet work also??) http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ULNR6K/ref=asc_df_B003ULNR6K1498026?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=dealt406535-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395093&creativeASIN=B003ULNR6K http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002UOATKU?ie=UTF8&tag=lifeofattr-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B002UOATKU ok then I need help with other things with the bedding like what color furniture and links that would go...I suppose emailing me or me emailing you through yahoo answers if u wish to further help would be best..THANKS
Would an ikea futon frame handle a full-size mattress and 2 people? I have a complete ikea futon mattress and frame which i bought probably a little over 2 years ago, my husband and I decided to change our queen size bed to a futon bed for regular use because of our bedroom space. Now, although the frame has held strong, my back never got used to the futon and i was thinking of adding a full mattress in the set. Would it be ok to do this? Also, would our weight, added to the whole set, do any damage to the frame? The support underneath is wood, just for added info.
I'm moving in two months, and I need to buy a ton of furniture. Can you recommend the cheapest, best deals on? living room and bedroom furniture? I need to buy: sectional sofa, coffee table, bar, kitchen table and chairs, artwork, area rug, queen size bedroom set, mirrors, etc. How much do you think I can expect to spend? And should I finance or pay in full? Thanks.
How do I match up a bed frame to my headboard? Recently I bought a bedroom set and it came with a headboard. The headboard supports a queen size bed. I had a full-size bed. If I find a good bed frame how can I know if it will attach? I guess they all come with something for connecting the frame to the headboard? I did find a bed frame at Wallmart but it it says it doesn't require the box spring. So, maybe it will be too high to connect onto the headboard. Thanks in advance for the help, Bruce
whats the legal size limit for boxroom to be then classed as a bedroom? we have a three bedroomed semi and we are the end of a ter row, these houses were built by the same person that still owns my next door but one neighbours, who is been charged for a two b/room house with a box storageroom. My landlord is charging and saying its a three bedroomed house while including this box storage room. This room has the boiler for the house in and is unable whichever way i try to fit a standard single bed in never mind also a wordrobe. How do i go about proving to my landlord that he cant class it as a bedroom or can he?? If i say anything to him about it i want the legal relevant paperwork to prove this dispute, As this would mean his overly charged 3 bed rent amount would have to be lowered, How can i make the rent be ajusted without bad feeling setting in between me and the landlord???? Im paying £550 and feel im been a bit robbed as this means i would have to move when my children need full sized beds as there boy and girl!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks everyone!! can i just add though that i was not in any situation at the time to complain as i was due to have a prem baby and needed somewhere quick!! this is only now an issue because of the lack of repairs he is doing to the ones that are adding up. whan i viewed it you never see the niggly bits and need to live in a place to notice, this room was not able to be used for the first 10 months due to not having a valid corgy check and that room was intended for my baby girl who was prem just after the time i first moved in which for another 14 days i was in hospital after nearly loosing her and getting an infection in my section wound which took aprox 3 months for it to heal to a degree so i cud walk, i was not in the right frame of mind but in the best intrests of the landlords tenants you would of thought he wud know his duties before thinking of letting it out and before we moved in as this should of been taken care of.
how do i fix a messy bedroom? now, i have alot of shoes (even a few i never worn and had them over a yr) i have 3 pc's, 1, tv entertainment center, bookshelf, 4 sets of speakers, 3 shelf stereos, full size bed, file cabinet, 3 music keyboards (synths), and my closet isnt that big, so i can fit all my clothes in it. but its cluttered... what do i do to solve this problem?
IS MY ANTIQUE FURNITURE WORTH ANYTHING? I have a bedroom set that my grandparents gave me a long time ago. this bedroom set was their frst set together when they were young. they are now in their late 70's. ive had it ever since i was a teenager and now that im older and have purchased a house & its time to say goodbye. what i have is a real wood bedroom set from webb furniture company in galax virginia. the bed is full size. the set includes headboard, footboard, frame, 4 drawer dresser & vanity with large mirror. does anyone know if this could sell for a high value??? any help would be appreciated! also how could i sell it if its worth something??
I am shopping for a bedroom set for my 14 year old daughter. Is $3400 a lot of money or a reasonable price? She has had the same bedroom set since she was around 7. Her bedroom definately needs new furniture, Since most of it is broken/outdated. I am shopping at PBTeen, she told me she wanted white furniture. My main concern is spending too much money because she will be going to college in 4 years. The set that cost 3,400 includes: 1 Full sized bed 1 Night stand 1 Dresser 1 Desk 1 Office Chair 1 Small bookshelf 1 Full body mirror. OR i could drop a few items, The price would change to 2,835: 1 Full sized bed 1 Night stand 1 Dresser 1 Desk 1 Office Chair Should i spend the extra 600 on two items? or is the furniture just too expensive in general? I showed her pictures and she loves it, My friends daughter has the same brand furniture and loves it. Just wondering if i am investing too much money for 4 years.

HELP! Need to find a bedding set my fiance can live with too!? I recently got a new apartment and was planning on doing a mostly pink bedroom.... However, now my fiance is also moving in and I know he would NOT love a pink room! My walls are beige and cant be painted.. But can anyone help me find a cute bedding set for a full size bed that would be girly, but not overly so?
Help me find a good bed that suits my "expectations"? I'm looking for a good bed to buy for my room, because I'm going to renovate over the summer. I'm looking for a full size bed, that's black (or has a really dark finish) , that has storage (or room for storage boxes underneath), and has a sleek, modern, contemporary look. It would be awesome if it had a headboard of some sort. (Sorry for being picky... XD ) My mom said it'd be good if it was solid wood, but what are the pros and cons of using solid wood? What about engineered woods? (Other than price) We live in a humid town. Sorry for all the vague questions... XD Here are some beds I kinda like: http://www.humbleabode.com/Sonoma-Platformbed-Headboard-Prepac https://furniturefromhome.com/products/Quality-Bedroom-furniture-set-sets-beds-queen-king-full-twin/bedroom-furniture-coa400180T http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10074929

CH&A experts, is there a certain size unit recommended for larger homes? Please read on? I just moved. I was living in a small 2 bedroom home, that stayed very cool when using the CH&A. The house I live in now is 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, with large living room & large kitchen. I noticed that it gets awfully hot in here. The CH&A unit is about 1/2 the size of the one that was at my smaller house. I can't convince the landlord that something is wrong. I'll have it set on 66 & it will be 80 degrees in here. The other day, it was 95 in here! He came & looked @ it when it was early in the morning & wasn't so hot. He had professionals come out here 3 times. The last time, they told us it needed replaced. But then he came & said it didn't. If there is a certain size or "specification" CH&A unit that is recommended for this size of a home, please tell me what it is & where on the unit I could look to find out what size the one that is here now is. I'd like to give him a professional's opinion. Thank you!
Help with peeing cat? The cat I have had for three years recently started peeing all over the house. When in first got her she was three and I lives with my parents. She started peeing a month before I got married. She had to stay with my parents for a couple months until my husband and I got settled. During that time she keep peeing at my parents house. We moved into a small one bedroom with an office and she came to live with us. The peeing stopped for a year. My husband and I got on post housing and moved into a medium size three bedroom condo. I set up the nursery and full size bed and I caught her peeing on the baby stuff! All over the brand new mattress and bedding. She has also peed in the box of toys in my office. I clean her cat box everyday twice a day. Havent changed the brand of litter. She uses the cat box. I have one for every level of the house I even bought all brand new litter boxed. They arr the ones that clean themselves every 20 minutes. I Don't know what to do. My husband told me that she has to go If she doesn't stop. She has been checked for a uti and is healthy as a horse. Any ideas what I can do? The vet says that if she doesn't stop rehoming her isn't an option because she will just keep doing it. That usually cats that keep peeing will get put down. I can't do that she is my baby and I would die If I had to do that. Just think about rehoming her or putting her down has me balling for hours.
Help me find the PERFECT bedroom furniture set? It has to have a full sized bed, a nightstand, a desk (preferably not a computer desk) with lots of drawers, and a dresser with a mirror. A vanity would be nice too. All the furniture must match/be part of the same set. I really like modern furniture, light wood with metal accents. I love really light wood and dark wood (no medium). I really loved this set, except the desk is a computer desk and doesn't have enough drawers: http://www.justkidsbeds.com/Lea-Industries-iRoom-Bedroom-Series-LK2576.html Links and pics please! Thanks, I really appreciate it(:
How much would it cost to furnish this room? I need to furnish my new bedroom, as my parents are splitting and the furniture I have now is going to my dad's house. The room is about the size of a two-car garage, in the shape of an L. I'd like to have one section that is a normal bedroom, and a second one for entertainment. I'd want to paint the whole room, a couch, a recliner (already have one), a mini-fridge (may already have one), a 40" or 42" flat screen TV mounted on the wall, and a full bedroom set including a dresser, nightstand, etc. Also, a few pictures or something to hang on the wall, as there are no windows (its in the basement.) Also, offer some advice on how to furnish it, please.

How much would you sell this mattress set for? I've got an Englander full size pillow top mattress and box spring set with the metal bed frame. It's about 6 years old. Kept in very good condition with no stains, no rips or tears, no pets, and no smoking. Much of the time was barely used, as it was either in the guest bedroom or in storage. How much would you sell it for?
How can I get my kid to stay in his room at night? My son is 2 years old and he has his own bedroom. He sleeps in a regular full size bed (I guess because he likes it better than his transitional bed) that's in his room. He goes to bed fine and all but he ALWAYS gets up between 3am and 5am, comes in our room, and goes to sleep on a spot on the floor that I set up for him by our bed. He doesn't come in crying or anything like that but it's like a routine now. I'm worried now because we have another baby coming in June and I don't know what to do about this. My husband and I don't need everyone piled up in our room, lol!!! I don't mind it but I just don't understand why he's doing this. Could my son be sleep walking? Should I stop him from doing this or will he stop on his own? I'm scared that he might get a little jealous if he's sees that his sister is sleeping in our room but he's not.

bedroom furniture problem? for my bedroom i have a desk, my full size bed, and a tv stand, the problem being, the room is small and i only have ONE actual wall that isnt in the way of something, like the door, the big closet or the windows... i wanted to put my bed in the middle of on wall, with the desk on one side and tv stand on the other, but after doing measurements, i come up about 18 inches inches over, all the furniture added together is 138 inches and the room is 10x10 so one wall is 120 inches.. i dont like the way the room is set up now but i was wondering, could it work if i put the desk, my bed next to that, then the tv stand going on an angle? like in the corner if you know what i mean? heeelp!
