decorating kids bedroom & bathroom? My boyfriend and I don't have his kids stay with us very often so when they do all 4 of them stay in the same bedroom. We haev two sets of bunk beds. The room isn't that big but I would like to set it up so that it is more appealing & more useful to the kids. (2 boys and 2 girls ages 5-10). The room is white. Bathroom attached is yellow and I have started a fish theme. Anyone got any advice as to how to make this work for the kids?

Help with decorating kids room!?!? I have a new stepdaughter, age 11, as well as my 2 daughters who are 8 and 11. I recently got married and along with these 3 girls, I also have a stepson. Problem? Ideas for kids bedroom and building shelves!!!!? We live in a beautiful home only the 2 extra bedrooms aren't very big. I need ideas on how to better store stuff so my sons room is more roomy and better organized. I plan on making a huge wall shelf that goes up high on the wall and painting it navy blue and getting red canvas containers and putting up there to hold some stuff and decorating it with the sports theme and a couple stuffed animals. The girls room is painted with a flower border about halfway down the room. It is in light green and pink. My daughters bed and toy box is The Little Mermaid. The boys room is painted like under the water; blue walls with fish painted on. His bed is a firetruck and his stuff is all Cars and red/blue. Any ideas would be great! I need some decorating tips for a kids bedroom.? We are moving into an apartment and my kids will be sharing a room. They are a four year old boy and a two year old girl. I need some decoration ideas for their bedroom that I can do in an apartment. I know I can't paint or nail too much stuff to the walls. Their bedroom is layed out like this; It's a 11'9" by 10'7" square. You walk into the room on the far right corner of the room. The closet is about one or two feet from the door and has the two doors that open with the knobs on them. I can't think of what they are called right now. The window is on the far wall opposite the door. The window is in the middle of the room. All I know right now is that they will have two twin beds, one of each side of the window. Other than that, I have no idea what to do in there. Please help me! Sorry for the length of this. We can't afford to pay a whole bunch for stuff either.

How to simply make over a office/lounge in a weekend- decorating ideas please!? Ok, time for a new look... The rooms in question are my bedroom and my lounge office area (same area). Mostly the office/lounge room needs some work... This is like a 2nd/3rd lounge room in the house (others arent mine) not a main one so simple with my own little touches (autographs paintings etc..) I get all inspired to make it better and then... I get stuck in the ideas process! There is a large jarrah workbench which is fixed to one wall, a big tv, few computers (only one in use) cupboards.. one lounge chair... I have heap of autographs which I should do something with.. the walls are blue, like kids room blue - YUK! I dont know if I can paint them though so maybe I should blend the room to dull the walls a bit till I can paint them. Is there any websites with layout ideas, and simply effective ideas for layouts of room etc.. I need some inspiration from somewhere.

What are some fun ideas for a planes, trains, and automobile themed boy's bedroom? I asked this in decorating, but no one responded! So I'm moving my question over here where it can be answered by the smartest, most creative people in the world: Parents. Not to mention aunts, uncles, babysitters, and everyone else who just loves kids! The bed will be a loft bed, so it will not be a race car bed. I plan on stacking a couple of tires and topping them with a round piece of glass for a little table. I'm also thinking of cutting a tire in half and using the halves as valances above the windows. We may even do a high shelf and run a model train along it. I may hang some airplanes from the ceiling too. I'd love your opinion on these ideas and any ideas you guys might have. What are some good cheap (and I mean cheap) decorating ideas? I am poor and would love to fix my one bedroom apartment up. I love shopping at thrift stores. There is no flea market where I live. Does anyone have any creative and inexpensive decorating ideas they could share? Like maybe how to easily make your own curtains, how to turn a bolt of thrift store cloth into a wall hanging, etc. I find lots of cool stuff at thrift stores, I'm just not sure how to implement it. I've looked through some so-called cheap decorating books but they're either impractical or their idea of cheap and mine differ. I have no kids. Thanks!

Decorating ideas? We are moving and don't want to repaint. The bedroom that my three year old will be taking is chocolate brown, a little on the dark side...amazingly she likes it! :) The other room, that my 18 mo. old will be taking, has two pink walls and two green walls, a little on the bright side. Obviously, the pink and green seems much easier to work with, but ideas are still welcome as I want both of their rooms to be nice for them. Oh, and both kids are girls.

Redecorating bedroom with a ballet, dancey theme?