Parents who love one child more? While I don't think this is a question anyone can answer on yahoo I still want opinions. ques: do you think my mom loves me less than others? My opinion is yes. There are many times when she thinks of others before me. Recently she asked me if i'd take my older sister's partial bedroom set which is only a bed frame and dresser and said she'd get my sister a full bedroom set. note: the rest of the bedroom set was taken by my brother who bought the set...he could take the rest anytime if he wanted. then we bought 2 queen mattress'. she announced later that only 1 would be delivered and I would have to wait on a different one. she automatically gave the 1st mattress to my sister whose bed is a comfy queen and while im sleeping on a hand me down twin sized bed and take at least 30 Min's to fall asleep. she also gave my sister 2 flat screens (1 for college, 1 for home, none for me).1 is in a box, 6 months used while my sister used the other for 2 1/2 yrs. my mom didn't do anything when my sister decided to keep the boxed up one and give me the one she is currently using (2 1/2 yrs). and the last scenario, i liked my moms diamond bracelet and she said she was giving it away. i asked for it and she instead gave it to my sister. yea i know these are material things but its about ethics and fairness. besides i never ask for anything not even shopping money. when i work i save and take a bus 2 hrs to college instead of expensive transit. and my dream was always to fix up my room which has mismatched hand me down furniture. i wish that if you give me something then its from your heart and i don't think my mom loves me enough to even think of my feelings first. it's not just material things. its generally, but these are just recent events. my mom does have a better bond with my sister. my sister is agreeable and i tend to speak out (not often, i hate confrontation) if i don't like something. even if i say it nicely "i don't like when you about my ___, or please don't do __" my mom will take it offensively and we start arguing. and i think just liking me less makes her think less of me.
HELP! Teenage girl's bedroom is a wreck!? My bedroom is very messy! I am home schooled so I have tons of books and papers laying everywhere. My bedroom is very small. Short description: Bed- full size, takes up 3/4 of the room. It always has tons of stuff on it and it is hard to make the bed. I have some stuffed animals that my sister won't let me get rid of. I always have books all over my bed. Dresser: surface is covered with stuff. I can't seem to keep it clean. The drawers are falling apart, but my mother won't let me have a new dresser. My clothes currently fit in all of the drawers, because most of them are always on the floor. Also, I have been growing out of a lot of clothes lately, so that has thinned the amount of clothes that I have. I have a small drawer for camisole tops and spanks. I also have a small drawer for all of my dance clothes. I think that the other small drawer just holds things like hairbrushes and stage makeup. It isn't very organized. I have four large drawers as well. They hold: 1.Shirts 2. shirts 3. pants 4. my sisters stuff and some shoes. The drawers are often hard to access due to the large amount of stuff in the surrounding areas. Piano: I have an heirloom piano that I received when my grandmother died. It is special and I use it every day for two hours because I have taken piano lessons for 6 years and I still do. There are some ugly figurines and stuffed animals on it and some jewelry that isn't organized. I also have a chair for my piano Desk: My desk is a triangle shaped piece of furniture that has a bookshelf attached to the top of it. IT holds lots of books, but I still don't have room for all of my books. Underneath the bookshelf is my computer and the monitor and a little organizing three-drawer thingy. Attached to the desk below is a drawer that is currently holding random things. On the floor underneath the desk is a disaster zone. Books piled everywhere! Things scattered all over the place! I also have a desk chair. Nightstand: I have a nightstand next to my bed. has a lamp and alarm clock. Has two drawers. Covered in junk. Floor: I can't even see my floor. Closet: Has a day-by-day clothing organizer that I don't really use because its hard to access. My closet is VERY small. I have to share it with my sister who is here every other weekend and on holidays and during the summer. She lives in my room during those times. She wrecks it and leaves her stuff here. My closet has various items in it including a bow and arrow set, canvases, paints and paint brushes, shoes, and small baskets holding underwear and socks. there is a rod going across my closet on which tons of clothes hang. Over the rod is a long shelf that is where I keep my baskets of clothes and painting tools. not organized. There are some shelves on the side but I can't get to them through all of the clothes. Besides that they are practically useless, because they are triangular and nothing fits on them. I also have a small, rolling file cabinet in there. I know, i know, its pretty weird to have a filing cabinet in your closet, but I can't find room for it anywhere else. I have a small white organizer that doesn't hold much. no books fit in it I have lots of books and magazines tons of shoes. They don't all fit on the shoe organizer on the back of my door. I also have a big shoe bag, but it makes it hard to get to my shoes The Uses of my room: sleeping (duh) spending time alone school room (im) not allowed to keep my books anywhere outside of my room and I do all of my school in here. remember, im homeschooled) practicing piano I keep my dance and theatre stuff in here I keep EVERYTHING that is mine in my room I paint and write and do other creative stuff. I don't like the amount of stuff in my room and Im willing to get rid of it, but its hard to get everything past my mom. I would like for everything to be organized and easy to maintain. I know I have written a lot, but I only ask you to give some suggestions in the areas in which you are knowledgeable. Thank you for your input! ~Miley
What bedding colors would match with deep plum walls? I've recently painted my medium sized bedroom a deep plum. I think it looks amazing, but I'm having a hard time figuring out which color bedding would go best. I already have a pale and dark purple bed set on my full sized bed, but I don't want to overwhelm the room in purple. And' I've also just purchased a queen sized mattress so Its time to switch it up. Since my room isn't huge I was figuring that I already have enough dark colors in my room and that light colored bedding would probably work best. The only thing I can think of is silver or gray. I'd probably say my style is modern and contemporary than old fashioned and floral. Any suggestions or links would be very helpful. Thanks in advance! here is the closest picture i could find on the net of a wall whose color resembled my own. http://kzgrbs.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/purple-wall-1.jpg
does anyone have bedroom ideas? im 15 and im redoing my room. i got a full size bed. and a comforter set. i also have a small vanity and a desk (not sure if its staying though). im either painting my room mint green or a lightish turqouise color with an accent wall in a darker color. i was wondering if anyof you guys had good ideas on how to decorate or arrange furniture or add fun to my room. oh its not the biggest room over...but its medium sizes. i also have a bookcase and an extra dresser in addition to my closet. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=119044 above is my comforter. thankss in advance.
For those of you with convertable cribs...how do you feel about the toddler bed? Baby #2 on the way...? I am getting ready to switch my daughter from her crib to her toddler bed and I am kind of dreading it. I don't really like the looks of the "toddler bed", it looks more like a daybed. On top of that, I'm shopping for new bedding and I'm afraid it won't lay right because of how it has the three sides. I guess I knew all of this when I purchased it, I was just more crib focused at the time. It seemed like it would be a lifetime until I actually needed the toddler bed. I still absolutely LOVE the crib and when it eventually turns into a full size bed I know I will love that too. It's just this middle transition that I'm having a hard time with lol! My husband and I thought about skipping the toddler bed altogether and just putting her straight in the full size bed. But we have baby #2 on the way and didn't really want to spend the money on a full size mattress right now. We were planning on buying new furniture for the baby. I know I'm probably just over-analyzing this situation but I don't know what to do (I blame the pregnancy lol). I've been looking for inexpensive used bedroom sets to put her in instead, thinking maybe we could save some money by just letting the new baby have the crib and furniture we already have. What did you do when baby #2 came? How did you feel about you toddler bed when it came time to convert?
What to make with twin sheets and pillow cases? My 9 year old daughter is CRAZY about Digimon and Pokemon. I would much prefer princess and ballet decor for her room (which is current) but she is nuts about these shows and the characters. I I decided to give in and get her the bedroom set but they do not come in full size to fit her bed. I can find twin flat sheets and pillow cases. Usually I'm crafty and creative but right now I'm working too many hours to think straight. What can I make for her out of those items. I have the idea to make a comforter out of the sheet, back it with fleece and quilt it. Any other ideas? What about the pillow cases? Any creative ideas? I had thought of perhaps a tote with draw string. I do sew quite well and am otherwise very crafty so any ideas you have shouldn't be beyond my skill. Thanks for the input! Thanks Star and ST. I feel so much better about approaching these projects now. I was just stumped. I feel armed now. I was disapointed that I couldn't find the bedding for her full size bed but perhaps I'll use a solid color and decorate with the Digimon things I make. You two are great! Knew I came to the right place! Oh Star, by the way, love the skirt idea. She is going to think she died and went to heaven.
My roommate sold my bed!!!? I had a full size bed that I let my roommate use for the time being because my boyfriend brought his queen when he moved in, and she only had a twin size. I let her use the headboard/footboard set that i had because it wouldnt fit with the queen size. The headboard/footboard goes with my bedroom set. About 2 weeks about I asked her to have it back because I was going to see the bed part (boxspring and mattress). I asked her and our other roommate about everyother day via text with basically no responce. I walked by one day and realized it wasnt in her room. We checked the garage and basement, nothing. Finally today I asked her in person where it was and she said SHE SOLD IT A MONTH AGO!!!!! What do I do about this?! PS. there are 5 of us... my boyfriend and I and 3 others. We dont get along with them at all and the bed was offered to her to USE (not keep) before we didnt get along.
Where can I find a Cheap Bedroom Set? I need a queen or full sized bedroom set. I've never had one, and have $500.00 to spend. I need to move some furniture from St. Paul to Seattle...? I have some antique furniture that needs to be moved from MN to Seattle. There are about 7 pieces including a tall headboard /full size bed, a couple trunks and a couple dressers. Basically a bedroom set + a few other pieces. How can I get them from point A to point B without spending a ton of money? The time it takes to get here isn't important. Its just that I am in Seattle and my stuff is in MN. My original thought was to fly out and rent a uhaul to drive it back. With the fuel cost skyrocketing, I just don't have the time or money. The people storing my stuff are kind of at the end of their rope patience wise. HELP! :)
One bedroom apartment and baby. Does this make sense to save money? Me and my husband are expecting our first child this spring. I have lived in my current apartment for almost 5 years and my husband moved in once we got married. It's on the smaller side, but we have a full size bed in our bedroom which gives us more than enough room to put a crib against the wall. The baby will be in a bassinet the first few months anyway so we don't have to set up a big crib right away. Our dog sleeps in our room also in his bed on the floor. We began looking at 2 bedroom apartments about a month ago, but most we didn't like or we had one landlord who upped the price a hundred dollars after meeting us because of the baby. Needless to say, we left that place quick. The cheapest place, which we didn't even like, is about $250 more a month than I'm paying and didn't include heat which gets expensive. We have heat and hot water included now and central air which saves us a bundle come the summer. It would be nice to have more space, but it comes at a price. We have money already saved towards a downpayment for a house but not enough yet. We plan to have enough money saved hopefully within the next 1 1/2 - 2 years. I can't see spending at least an extra $300 a month on rent added onto day care expenses we will have once I go back to work full time (I'm currenlty not working so we are also only on one income at the moment). Both I and most of the people in my family all slept in the same room with their parents when they were babies, so I don't think it will be that big of a deal. Plus, I hate having to move, we both like the area my apt is in and don't see the point of moving and spending money, to just move again in a year or so. So does it make sense to save money doing it this way?

A question about my room? Help!? MY BEDROOM: Its a good size, except i have a drum set that takes up like half of it, so i was thinking (try to picture this in your mind) that if my full sized bed is sticking out facing vertically then i could turn it so the side would be facing the wall. then i could get a small sofa or something to put in front of my armior so when friends come over we can watch tv. I was thinking.... has anyone seen the drake and josh movie really big shrimp? and when megan "feminizes" and moves into drake & josh's room well anyway, i though the little orange and pink circle sofa was small and really cool. does anyone know where i could purchase 1? (please dont say ikea or west elm i have already checked) plus any other space-savers or just general cool things to put in a teenage girls room? thanks alot, sorry no pics. okay so ya HELP
How to make a basement bedroom look better for a teenage girl? I didn't want to share a room with my younger sister anymore so, sometime around October, I moved my whole bedroom into the basement. It is better than sharing a room but the basement still needs a little bit of help. The ceiling is somewhat open- you can see pipes and wires and cords which I have been strictly instructed not to touch or hang things on. The walls are made of wood- but not a smooth kind. It's in many needle thin strips. There are nail heads and areas to hang things all over. The floor is a green and white tile that is falling apart. I have a small bed, a large desk, a tall dresser, a plastic crate/ nightstand, a small TV on a thin stand, dozens of posters which I have not put up, a bowel chair, and a full sized refrigerator. I want it to look neater and more feminine but it's very difficult with the way the room is designed. I plan on getting a carpet for my birthday but nothing is set in stone. Any suggestions? Yes, I do have an EGRESS window. There is more than one escape route in case of fire.

Dream about my grandmother who died 2 weeks ago? Last night I had a dream about her. On TV I have heard Sylvia Browne and John Edwards say that the deceased with contact you through your dreams. Is this true? My dream was this: It took place at my biological father's house (I have been there to visit my grandma before she died), and in the dining room a bedroom was set up for her. There was a small tv in the corner, and a like a full size bed with like a vine or ivory print on the sheets. My grandpa who is alive, was watching tv, and I was kneeling on the side of the bed by my grandma who was sitting up, and I kiss her nose (I have never done this before and she has never done this to me either) and she kissed my nose back, and said to me," This is why you always were our favorite", and I went to go hug her but I woke up. Now I am crying still because I just wanted to hug her again even if it was only in a dream. What does this mean? I've been thinking about going back to college again, could this be what she is proud of me for? The night she died, before I found out at 5am (she died at 1:30am), I had a dream I was at a counter in a diner, sitting with my two friends, mom, and sister, when I seen her walk in then she walked behind me touched my shoulder and said i love you. I laughed in the dream and said you too, then she said bye. Do you think she was trying to tell me something herself? I NEED TO KNOW
I need help with my room!? Okay, so my room is just, square. It has 2 windows on one wall, one on another 2 small closets and a mantle on another and a door on the last. My house is 192 years old and my Bedroom set is antiqueish. My floors are painted gray and my bed, desk, and dresser are all dark. My room gets a lot of light. I want bright exciting colors or medium ones maybe or maybe like, two walls really bright and exciting, or one wall and the other two or three a more, dark or neutral color. Like the bright color turned into a pastel or light. And I really need ideas. I can't think. Btw. I'm only 13. Please Help!! Thanks. :] P.S. I have a full sized bed.
I need some room arraignment ideas from either a knowledgeable person or an interior decorator.? Essentially I have a 3 br town home. The bedrooms are quite small. I have one bedroom setup as a master (my wife and I) with a full BR set (Queen, dressor, mirror, nightstand and chest) and the 2nd bedroom setup as my daughters room (it's the smallest). I have another bedroom that is kind of inbetween the sizes of the largest room and my daughters room. I'm not quite sure as to what that room should be used for. My study is in the basement (computer desk etc...). My wife wants it for a guest room. But she wants to put another small BR set in there. I don't feel comfortable with a bed in each room. I kind of want to do a study/br/activity room. Kind of like a sleeper sofa on the longest wall with bookcases all around and a small computer workstation in there. Kind of like a multi-purpose room. What is the 3rd and no use room commonly used for?
Is this a Good Deal on Bluebird Bus Conversion to an RV (motorhome)? I am looking to buy a 1979 Bluebird flat nosed Bus Conversion. Let me give you some details about the bus, Ill copy and paste from the Gentleman's add....1979 Bluebird bus completely converted to nice motor home. 5 year old 427 Chevrolet gas engine (completely rebuilt) 4000 watt two year old gas generator, 2 year old easy hook up tow hitch, 30 or 50 amp. electric, two roof top air conditioners (one runs on 30 amp and both run on 50 amp.) Satellite dish system, Long heavy duty electrical cord included, 20 inch TV installed in cupboard above driver's/passenger's seats, driver's seat and passenger's bucket seats like new. propane two burner stove with grill and small oven, wall mounted propane heater, quick recovery hot water heater, 30 gallon fresh water tank, large holding tank with fittings and hose for emptying tank (storage for hose on side of motor home) 10 cubic ft. refrigerator with freezer, private bathroom with sink and flush commode and lots of storage, private bedroom with queen size bed, with lots of storage, livingroom storage benches convert to full size bed (includes full size easy inflate air mattress), large microwave oven, lots of counter space and deep cupboards and drawers, kitchen table leaf extends table to seat four people comfortably (includes four folding chairs in excellent condition), privacy roll down thermal backed shades for front of motor home, motor home shades on other windows, Large easy set-up attachable awning..... Ok so there is the add. i went to look at it and it does look like it is in really great shape, and truly if i didnt see the outside i would never know that I wasnt in an expensive motor home...the inside was very well done. Apparently it was a campaign bus for one of the state senators at some point and time...anyhow they are asking 8000 and it had just come down from 10k a few weeks ago. The gentleman has lost a leg and is elderly I think is just looking to get rid of it and not really make anything on it...Is this a fair priced or am I out of whack? really im not sure if it has separate tanks for black and gray water but everything else seems to be done properly so im guessing yes, thats a question i need to ask. I cant imagine it would be all that much more to have an additional tank put in. All he showed me with the sewer was how it hooked up I just looked at a diagram on the plumbing. Only has one dump valve so definately no grey water tank. However there is no shower, so maybe the impact isnt all that great.
Anyone have insulation and cooling solutions for a gazebo-turned-bedroom room with loft? Looking for someone who might have a little more expertise than I do on this subject. I'm looking to rent a house with some roommates. It has a large gazebo in the back, separate from the house, which is sealed and enclosed. It's basically all windows. There is electricity to the gazebo, but it isn't insulated. The roof is metal (Except for one triangular side, which is a large plexiglass window) and the flooring is tile, the kind you'd find in a nice kitchen or bathroom. It's the size of a decent-sized bedroom, but it's much taller. (I'd guess it's 12 or more feet from front to back in any direction and 15 feet to the point of the roof.) I haven't counted the sides, but it's probably octagonal or so. It has a very sturdy loft that starts where the roof starts, (Maybe 7 or 8 feet up) which is plenty large enough to put a full-sized mattress there. The loft takes up exactly half of the width of the room -- (half of the octagon shape). Of course, the roof tapers to the middle, so you can't stand toward the wall/roof edges of the loft, but it would be a great place to sleep. The problem is that it isn't insulated at all and I live in central Florida. The windows look and feel like house windows. They're pretty thick and they feel sturdy, but they're single-paned. Beneath the windows, there is just plexiglass. It's sealed very well all around the plexiglass, but there are a few cracks in the plexiglass itself. Obviously, at the very least, these portions will have to be replaced and re-sealed. I'm also thinking of replacing that part with nicer wood and trying to insulate the area some. The roof isn't insulated, either -- it's just the bare metal overhead. I'll definitely need some kind of window AC unit or standalone portable AC unit. (Never had anything but central heat & air, so I'm not sure of the advantages and disadvantages) but I'm wondering how well that would be able to cool a room like that and how much insulation would be necessary. I'm also worried that it will skyrocket the electricity bill. Would a unit like that efficiently keep moisture out of the room and keep it cool? How much insulation will be necessary for that, if any? I'm a little worried that the large amount of glass in the room might create a bit of a greenhouse effect, although I definitely plan to put blinds or curtains on every window/wall. (Including the roof window. In fact, I may even try to find another metal section for the roof, in order to close off the roof window.) Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a real place to put an AC unit that would blow air directly on the loft, so I'm worried about how hot it might get up there (I can tell right now with no insulation or AC that during the day, the loft is 5-10 degrees hotter than it is 7 or 8 feet below it.) It seems logical to me that I'd want to put the AC unit on the side of the room that DOESN'T have the loft overhead, so that it doesn't get completely trapped underneath the loft. There's a fan attached to the bottom of the loft, which circulates the air for the bottom part of the gazebo, but I don't think it would bring any air up into the loft itself. Due to the way the roof tapers up, I don't think I can hang a traditional fan from the middle of it unless the fan blades are very short, but I was thinking about mounting a small oscillating fan on a roof beam somewhere. Would that effectively move cooler air from the ground to the top of the loft? Or would it be better to put something below that's pointed up? Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, do you think insulating the roof and/or portions below the window would have much of an effect with a room that is essentially all windows? I have zero experience with this, but I'm hopeful that it can work. I've never seen someone turn a gazebo into a habitable room, but this one seems like it's pretty close already, and I like the way it's set up. I think it would be pretty cool if I can figure it out. Feel free to burst my bubble if you don't think it's feasible, but either way, I'd like some input on any of these issues. Thanks for the feedback. The landlord is definitely fine with it. In fact, the previous tenants did the same thing, apparently. And the house is a bit of a fixer-upper already, so we're planning to do some work in exchange for a deal on the rent. As for code enforcement, I'm not sure how that all works. I think it probably wouldn't qualify as a habitable space because it's so close to the river without being raised up or anything. That's the main problem I think I'd run into if I tried to get the place up to code. I figure if the previous tenants had someone living back there, though, the neighbors must not care, and I don't really think many other people would even know someone was living back there. I'd put some blinds or something all around it so no one could see that I had furniture and stuff in there. There are police boats that cruise up and down the river occasionally, but I don't think they're looking for code enforcement kind of stuff.

I love the wall hanging on the dowel. I don't think I want to go with curtains since I won't have anything else decorating the room. It is still pink girlie stuff. She as posters though so the wall hanging would be great. Thanks.

Sofa-bed/Futon - Double Mattress? I'm looking to get a new bed that I plan to sleep on for at least...the next four years. I have a relatively small bedroom, and I would also like to add some seating space. I was looking at a futon/sofa-bed so I could kill two birds with one stone. My problem is is that on the past futons I've been on, they have been much squishier than a regular mattress and they don't seem like they would be good on my back if I slept on them continuously. Are there any Futons/sofa Beds with two mattresses? For example, when it is in the couch set up, you would sit on one mattress and the other one would support your back, while on the bed set up, the two mattresses would lay together creating one queen or full size mattress. I need to find one like that because that would solve my mattress-firmness problem. Buying a couch and a bed is not an option. Thanks!

whats the legal size limit for boxroom to be then classed as a bedroom? we have a three bed roomed semi and we are the end of a tearraced row, these houses were built by the same person that still owns my next door but one neighbours, who is been charged for a two b/room house with astorage-roomeroom. My landlord is charging and saying its a 3 bed-room house while including this box storage room. This room has the boiler for the house in here and is unable whichever way i try to fit a standard single bed in never mind alsword roberobe. How do i go about proving to my landlord that he cant class it as a bedroom or can he?? If i say anything to him about it i want the legal relevant paperwork to prove this dispute, As this would mean his overly charged 3 bed rent amount would have to be lowered, How can i make the rentadjustedsted without bad feeling setting in between me and the landlord???? Im paying £550 and feel im been a bit robbed as this means i would have to move when my children need full sized beds as there boy and girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Helping children in US!? I'm over in Italy adopting my 5th baby girl. I'm looking at the condition of these poor children, and wish I could adopt another! Anyway, I'm realizing now that we have child in United State like this too! I really wish I could be a foster parent for these children. We have a 7 bedroom house, so we have an extra bedroom upstairs (the entire 2nd floor is just bedrooms and bathrooms). Then the 3rd floor has a giant internet cafe style area (the downstairs is a playroom), but it also has 3 rooms off of it that are a good size bedroom. What do you think of once the baby arrives and is a little older, having foster children. I mean, my husband and I could suport it with our jobs right now (I work full-time, but I mainly work from home). Actually, we have a "charity" bank account set up to help us with whatever chairties we look to do in the near future. Would they let a parent of 5 have foster children? What does the job of being a foster parent inculde? What do most states give you moey for (food, clothes, toys, etc)? I know that's my only draw bacl. I really know that I will get attached with children the minute I see them. Most likely, I will end up adopting all of them, but the more the merrier! I don't know why some people are so against having big families! Like I saif full-time, but mostly working from home and my husband has flexiable hours, so he can come home the days I need to work.

Why should i vote for Obama? ? Honestly-why? Let me describe my life. Im married-two kids-girls one is 10 and the other is almost 2. My wife and i both work. We are not rich-we are not poor. I guess you could call us middle class or maybe even upper middle class. We live in a suburb near Dayton, Ohio. Housing here can still be found relatively cheap. What we pay monthly for our full sized house is what rent costs for a one bedroom apartment in a big city. In other words, we bought our house with living by our means in mind. We bought a house that if one of us lost our job we could still afford it on one income. We have never had a problem making payments on the house or our cars. No major credit card debt, no problems with medical insurance as both of our jobs offer excellent medical plans. I am for the war in Iraq. I feel that regardless if we should have went in or not-well thats not the issue now. We are there and we must finish the job. I have had several relatives serve in Iraq and they feel the same. I am not coming here bragging about how good my life is, im just trying to show who i am and what i am about. I have been a life long democrat-as was my wife but we both just could not warm up to Obama. We had our minds set on Hillary but that didnt happen, now we both intend on voting for McCain. Can anyone tell me why i should vote for Obama? Can someone give me a good reason? Is there something that i could benefit from under a Obama presidency? I honestly am looking for a reason to win my vote.
please read this story i wrote. By a 6th grader? Hollywood Troubles “Hhhhh, Julia sighed. It’s just another day, another ordinary day” Julia Lintheart was staring out her window, looking at the warm summer day. There were blue skies, green grass, you’d think it be perfect. But no. She was in a dismal mood. “Why should I be the only one not having fun? She thought to herself. “It’s just not fair”. Julia sighed once again as she stroked her long brown hair that draped around her right shoulder with her soft, pale hands. Julia was mad because she was the only one who hadn’t done adventurous over the summer. Time was running out only 3 weeks before the 9th grade. She had to something that she could remember the 8th grade summer by and something everyone else would remember her, Julia, by. Julia went downstairs into the kitchen of her medium sized home. The kitchen was a light tan color, with oak wood cabinets. There was a stainless steel oven, dishwasher and microwave. Her mother was loading dishes into the dishwasher as she came downstairs. “Well, we have to go pick up your little sister Rose from her friend, Lavender’s house”, her mother replied holding a white plate. “Do I have to come? Why can’t I say home with Dad? Er, wait Dad’s never home”, Julia said in a quiet tone, “He’s always on some tour, I just keep forgetting. “ As a rookie film producer he is very busy, but he’s quite good at it. He seems to have a knack for it. “I know, but it’s been two whole months. Sometimes I just wish he could come home. “We all do, Jules”, he mother said wiping her hands on the white towel. Was this remark supposed to make her feel better? Because she didn’t feel any better. In fact she felt sadder. ”Anyway, Julia you have to come.” “Why can’t I stay home? I’m old enough”, Julia inquired. “I know Julia but you have to go shopping you need clothes for fall. In case you are wondering Julia had already bought clothes for the winter last week. Julia wanted to roll her blue eyes but kept herself from doing so. Instead she said “whats wrong with the clothes I have”, glancing down at her dark blue jeans and her ABERCROMBIE t-shirt. Almost instantaneously her obsessive-shopping mother answered. “Your jeans are ripped, they’re too old and--- Julia cut her mother off. “Old. What do you mean old! 3 weeks ago, that’s old”! “Julia you are going shopping and that’s final”, her mother replied in a stern voice. Julia groaned. “When are we going?” “Half an hour” she answered. Julia went back up the spiral stair case and into her bedroom. Her bedroom was a light blue color. There was a twin sized bedroom that was right in the middle of her room. She walked on the soft carpet of her bedroom. She layed on her tootsie roll pillow. A raindrop fell on her window. It started to sprinkle outside. The blue skies turned gray. Julia didn’t know what to do. “Jules come on 1et’s go”, her mother called putting on her black trench coat. Julia dragged her feet down the steps. She went to the entrance hall of her home. She put her tennis shoes on and grabbed the black umbrella. Julia and her mother walked out the front door , and hopped into the silver minivan. Her mother backed out of the drive way. “Julia?” Her mother asked. “Yeah”, she answered. Mrs. Lintheart took a deep breath. “I-I just got off the”, she faltered. How do I put this nicely”? Julia, I just got off the phone with dad. We’re moving”. ~CHAPTER 2~ A million questions raced through her mind. Where are we moving? When are leaving? Why are we going? What are my friends going to think? “I’m sorry”, Mrs. Lintheart said apologetically. Julia didn’t know why he mother was so sorry. She wasn’t so mad herself. “Should I be mad”? She asked her mother. “No. Not at all, I just didn’t know how you were going to react”, she answered turning around a curb. “Where are we going?” Julia asked rather excited. “Hollywood”, her mother replied. Julia’s eyes widened and her jaw dropped. “What did you say?” “Well”, Mrs. Lintheart started. Your father has a role opening, and he needs a girl about your age. If you get it were staying at least till the movie is over. If you don’t we’re going to keep your father company. At this point Julia stopped listening. She didn’t need to be told anything more. She knew where this conversation was going. “So does this mean I get to be a star”? She asked being her curious self. “Actually no. You have to complete the auditions first.” She said adjusting her rearview mirror. Julia was a bit disappointed but was determined. They pulled into a driveway. “Oh and Jules, it’s best not to tell Rose about this”. The rain fell harder by the second. Julia sighed once again, but this time a good sigh. A sigh that meant I’m ready. Ready to be a star. She could picture herself. A millionaire, being pampered, and having the best life ever. Julia opened the car door. She opened the umbrella. They walked up the long driveway and rang the doorbell. Ding-Dong. A tall looking mother opened the door. Julia gaped at the sight of the house. From the outside you’d think it was a normal house, but it wasn’t. The foyer was huge. It had a ceiling so high it seemed like it was endless. There was a bright chandelier that came down almost blinding to the naked eye. The walls had a light gold design. “Oh my”, the tall women said pointing to the window. “It looks terrible out there”. “I know some weather”, Julia’s mother agreed. “Mom, mom, mom”, came Lavendar, Rose’s best friend. “Can Rose stay a bit longer?” “Only if it’s O.K with Rose’s mother”, Lavendar’s mother said with a chuckle. Julia glanced up at her mothers and gave her one of her I-don’t-want-to-stay-at-a-6 year old-house looks. Mrs. Lintheart patted Julia on her shoulder and smiled. One of her only-for-tonight-smiles. Perfect, Julia thought. I am wasting my time at a 6 year olds house. As Lavendar and Rose chatted away Mrs. Anderson (Lavendar’s mom) offered Julia and her mother some tea or coffee. They both politely refused by saying “no thank you”. The 3 went into the living room. Julia had already adjusted to the Anderson’s immense house but that did not change the fact that it was huge. In the living room the walls were a deep reddish-maroon color. There was a 72 inch plasma screen that stood there ready to be used. “Why don’t you have a seat”, Mrs. Anderson told Julia. “oh wait, would you rather go to home theater?” Julia smiled. “Oh that won’t be necessary”, Julia’s mother answering for her. Julia reluctantly gave a slight nod of her head. “Mom, why would you say something like that? Of course, I would rather watch a movie than listen to adults talk, she thought to herself. Julia was mad at her mother. “Oh well, she while thinking of all her unanswered questions. At 6:30 pm Julia’s mother decided that it was time to go home. “Lavendar, Rose” Mrs. Anderson called from the bottom of the deep blue colored carpet. They came sprinting down the steps. “Mommy”, I don’t want Rose to leave, Lavendar whined. “I’m afraid they’ve got to”, Mrs. Anderson said. She opened the door. By this time it was raining very hard. BOOM, they heard thunder. They saw a flash it was lightening. “Whoa”, Rose said. “It doesn’t seem to safe out there, you’re welcome to stay with us for the night”, Mrs. Anderson offered. “OH thank you we don’t have much of a choice, really” Mrs. Lintheart said. Julia couldn’t believe her ears. Was this really happening? No. No way. Not if she could help it. Julia gave her mother another one of her “looks”. Her mother gave her one of her “smiles”. “Only for tonight”, she added just in case Julia couldn’t understand her smile. “Ughhhhhh”, Julia thought in her mind. All this time Julia was trying to focus on the positive. O.k. I said trying. Lavendar was talking to Rose about how they have so many rooms, so they could sleep. The five went to the living room and turned the 72 inch television on to the weather channel. “We are looking at severe thunderstorms throughout the Chicago area”, the reporter announced. Julia would rather walk home in the rain than stay. She went upstairs with the adults and overheard that Rose would be sleeping in Lavendar’s bedroom and Julia and her mother would be staying in one of the three guest bedrooms. Mrs. Anderson showed them there room. It was like all the other rooms. Big. As you have probably comprehended by now Julia must dread in despair through the night. Fine. O.K. Well, I guess it’s not that bad. Unfortunately it doesn’t matter ehat you and I think, it’s up to Julia. I just write it down. They went back down stairs. “Oh dear”, Mrs. Anderson said looking directly at Rose. You must be starving. Do you want to eat something? “No, I’m not hungry; Rose replied in her high pitched voice, I want to play with Lavendar. Lavendar followed by Rose then Julia, and then the adults into the playroom. The playroom had a mini ball pit, a play slide, and lots of books mainly fairy tales. Ii also had pink and white striped walls. The grown-ups laughed and smiled. Suddenly the lights went out. It was pitch black. ~CHAPTER 3~ Mrs. Anderson could find her path through the criss-crossing hallway, down the steps, and into the room that contained the flashlight. She pressed the on button and a yellow beam of color shot out. The silver flashlight illuminated everything in its way. Anita Anderson walked up the steps, back through the criss-crossing, and into the playroom. As she entered the playroom she noticed two little bodies curled up on the play mats. Their eyes were shut tight and you could hear snoring. Mrs. Lintheart whispered something into Mrs. Anderson’s ear. Instantaneously, Anita walked out of the room and then came back in. Her arms were full of multi-colored sleeping bags. Julia was furious at once but kept her anger to herself. She wanted to atleast sleep on the bed. Julia’s mother helped unroll each of the five different color sleeping bags. Julia slipped into her red one , taking off her sweatshirt and placing it beside her. Julia had to admit she was a bit tired, although it was only 15 past eight. She closed her eyes, adjusted her pillow, and fell off into a deep sleep. She dreamt of pleasant dreams. “Hollywood”, she quietly murmured in her sleep. She was picturing herself getting the part, becoming a millionaire…you get the rest. The rest of her dreams were put to an end by the voice of her mother. “Juls”, she said quietly standing next to Julia. Time to get up” Julia rubbed her eyes, and stretched her legs as she sat up straight in her “bag”. She walked out yawning. She rolled it up into a neat ball. Julia realized that there were four empty sleeping bags beside her. She picked up her sleeping bag and followed her mother downstairs. She was to drowsy to speak. Lavendar and Rose were making a loud din chasing each other around the kitchen. Julia could smell the aroma of fresh blueberry pancakes being made. Julia loved pancakes. She sat down at the large maple wood table as two pancakes were placed in front of her. She was starving so she devoured them, but in a neat way. * * * * * * * * * ~Later that evening~ Julia had gotten back to her home. Julia was wondering what the auditions were going to be like and what she had to do to get the part. “Briing, briiiing”, the phone rang. She ran into the master bedroom and picked up the black phone. “Hello”, Julia called into the phone. “Juls, is that you?”, her dad asked “Yeah it’s me”, she said puzzled. “Who are you”? “Your daddy”, her dad replied. Julia gasped at these words. She couldn’t even recognize he fathers voice. He was touring Spain for ideas. “ Hi”. “ Honey, your just the person I wanted to talk to. I bet your mother has already told you about”, he paused. “Hollywood”, Julia finished for him squirming with joy. Her dad took a deep breath. “Um er about that, we need a girl for the part”, he started talking faster as he went along. Youre perfect for the part. I asked the producer and he said maybe. He aslso said that me being the director can’t do with anything with you getting the part. Anyway, you still have to audition a couple of lines. There aren’t many people competing for it. 16 including you to be exact. But you don’t have to move to Hollywood, you don’t even have to try out for the part if you don’t want to. “Dad, Julia started. I want to do everything you just mentioned. I want to move, get the part and become rich.“Just one question. What’s it about?” “Ah”, can’t tell you. “Huh”?, Julia asked baffled. “Show biz policy. You have exactly 24 hours to rehearse for the auditions. Julia gawked. “ So you are saying that I have 1 day practice”? “That’s right”, he answered casually. Then everything got quiet. A mysterious quiet. A chilling quiet. “Julia”, he whispered. Then he hung up. ~CHAPTER 4~ Julia pressed the round black button to off the phone. “What was that all about”? she wondered. She had so much to get ready for. Could she do it? Julia had no idea what the movie was about. Julia walked into the family room. It had two beige colored couches and a T.Vimon. She found Rose watching Bob the Builder. IT had just started so the theme song was playing. “Bob the Builder. Can he fix it? The T.V yelled. “Bob the builder. Yes he can!! Rose chimed in. “Rose, can I please watch now”? Julia asked as she turned her head away from the obnoxious show. “Nope”, Rose replied with her eyes still glue to the television. Julia didn’t bother arguing with her younger sister. So, she went upstairs to her bedroom and got out her pink cell phone. She called her two best friends Ally, and Nicole cell. Ally is a long haired blonde who loved nothing more than a good old adventure. Julia and Ally were alike because they both liked an adventure, but Ally was far more daring. I guess you could call her a risk taker. “Hey ally”, Julia called into the phone “ It’s Julia”. “Oh hey” Ally said. “Over the last few days I heard really big news. You know how my dad’s a film director and all”, Julia asked. “Yeah”, Ally replied wondering why her best friend was telling her something she already knew. “They have a part open, and I’m auditioning”, Julia squeaked. The two of them screamed with excitement. “When are you going”? Ally asked unable control her curiosity. “3 weeks, I could try to invite you. If you’d like”, she added. There was a slight pause in which Ally was thinking. Thinking about the “movie”. Was this really going to happen? “3 weeks”, she repeated. You do know what’s happening in 3 weeks, right? Julia was stunned. Here she was telling Ally the best news of her life so far but all she could about was school! “School, so”, Julia asked. “I can’t skip school”, Ally said rather mean. “I’m sorry, I am not trying to brag or anything”, Julia said. “I know”, Ally said back in her soft voice. “Bye”, Julia said. “Bye”, Ally said. Julia lied against her tootsie roll pillow. She looked out of her window. There was little light still shinning through them. Julia called Nicole. Nicole was the least adventurous. Unlike Julia and Ally, Nicole preferred to be “out of danger”. She liked adventures but if there was a slim chance of her getting in trouble she was out. Somehow she had always been dragged along. She was ind of short compared to the others, and had short brown hair. They continued their conversation for a while. This time it had gone much smoother. ~CHAPTER 5~ Days turned into weeks of boredom. One week until the big move. Ally invited Nicole and Julia over to her house. They greeted each other at the crisp white door. They went to Ally’s room. IT was messy. Clothes were on the ground along with her CD’s of her favorite bands: Daughtry and Maroon 5. There were school books scattered here and there. IN conclusion it was messy. Ally cleared a spot on the colorful bed and motioned for the two of them to sit down. “So Juls” Nicole started. “When’s the audition”? “One week”, Julia said. Nicole and Ally looked at each other and nodded their heads. “What”? Julia asked. “ We are going to get you ready for the movie in case you get the part”, Ally said. “We are? Nicole asked. What about the other thing”? “What other thing”, Julia said with a confused look on her face. “ We can do that later”, Ally suggested ignoring Julia’s question. Ally is more of a tomboy as you probably have figured out by now. After you read what’s next you will be surprised. “Wear these”, Ally told holding out a pair of silver sparkly high heels. “Why do I need these”, Julia said scared. Not a scared-scared but a scared-to-wear-high-heels-shoes-scared. “ Are you sure we won’t get in trouble, because I doubt those are your shoes, no offense Ally”, Nicole asked being her worried self. “Relax”, Ally said ignoring Julia’s question once again. Julia put the shoes on her feet. She started to wobble. She took two steps without falling and the third she fell to the ground with a thunk. “Ow”, Julia yelled. She had twisted her ankle. It wasn’t that bad but it still hurt. “Bad idea. Are you O.K? ” ally asked. “I knew something like this was going to happen. Are you O.K Juls? I am sooooooooo sorry. Nicole started to mumbled a few more words. “I’m fine”, Julia lied because it still hurt but her worrying friend went on. Ally apologized to Julia for making her wear the high heels although Julia knew that it was the clothes on the messy floor that made her trip not the shoes. * * * * * * * * One week had gone by like that. Back at the Lintheart’s Rose was throwing a fit after Mrs. Lintheheart explained where and why they were moving. “It’s not fair. It’s not fair at all. Why does she get everything she wants? It’s not fair”, Rose pouted stomping her tiny feet on the ground. “Now Rose be patient, her mother started, you’ll get turn. “I don’t want to be patient”, Rose said angrily. Julia came downstairs with her suitcase. They had packed earlier and were on there way. They piled into the silver minivan. When they arrived at the airport they waited. If you have a younger sibling and are going somewhere you probably know how it is. They create a scene, then a million pair of eyes look your way and well, you get humiliated. That’s exactly what Rose did. So I am not going to waste my time and your time describing the humiliation of Julia. They boarded the plane. The plane was quite small, but it had comfortable seats. The windows were shaped rectangles. Rose got the window seat, her mother was in the middle, and Julia got the aisle seat. As soon as Julia sat down she fell asleep. “Jules”, Mrs. Lintheart whispered. Julia’s eyes slightly opened then closed again. “Jules”, Mrs. Lintheart said a little louder. Nothing. “JULIA”, Rose screamed at the top of her lungs. Julia abruptly opened her eyes. She looked around the rest of the plane was empty. “We’re here, Mrs. Lintheart announced, in Hollywood”. ~CHAPTER 7~ They checked their luggage in. The people there were all very well-dressed. IT was mainly adults who were walking through the long lines. “Right outside this airport is Hollywood”, Julia whispered to Rose. “Just a few more minutes, Julia, Mrs. Lintheart explained. Then we will go by taxi to our hotel. “What’s our hotel like”? Rose asked her mother. Well, it’s called Hollywood Orchid Suites. It’s not too fancy but it is expensive, her mother replied as the three of them walked towards the door. We have been given the deluxe suite. Julia wasn’t listening she kept walking with her eyes focused on the door. Julia swung it open. There was a giant hill with HOLLYWOOD printed on it in big white letters. All three of the faces smiled. There was also a busy road making not too hard to find a taxi cab. They hopped in the bright yellow cab. “Where to”? The cab driver asked in his deep-commercial-like voice. “The Hollywood Orchid Suite”, Rose said in her high pitched voice answering for her mother. He driver dropped them off and waved goodbye. Mrs. Lintheart led the way inside while Rose took her time skipping and twirling in her ridiculously pink blouse and her pink sparkly shirt to match. They walked into the lobby. “ Who might you be”, the guy behind the counter asked Rose. “My name is Rose Lintheart”, Rose answered. “Lintheart eh”, the guy behind the counter said as he started to type something in the computer. “Ah yes, you will be staying in suite #339. Enjoy your stay”, he added as they started to walk away. Julia twisted the knob of suite #339. It wouldn’t budge. “You have to use the key card silly”, Rose said twirling. Julia didn’t remember Rose getting the key card from the guy behind the counter. Anyway, Julia slid the card inside and waited for the small green light to come up. She opened the door and walked inside. The room was cool. Two king sized beds, two T.V’s and a bathroom. On one of the beds they found a note. Julia read it aloud. Dear Julia Lintheart, We would like to inform you that your audition will take place tomorrow at Hollywood Studios. Be there no later than 12:00 pm. Your lines are attached to this note. Good Luck. “What else does it say?” Mrs. Lintheart asked. Your Lines You: Mom I’m bored. (say in a whiny voice) Mom: We have to go pick up your sister then go to the mall. You: Again? I hate going there. Mom: We need clothes for fall. You: Don’t I need clothes for winter first? Mom: We got those last week. Julia practiced with her mother. She stumble on every other word. “What was that”, Rose said being mean. Julia shot her a nasty look. “I’m just saying, Rose continued, that you acted better at Lavendar’s house”. “What are you talking about”? Julia asked, as if Rose was crazy. “You acted as if you hated going to Lavendar’s house when you enjoyed it. You pretended to be mad but you had nothing better to do. Julia knew that she was partially correct. Fine, Julia knew she was a hundred percent correct, but she still acted like Rose was crazy. “Why don’t you try again, Julia”, Mrs. Lintheart said trying to break the tension between the two sisters. Julia tried again and got it almost perfect. “What’s this”, Rose said pointing to the piece of paper with the lines on it. Julia took the piece of paper out of Rose’s hands. She looked at it carefully, there was another verse of lines. Do I have to recite these lines too, she thought to herself. The lines were sad. They were about girl who finds her long lost mother. “Let’s practice these too”, Julia told her mother. They practiced. There was crying scene that Julia just couldn’t get right. “Try thinking of something sad”, Rose said. Julia took this advice. She thought and thought but couldn’t find anything sad. Julia finally got something from her own life. Her dad. It seemed so long since Julia had seen him. Tears welled up in her eyes. “Mom, when will we see dad”? “If you get the part soon enough, if you don’t we could still visit him on set, but we’d have to notify him first”. Julia had a mission. The same mission as before (to get the part) but for a different reason. She longed to see her father. ~CHAPTER 8~ She slept through the night. She was ready, only half an hour till auditions. She was given an outfit to wear (provided by Hollywood Studios). It was a light blue baby doll top with black leggings. The lobby was big and grand. I do not know how to describe it other than the simple words big and grand. They went through the double doors and outside. They fetched a cab and rode on the busy streets of Hollywood. They pulled into the parking lot of Hollywood Studio. They walked inside and saw 15 other girls waiting to audition. Since she was the last audition, she saw some girls coming out crying, and others expressionless. It had black floors and there were three judges. There was also a person next to her that acted like the mom. The judges explained that she could choose either of the two verses to audition. Julia considered this thought very carefully. At the end she decided that she would choose the mall one because she practiced it more and she could relate to it better. Julia had butterflies in her stomach. She spoke clearly, and said the words with emotion. Julia felt a bit better. She thought that she had nailed the audition, but only time would tell if she got the part. She waited in the room along with the other girls. She was nervous. The main judge came out. He cleared his throat, “The winner who gets the part is Julia Lintheart.” Julia gasped. “Me”, Julia said scarcely believing what she just heard. Julia ran over her mother and gave her a hug. “Rose, thanks for your advice it really worked, and I knew you were right all along”, Julia told her sister. Julia felt like this was too good to be true. She had accomplished her mission, but still so many unanswered questions. Little did Julia realize that this was only the beginning.
What color paint would be good for a bedroom? i want to paint my room this weekend, but i dont know what color, i was thinking of lime green or a pretty red. green because its my favorite color, and red just cause i think its nice color. but the thing is, my room is REALLY REALLY small, and i have no windows. the only size bed i can fit in my room is a full, and my feet hang off the bed. : ( and i always have a small rack for books, little things, and a have a small vanity set. thats it in my room. my carpet is also grey. so what color do you think would be best? or maybe orange? thats looks nicee on the wall.
How to stop MIL interfering with our child's upbringing? My mother-in-law and I have always had a troubled relationship. It started off well until my husband proposed. Then she changed and its been nothing but trouble. Anyway, I thought having a baby might bring us a little closer together or at least she might get off our backs a little. It seemed to be fine. She bought a beautiful crib for our little boy that is convertible to a toddler bed and then a full size bed, so will likely last him until it literally falls apart from age. We love the crib and are very grateful for it. Our little boy is 5 months old and we have him sleeping in an Arms Reach co-sleeper right next to the bed and we are happy with that, and so is he. He is sleeping right through the night now (some 10 hours straight) with no crying. Our plan is to transition him gradually to his own room. We want to move the co-sleeper away from the bed like a regular bassinet, so hes used to being away from us in the room. Then change out the bassinet for the crib, then move the crib to the babys own room. We dont plan on doing this until he reaches the bassinet weight limit. We are an attachment parenting family and we are quite happy with this. Also, we are planning to move out of state soon and I really dont want to set up a gorgeous nursery here and have to leave it when we move. I want to do the great nursery when we move to the new place and my son can grow with it. He only sleeps in the bedrooms now anyway, we spend the whole rest of the day in the main shared living areas. My problem is that since the day we were given the crib (at 6 months pregnant) to today (at 5 and a half months old) we keep getting hassled about it. She keeps asking "When should we come around to help set up the crib, when is he moving to the crib, why hasnt he been put in the crib yet, why isnt he in his own room, dont you like the crib, dont you appreciate our gift, why did we get you something you obviously dont like cos you dont use it, why cant we set up the crib for you, lets set up the whole nursery for you!? Why dont we just put the baby in another room and shut the door and ignore him? Dont we need alone time? Cant she just come decorate the whole nursery?". We explain our intentions over and over again, we say thankyou over and over again, and we seem to rehash the whole thing over and over again. This is something that will be used until he is likely 12 yrs old so we dont see why there is a rush and also, it was a gift. Its pretty frustrating because it feels like we have to constantly toe her line and that she doesnt understand that gifts dont come with conditions. I feel like giving the crib back and going to buy one on our own that we can just use when we are ready. Does anyone else have to deal with MIL's like this? This is just the one thing too out of many many problems we have. What should I do? I would leave it to my husband to handle but his mother definitely has this hold on him that comes between us sometimes and I feel like its up to me now. I feel like if I dont step in now, then this will come up again and again with every aspect in our lives forever. Advice?
What furniture match's this? A few questions...Easy 10 points!!? So, I'm redoing my bedroom (I'm a 13 year old girl) to make it not so childish and more modern and sophisticated. I chose the bedding I want : http://www.pbteen.com/gift/thm/thmgrl/thmgrlspd/index.cfm and I need to know if the color of the room and the bedding match this furniture : http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30053921 I already have that little dresser, and I am going to buy the rest of the Malm collection if it matches. If not, please suggest another furniture set from Ikea that would. Links please! Also, in case this helps, my room is kinda small and rectangular with wood floors. There are two windows and a closet. I also have a full sized bed and a computer and television that need to be in there. Thanks!
What should I do with this contractor?? Here is the whole story, You will not believe it............................... My others house needed lots of repairs. The home was built 1900, its a two family home. Each floor has two bedrooms with closets and a third room without a closet possibly a sitting room or den, dinning room, T.V. room, and a small pantry and one bath. A attic and of course a cellar. The attic area was semi complete by my father with two additional rooms and a small hallway leading to a full bathroom, whichwas already complete and small kitchen area. There is a landing and a nice stairway leading to the attic from the second floor. It is weird but separate from the second floor apt. In May of '08 a family member cause the police to come to the house in which city inspectors were sent and seen the first floor did not have running water, do to the pipes bursting. The electrical wires were original there for out dated and very old. In short the city basically condemned the house. Here's where it gets good. It took 8 30yd dumpsters and 4 weeks to empty the house, one dumpster with nothing but appliances. I found 32 tv sets all different sizes. The rest was all GARBAGE bags and junk in the entire house. I had not lived there in 5 years. Her neighbor was the son of a contractor, He said he would be willing to do the repairs. I told them to give us a est. and we would consider them after speaking to other contractors. We had no money saved and none available. I informed them I would try to get a loan to fund the prodject. By June, he had talked my mother into cashing in her 401K. My mother also asked me to cash in one of the two 401k's I had. Sadly she gave them $40,000 est up front before any papers were signed. They proceeded to gut the kitchen and bathrooms to both floors. They were informed we wanted all the plumbing, and electrical wires replaced, "not a problem" they said. In July papers were drawn up and I told my mother not to sign until I read the agreement. While working the night shift the contractor had my trusting mother sign without reading the paperwork. Were screwed you say??? Keep reading. Around this time my girlfriend at the time was willing to move in to the home on completetion as long as the attic area was combined with the second. I thought it was a great idea, and it was. She's now gone I have alot to look forward to. Anyway, the contractor agreeded to do the work and in August rewrote the paperwork and again momma signed at his request without me seeing the agreement. Adding $12,000 to the cost for a total of $122,000. Included was a stipulation to make a $650 monthly payment for the work being done. Everyday I would go to now my future home before work to see the progress, and almost everyday I would be dissapointed. Around August the funding was not enough and I was unable to get a loan on my own. My mother was able to get a bank to give her a reversed morgage. The house was appraised in late August for $157,000 est. because some walls were now gutted and no work was done they considered it a high risk. The contractor was given a amount I am not sure of but I would beleive to be between 20-25 K. The bank informed him he would get installments for each floor he completed. He ran out of money again in October, Still on the first floor here people. So my mother asked her brother and he lended her $10,000. They finally finished the FIRST floor apt. in early December. The city Ok'd the work and she and I moved in. The bank released a check to the contractor for $58,000 in early January to continue the second and third floor. Heres a overview of what they should have done. pipe and wires you know, they were to supplie moms house with everything. What was placed was a fridge, used of course and the first of which was refused cause of a odor. A stove (used), kitchen cabinets (used), two forced hot water heaters for the first and second floors heating (oh yeah, used of course). The first floor was painted all one color, cream with white on the wood working. All the old trim on the doors and windows for the kitchen and bathroom were thrown away. They were told to save and use them. The first floor pantry was removed (one wall knocked down) to expand the kitchen. All the lighting was purchased by my mother including four fans. Two in kitchen, one bedroom and one in the diningroom. Bathroom cabinet still has no doors and the bathroom vent is not vented outside but into the rafters between the first and second floor. So we just wont see the mold and wood rot grow right!!! The plaster that was put on a few walls repairing holes was not sanded and just painted over. The trim around the electrical sockets is the same not smooth but very rough. All good so far right??? Now for my part of the house. I was not being supplied anything, there work only included sheetrock plaster and paint. I had to supplie all appliances, cabinets and lighting and bathroom fixtures. Also I

Simply Complicated; (Working Title, this is the story I posted before for any one who wants to read more!!!) Chapter one: Prologue: There's always jumping off the balcony. Gennet rummaged around her enchanting suite, there had to be some things appropriate for a princess on sea voyage. It was more difficult when she was awaiting her execution; she imagined the blade releasing her head from it’s binding with her body. Alas, this was just a pleasant day dream to what really awaited her, marriage. Marriage, the vile and cruel punishment her father was inflicting on her for being born a female. Unlike her eldest brother Nathaniel, who she envied, for he had the right to choose, to wear pants, and loose shirts, what a girl she was. Awaiting the “fairy tale” ending every young woman dreamt of. And she was considering hurling herself of the balcony. Waiting for Roman, the man who she would soon “share” the rest of her life with, more like be owned by him for all of eternity. With a smug smile, Gennet only packed one gown, the rest were stolen clothing articles from her brothers. She would act against this marriage, and perhaps be left alone in the process. Then, since she was not an appropriate bride she would be left on a dessert island, with only essential tools where she could be alone, with her pride for the rest of her peaceful life, sure. “Princess! Princess! Oh your highness, why the heavens are you still in here? The ship will be leaving in under an hour; you must go eat hurry along” Her trusty lady Quinn, how she was always by her side leading her. Promising companionship even through marriage, she was the woman any man would be grateful for, but she had her. She had her Quinn, forever and always, she’d rather marry her then Roman. “Oh! Yeah, I think I should go.” She replied, noting Quinn’s disapproving eyes on her unclosed suitcase. “Packing – light are we malady?” Quinn said with a sarcastic smile. “Don’t you dare tell on me” her eyes shot at Quinn, and with loyalty in her eyes, Quinn smiled. The ship was grand and charming fit for a royal family. And then --- there was Roman, who was telling the captain how he should navigate the ship. Why did this man think so highly of himself? Yes, he had Jet black hair, dark gray eyes that were cold and beautiful, a very many chest, and figure. The problem was this man had absolutely no qualities. Any qualities would be nice, maybe a hunter, or painter? But he resolved all problems with – servants. He lived to be served, and in all his “glory” assumed the people who served him lived to serve. Most fiancée’s are angry when they hear the help complaining of their Fiancé. Gennet laughed, and then joined in. Such a proper lady, of course, she was always on her very best behavior. Gennet chuckled. Aware of the night’s events that lay ahead of her she was sprawled out across her cabin bed, the last time she would be alone at night. She shivered and would sleep with peace. Grimacing at the thought of Roman caressing her for his own benefits, why was life punishing her so badly. She hated gowns more than anything, more than – Roman. Although she new better then to show up in anything but tonight, this was an important dinner, and she would be appropriate, for tonight. As she walked in late, into the beautiful dining room, with a room full of people who were to be the wedding guests, she took her seat next to Roman. It was so weird, she didn’t notice until now; he looked at her with big eyes the way some one that is in love looks, his eyes were widened, and he smiled at her. When she sat next to him he took her into his arms and gave her an embracing kiss. Gennet couldn’t see the rest of her life without him but she also could not spend the rest of her life with him. This was far too painful; she did not want the married life. Why was every one trying to fool her? After the terrible last supper was over she returned to her room and painfully sat on her bed. The cabin walls seemed to be caving in on her, just one night from now she would be in a beautiful beach palace, surrendering to a man that she never wished to see again. Sadly this man was her Fiancé. Roman, oh god Roman why did he have that hair? That body! No her life was not a romance novel it was a tragedy. Why did she have to keep reminding herself? She would marry him; of course it was her duty. Although who ever proclaimed that a wife must love and fulfill their husbands needs. Gennet was going to dedicate the rest of her life to torturing her loving husband, Roman. After falling asleep thinking she was so pleased to have awoken in a bed. She assumed that the boat had landed in the night, and some one had carried her in. She smiled. In a few hours she could start her torture on the unsuspecting Roman. Within minutes people were giving her food, and starting to torture her poor body. She wanted nothing more than to throw on her brothers clothing and be the groom instead. How lucky he had it, throw on a tux and his naturally perfect hair would compliment. What a jerk. Twenty more minutes until fun time! She wondered if maybe quite possibly she was one of the most insane people who had ever been a princess. Probably, but who cares. They weren’t the ones who had to be married to a woman who would rather dress like him then spend two seconds in his bed. She wondered how he would take the news that she was going to be sleeping in one of the extra bedrooms in the palace. Tonight she would humor him and return to his bedroom, then she would quietly tuck away on her own side of the honey moon bed. Honey was supposed to mean sweet. Sweet revenge, no man was going to almost seduce her and get away with it. They simply would have to pay, regardless if they were getting married or not. And then the moment had arrived, she found herself in a white lacey gown, with a veil. Tropical flowers positioned around the beach. She walked down the isle to the man she awaited to torture. Then she saw them, the eyes she thought were to be cold, today they were not so gray, actually they were deep emerald sparkly green. He was watching her with the most beautiful grin. Why! Why was he so terrible? Such a good actor, she half expected him to run away and join a theatre program. The part where she actually said “I do” made her cringe. She remembered it vaguely. Her father used to say it was best women not think. No wonder, she pretty much passed by the whole wedding, supper and evening without knowledge of what was going on. She was lying on the bed, staring at the eyes who expected her to sleep with them. She also saw the disappointment as she drifted off into the most bliss slumber of her life, probably existence. Chapter Two: She never broke a promise, not even to herself. Roman awoke to stare into the eyes of his young bride. Yes, they had been married for two years, and he had not even had the chance to sleep with her. She only recently started sleeping in the same bed as him. She refused to dress in fancy gowns and would only wear small dresses, although he could not complain he didn’t know why she treated him this way. Perhaps she was still hostile over an arranged marriage, but why so much? He loved her more than he could ever imagine, he saw her beautiful eyes ever day of the week and never second guessed himself. He didn’t mind that she wore what she wanted it; it turned him on that she had such an expressive self-opinion. The world could use more women like Gennet, she made him feel like the luckiest man of all time, because he could be himself around her. Roman loved her to the point in which he could not see what he was doing wrong. Did the love of his life honestly believe he saw her as eye candy? She had tried to make certain that she wasn’t eye candy that was for sure. Roman was in love with the woman that it seemed he could never have, his wife. Perhaps it should hurt his ego that she was doing this to him, but he was so very blinded by love. What did he know about love the first woman that he ever loved was laying in his bed, ring on her finger, and wouldn’t even let him touch her. Gennet was the most beautiful seductive, and evil creature he had ever set his eyes on. Roman was going to be a king in many years, and was also a business man, although he was a prince he was also in charge of many affairs that his country was to face. He got to spend many hours a day away from his wife. Many men saw this as a challenge. He however was glad to get away, away from the woman that seemed to have made a bet with herself to make his life miserable. Soon he and Gennet would be moving to New York City, in the beautiful Upper East Side. The house was not going to be too big, just one of the most elite in New York. He could afford just that, and maybe he would be able to soften his bride up when he got her out of the country. Every time Roman had even touched Gennet during their marriage she had threatened on many accounts to hurl herself directly off the balcony into the ocean below. Torment seemed to be her favorite subject, and indeed she loved to torture him. Roman’s eyes were glistening as his thoughts were filled with his beautiful wife. He got out of his bed and started to pack his wives clothing, all old fashioned. Then he decided to throw them out altogether, she would thank him later. Perhaps not when she had nothing to wear but she’d probably steal some of his clothing. Roman called his assistant in New York City, Elisa. “Hello Sir” she responded almost immediately, although it was still very late in the night, with the time difference. “Yes, Elisa, Size zero clothing for my wife, dresses, not grand, but wearable in public, Jeans, Shirts all designer of course. Whatever is in fashion these days in New York of course. Here, the women all wear gowns.” Elisa immediately responded. “Personal credit?” she asked. “Oh, yes of course I would also like if you bought many different types of shoes, and makeup also stalk the house with two of every technology, laptops etcetera. For my wives you may use your own sense of taste.” Roman then hung up knowing that Elisa would get on it as soon as he could. New York City, Gennet was going to flip out. They were only supposed to leave in a month and he had decided to move the date up to attend a conference. Roman was not a cruel man, and his wife was not exactly ugly. Surely they could adapt to New York culture. Although – the part which confused him was how New York didn’t actually have a culture. * * * Roman was one of the most annoying distractions that Gennet had ever experienced. One of the most annoying parts of her life, because she refused to be with him, regardless of marriage. The biggest problem in the matter was she was simply complicatedly in love with him. Gennet knew she never wanted to be a larger part of Roman’s life. The easiest part of loving him was the fact that he loved her also, which made it fun to watch him suffer. Was she such a cruel person? Of course she was. She had made a promise to herself, and she would not break it. Regardless of the two years which had passed and the up coming anniversary, thank god she would be safely out of the country, and placed in a civilized environment. New York City, she had called one of the most feared places by her old fashioned country, civilized. Well, perhaps they used the energy, and had electronics. Perhaps. Of course Gennet had frequently watched television on her laptop she had smuggled in. It was very slow internet, and a crappy model. She couldn’t wait for the escape.
Why are we teaching our children to be dependent and weak? Banning Legos And building a world where “all structures will be standard sizes.” By John J. Miller Perhaps you’ve heard about the schools that have banned tag. Or dodgeball. Or stories about pigs. If so, you won’t be surprised to hear that the Hilltop Children’s Center in Seattle has banned Legos. A pair of teachers at the center, which provides afterschool activities for elementary-school kids, recently described their policy in a Rethinking Schools cover story called “Why We Banned Legos.” (See the magazine’s cover here.) It has something to do with “social justice learning.” My vision of social justice for children of elementary-school age is as follows: If you’re tagged, you’re it; if the ball hits you, you’re out; and pig stories are fun, especially when told over microwaveable hot dogs. But I try to keep an open mind, so I read the article on why Hilltop banned Legos. As most aficionados know, Legos are made by a Danish company. The company name comes from the Danish phrase leg godt, which means play well. “Lego became a national treasure and one of the strongest brands in the toy industry,” wrote The Economist last year. “Its colorful bricks are sold in over 130 countries: everyone on earth has, on average, 52 of them.” In their Rethinking Schools article, teachers Ann Pelo and Kendra Pelojoaquin describe how the kids at Hilltop built “a massive series of Lego structures we named Legotown.” I sensed that something was rotten in the state of Legotown when I read this description of it: “a collection of homes, shops, public facilities, and community meeting places.” My children have spent a large portion of their young lives playing with Legos. They have never, to my knowledge, constructed “community meeting places.” Instead, they make monster trucks, space ships, and war machines. These little creations are usually loaded with ion guns, nuclear missiles, bunker-busting bombs, force-field projectors, and death-ray cannons. Alien empires have risen and fallen in epic conflicts waged in the upstairs bedrooms of my home. Perhaps kids in Seattle, under the careful watch of their latte-sipping guardians, are different. But I don’t think so. At Hilltop, however, the teachers strive to make them different. “We recognized that children are political beings, actively shaping their social and political understandings of ownership and economic equity,” write Pelo and Pelojoaquin. “We agreed that we want to take part in shaping the children’s understandings from a perspective of social justice. So we decided to take the Legos out of the classroom.” The root cause of Hilltop’s Lego problem was that, well, the kids were being kids: There were disputes over “cool pieces,” instances of bigger kids bossing around little ones, and so on. An ordinary person might recognize this as child’s play. But the social theorists at Hilltop saw something else: “The children were building their assumptions about ownership and the social power it conveys — assumptions that mirrored those of a class-based, capitalist society — a society that we teachers believe to be unjust and oppressive.” Pelo and Pelojoaquin continue: “As we watched the children build, we became increasingly concerned.” So they banned the Legos and began their program of re-education. “Our intention was to promote a contrasting set of values: collectivity, collaboration, resource-sharing, and full democratic participation,” they write. Instead of practicing phonics or memorizing multiplication tables, the children played a special game: “In the game, the children could experience what they’d not been able to acknowledge in Legotown: When people are shut out of participation in the power structure, they are disenfranchised — and angry, discouraged, and hurt. ... The rules of the game — which mirrored the rules of our capitalist meritocracy — were a setup for winning and losing. ... Our analysis of the game, as teachers, guided our planning for the rest of the investigation into the issues of power, privilege, and authority that spanned the rest of the year.” After “months of social justice exploration,” the teachers finally agreed it was time to return the Legos to the classroom. That’s because the children at last had bought into the concept that “collectivity is a good thing.” And in Hilltop’s new Lego regime, there would be three immutable laws: All structures are public structures. Everyone can use all the Lego structures. But only the builder or people who have her or his permission are allowed to change a structure. Lego people can be saved only by a “team” of kids, not by individuals. All structures will be standard sizes. You can almost feel the liberating spirit of that last rule. All structures will be standard sizes? At Hilltop Children’s Center, all imaginations will be a standard size as well: small.
Am I being unreasonable-future in law issue? My fiancee, my fiancee's brother, and I are moving into a house together on Friday. My fiancee isn't actually moving in full time until Dec b/c that's when his current lease ends, we didn't plan to move so soon, but this house came up and was an awesome opportunity so we took it. Anyways, it is two bedrooms, the one room is a little larger, so I naturally told his brother last night that we will be taking the larger room, b/c there is two of us, and I have more bedroom furniture, all he has is a king sized bed, I have a complete set. He wants to act like a jerk about it all of a sudden and says he want the bigger room, b/c my fiancee isn't even moving in for another month and a half, even though he will be staying there 90% of the time. He actually had the nerve to tell me that my fiancee and I were selfish and that I was a spoiled brat and that he was taking the bigger room whether we want him to or not. Ever since we all decided to get this place his brother has been acting weird to me, and we're supposed to be friends, he acts almost jealous of his brother's relationship with me. For example the two of them golf together, and often times I just tag along at my fiancee's request, well last weekend it was just my fiancee and I and we didn't take his brother. I got home and his brother called, b/c my fiancee wasn't answering his phone, and asked where we had been all day, and why we didn't call him?! I am writing a Descriptive Essay and would like some input and corrections before I turn this essay in ? My Bedroom Do you ever wonder why certain places mean so much to certain people? When I think of my bedroom, I realize why some people are touchy about who goes in their rooms or who has been touching things in their home, it is because those things are important to them and may have some meaning. Places like my bedroom are places where we can relax and be comfortable and I think that is why it is important to people, because we can be ourselves and feel comfortable,we can also just sit down and rest our bones and relax. Another important reason is we can go there when we want privacy,we can just shut our door, maybe even lock it, and tell everyone in our household not to bother us. Also our rooms hold most of our personal belongings and those things are important to us and we do not want anyone else to touch them or in some cases go near them. Bedrooms are a place where we can be comfortable and we can sit back and relax. When Whether we are tired or not, feeling the best or not, we can go to our room, shut our door, and lay down and relax. Maybe even turn on some music or read a book or magazine. My bed is where I like to retreat to when I want to relax. I have a queen size sleigh bed with six pillows and my favorite comforter. It is a horse comforter,I know it is childish but my mother made it for me. And of course, my teddy bear, that a friend gave me for Christmas, sits on my bed and keeps me company. A lot of times I just lay down and close my eyes and daydream about places I'd like to see or think about things that make me happy. One thing we should not do is think about things we need to get done or anything that makes us feel stressed because then we'll never feel relaxed. I usually try to stay away from these sort of thoughts and it usually works out well. The reason my bedroom is so important to me is because my room holds all of my personal belongings, which are very important to me. Also my room is a comfortable place to study or just to relax. I can also have privacy whenever I want it by resorting to my room, this may be hard for some people if they share a room. Whenever my mom is nagging at me or when I'm stressed out with school or work, I like to go into my room and just be myself. All my belongings in my room surround me and make me realize everything is going to be all right. It gives me a sense of security. The way my room is set up makes it kind of cluttered, but that is the way I like it and I don't care what anyone says. As you first come into my room, to the left is my dresser. My dresser is full of things like perfume, jewelry, hair ties, my television and just a bunch of junk, mostly things that come out of my pockets at the end of the day. The dresser itself is brown with nine drawers, sets of three side by side. Diagonally across from that is my computer desk which holds all of homework and my computer, the cabinet is white with wooden shelves. Next to my bed which is in the middle of the room is my side table which holds my alarm clock and pictures and just odds and ends. Everything is worth keeping. I believe that other people feel the same way about their rooms and homes, it gives people a sense of security in a way that you can control what goes in your room and who goes in your room. It sort of gives people power which may mean a lot to some people. My room holds almost all of my personal belongings, which I think almost everybody's rooms do. I am sort of protective of the things in my room because a lot of my belongings have sentimental value. My most treasured items are my trophys from when i used to show horses, which are placed neatly in my closet. I have about fifteen trophies and if anything would ever happen to those trophies I would be extremely upset and very furious. Nobody, except myself, is allowed to touch them, not even my mother. I'm sort of a pack rat so I keep everything from old clothes to my childhood stuffed animals which are all neatly sitting on my hope chest in my room. My hope chest is filled with things I will need in the future like towels, cooking utensils, blankets, old picture frames and other little things, these things mean a lot to me because a lot of these objects belonged to my late grandmother and I am honored to own them. I treasure all my belongings and do not like other people to move or to borrow without asking and I think that a lot of people feel the same way. When someone touches our things we get upset and I think in a way we are sort of honoring our possessions. What my point is that everybody has something or some place that is important to them and has meaning and a lot of times it is people's bedrooms and homes because it belongs to us and we cherish these places. Bedrooms are a place of comfort and in some cases a sense of security. It is a place of privacy when we need to be alone or just to sit down and take a load off. We can just be ourselves. So the next t
How can I tell my sister and her family to stay in the guest house instead? My sister and her family come visit us every holiday for about a week and a half. We have a small 2 bedroom house but we have a back guest house that was built 5 years ago that we set up for them (equipped with a full bathroom and clawfoot tub, beds, cable tv and a heater. After staying a couple times in the guest house they saw a spider about the size of a quarter and all decided that they would rather stay in our house and sleep in our living room instead which they have done for the past 2 times since. I love having them over and would be sad if they didn't come but my husband insists that the next time they come they sleep in the guest house. We told them we have had the entire placed sprayed for spiders and still they would rather stay in our living room. I overheard her say that they need to find a hotel this year since they are unwelcome at our house. Yikes! Are we in the wrong?
Christians: Do you need prayers against Spiritual Warfare? Daily Prayers of Protection Pray them in this order. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I command a hedge of protection to be around my home and property today and I ask that warrior angels would be placed to stand guard at any holes that might be in that hedge. *Holes in the hedge can be caused by yet to be dealt with sin, trauma or wounding in the lives of the people who dwell in the home. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I command any free, unbound, or wandering spirits to get out beyond that hedge of protection now. In the name of Jesus Christ, I ask that warrior angels be placed at the doorways and access points to my home and property today that would keep out any free, unbound or wandering spirits that would try to access my home and property today. I ask for warrior angels that would bind and separate from their functions any demons attached to any individuals entering my home and property today. * An access point could be cable TV, internet, telephone or other communication devices in the home, power hookup, water supply or heat source. Father God, I ask for a spiritual umbrella of protection over me and a spiritual hedge of protection around me. I place the full armour of God on me, and I ask that the light of the Lord Jesus shine through me this day. Note: I strongly recommend praying Ephesians 6 daily over yourself and meditating on the scripture often. Eph 6: 13-17 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. If you are plagued by nightmares, restless nights sleeping and a sense of uneasiness in your bedroom, pray this before going to bed each night. Father God, I ask that you would send warrior angels at the bedposts of my bed. (Alternatively, the corners of your bed if you don't have a bedpost) and I declare that YOU are the Lord of my nights. Praying for Children/spouse Daily pray: 1. Father God, I ask that you would send your angels to bind up any and all demons which have rights and grounds to my children and that you do that right now. 2. I command that all demons that have rights and grounds to my children be completely separated from all their functions, now. I command that any demons that have any business to do with my wife/children/husband today that you come through me first. (In other words, if the enemy has a bone to pick, go pick on someone his own size). 3. Father God, please place a barrier of protection around each one of my children right now and Lord Jesus, I ask that you would come today, at any time necessary, to deal with any and all spirit beings which might attempt to harass my children/spouse. 4. Pray Ephesians 6 over your children. Another Prayer for Daily Protection for Christians Dear Heavenly Father, I pray this prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind, rebuke and bring to no effect, all division, discord, disunity, strife, anger, wrath, murder, criticism, condemnation, pride, envy, jealousy, gossip, slander, evil speaking, complaining, lying, false teaching, false gifts, false manifestations, lying signs and wonders, poverty, fear of lack, fear spirits, murmuring spirits, hindering spirits, retaliatory spirits, deceiving spirits, religious spirits, occult spirits, witchcraft spirits (including Jezebel, Delilah and Apollyon) and spirits of antichrist I bind all curses that have been spoken against me. I bless those who curse me, and pray blessings on those who despiteful use me. I bind all spoken judgment made against me and judgments I have made against others I bind the power of negative words from others, and I bind and render useless all prayers not inspired by the Holy Spirit; whether psychic, soul force, witchcraft or counterfeit tongues that have been prayed against me. I am God's child. I resist the devil. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I put on the whole armor of God. I take authority over this day, in Jesus' name. Let it be prosperous for me, let me walk in your love, Lord. The Holy Spirit leads and guides me today, I discern between the righteous and the wicked. I take authority over Satan and all his demons, and those people who are influenced by them. I declare Satan is under my feet and remain there all day. I am the righteous of God in Christ Jesus. I am God's property. Satan you are bound from my family, my mind, my body, my home and my finances. I confess that I am healed and whole. I flourish, I am long lived, stable, durable, incorruptible, fruitful, virtuous, full of peace, patience and love. Whatsoever I set my hand to do shall prosper, for God supplies all my needs. I have all authority over Satan, all demons, and beasts of the field. God, I pray for the ministry that you have for me. Anoint me, God, for all you have called me to do for you. I call forth divine appointments, open doors of opportunity, God ordained encounters and ministry positions. I claim a hedge of protection around myself, spouse and children throughout this day and night. I ask you God, in the name of Jesus to dispatch angels to surround me, my spouse and my children today, and to put them throughout my house and around our cars, souls and bodies. I ask angels to protect my house from any intrusion and to protect me and my family from any harmful demonic or other physical or mental attacks. I ask this prayer in the name of Jesus AMEN.

HELP! :)
If you were looking to buy a home what would appeal to you more? I am remodeling a home and hope to sell it shortly after. I have a good size bathroom up stairs (along with two bedrooms) that I can’t decide what to do with. If I put in a corner jetted Jacuzzi tub I can’t do a shower in the same bathroom. I may be able to add a shower head to the Jacuzzi but I’m not counting on it as a shower. I can do the traditional tub shower but the way the room is plumed and set up by the previous owner (that lost the house to foreclosure and left everything half done) it was meant for this Jacuzzi. There is no main lever bathroom but I am considering adding one but would have trouble adding a shower there too as its only large enough for a ½ bath. There is however a full bath with and just a shower stall and no tub in the unfinished but ok basement. Sorry for the load of info but if you were looking for a house what would you like to see. Thanks for any input in advance. Corner tub http://www.bbonline.com/mo/plainfancy/pix19.jpg tub shower combo http://www.idealtruevalue.com/catalog/MH712554.jpg granted the corner looks better but is it practical in this home ok so would you be ok with taking a shower in a Jacuzzi tub if it had the shower head on the wall that was removable and attached by a hose to the Jacuzzi faucet or something of that nature? Would this be awkward or the best of both worlds?
