Unique bedroom design ideas? Hi, I'm 14 and I'm planning to redesign my bedroom. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with the bedroom furniture I have. I'm trying to find designs for my room that stick out, such as objects protruding from the walls, and interesting wall designs. For example, having the feeling of walking down an old-fashioned London street. If you have any interesting ideas, please tell me! Thanks in advance!

Need bedroom design ideas! Would black and white pictures on a mocha wall with red comforter look good? I currently have black and white pictures of orchids and cherry maple furniture. The bed is a sleigh bed. I would like to buy a red comforter with mocha accents and paint the walls a matching mocha color. Would this all tie together or just look funny?

Anyone know any good teen bedroom design ideas? I'm finally getting my own room, after moving to a new state I had to share one with my little sister, and now I'm getting my own room, but the thing is I'm not to sure what kinda theme I want to make it. I want the room to be my own, but I want it to be were everyone also likes it. I was thinking about making the walls either purple, orange, or lime. Design ideas for a bedroom with wainscoting? I'm 15 years old and I'm moving to a new house. My bedroom will have two walls that are pine wainscoting floor-to-ceiling. Also, the carpet is a gray-ish color. Does anyone have suggestions for design ideas or color schemes to go with the pine? I'm not allowed to paint the paneling which is my problem. My initial idea was to paint a wall gold or silver and do the opposite with my bedding. But I found out that looks terrible with the pine.

Beach Cottage bedroom design ideas? My fiancee and I have just bought our house, a cape. The Master bedroom is pretty large and has pitched ceilings. I'm looking for paint and design ideas so the room is beach cottagey and comfortable to make a relaxing and romantic space. Outside of white, what paint colors should I use and how should I implement them on pitched ceilings? Should I paint the walls up to the point that they start pitching or the pitch as well? Help! Need Bedroom Design Ideas..? I've had the same bedroom design now for 10yrs, and finally im allowed to decorate it. After months of thinking im still no where near an idea let alone a basic idea of what i want. I love photos, and landscape photos. I have two items in my room that i want to keep. A mirror from Ikea, that i painted cream and used a crackle glaze on top (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40213759/ ) and a print of L'arc de Triomphe in Paris (http://www.poster.net/davidson-clay/davidson-clay-place-charles-de-gaulle-2706548.jpg ) I was going to have a wall paper feature wall, but as we live in a barn i have a beam that runs right across the wall that my bed backs onto. I also have a velux window, my room is not a box room ( i live in the roof) so has sloping ceilings. I can't change the carpet (light beige) i was thinking of a duck egg blue on one wall and white on the rest but not sure now. Please help! My idea was to have white or light grey walls with two british racing green stripes in the centre all around and then using templates paint on some british car make badges but I'm not sure where I could get badge templates from or how I would work that unless I used stickers but it might look a little taccy and probably wouldn't come off too easily. Cute and cozy bedroom design ideas? My room is black, white and pink right now (pink for girly-ness and black for sophistication) but I'm getting a little sick of it. I love my room at certain times in the day but sometimes the lighting + the pink walls can make me feel uneasy. Bedroom design ideas for a ten year old girl? Hi! I'm on my older sister's Yahoo account because I'm too young to make my own. Anyways, I'm ten years old and every three to five years I get the design of my bedroom changes. I want it to kind of seem like I'm smart, because thats what I'm known for: My straight A's. A+'s in every class~ :D I don't brag about it, but I don't deny that I'm smart. My favorite color is orange and I love polka dots. My bed sheets don't match orange walls, though. I have a multi-colored bedspread: It's white, brown, blue, green and has all different designs. I also have a blue carpet and blue sparkly curtains. I can't change my furniture, though. Not aloud. I have white furniture and a pink lamp. I have pink walls right now. I just really want a nice room... I have a very small room and all my stuff is cramped into it. So, I basically want a room that's nice and sofisticated but shows I have spice and still has a kid's heart (I'm gonna have this room 'til I'm fifteen >.>). I like blasts of bright colors. Small Bedroom Design Ideas? Hello All! So my parents just found a home to rent and all was well until it was decided I would be the unlucky soul who got the smallest bedroom (kinda figured...as I am the youngest.) I don't have any measurements and I'm really sorry about that but its a complete box shaped room and a very slim "walk in closet" on the left hand side. (everything I am saying is based on an aerial view perspective...if that makes sense) Anywhoo there is one window on the upper left corner and the doorway is parallel to the window. I really need a desk as I do alot of work online but I also want it to be a very "flowy" room. (BUT I REALLY NEED THE DESK!) The bedroom would barely fit a full size bed (take approximately 1 to 2/4ths of the room) so if that gives you a sense of what I'm working with. ~*-_..._-*~ In Summation ~*-_..._-*~ Need Desk Really Tiny Room Please and thank you for ideas. Any good Bedroom design ideas? I am moving and am trying to find some good ideas for decoration. The room is quite small and just a basic rectangle. I already have a twin bed picked out for it. With a pint of black paint, a gallon of grayish-silver, and a gallon of mint green, how can I decorate one of the walls? All the other walls are green. I have just one wall left, and I want it to be designed, so it stands out when people walk into the room. I originally wanted it to be checkered, but there isn't enough paint for it, so I can't. Any ideas?

I got a new bed tonight, the old one was about 15 years old and was starting to sag at the middle and so along with the new bed will come a new set of sheets to match the new room design. I'm into TV production a lot and a TV/movie theme room would be awesome, some posters of high end camera gear, some stand mount lights for looks..could get expensive...but how about a green screen? those are neat. Anyways electromagnetic fields don't bother me...I live around computers all day, work with them all day, and sleep next to one most of the time. The green screen wall does sound a little much for color but I think im sticking with the TV production theme. I should also add I'm a guy so no pink, pink is the evil !!! LOL I'm not crazy about the yellow....but new things never look how I think they would until you try them I guess...

I'm looking to decorate my room in a couple of weeks and I really want it to be some place special and cozy where I can escape to as opposed to just another room. I have a lot of trinkets I've collected from around the world, predominately India, Thai Land and China though. I want it to look very worldly and festive yet tropical. What accessories or furniture can you recommend for my room? I have a simple white bed and bureau. The only object I really want to work around is a gorgeous beaded purple bedspread from northern India and I can't decide which color to paint my room. I'm really torn between a turquoise blue because it's calming and reminds me of the ocean or a mango shade of yellow/orange because it's bright and warm. Which do you think? Is my design idea for my bedroom good and how can I make it better? I just moved into a new apartment. I'm having furniture delivered from Ikea that is black/brown, all with squared edges and simple lines. (Malm, Mikael, & Expedit) Walls are currently (and will probably stay) white. I want my design to be simple Japanese/Asian meets colorful beach house. Bedding, wall decorations, and accessories are to be colorful (think the color wheel from elementary school). Design Help?? bedroom. any ideas at all? ok so im 17... my parents built our house 3 years ago. so when i was 14 i decided i wanted lime green walls.. not really neon but its decently bright. and now im kinda rethinking that - im allowed to repaint it or just find other colors to decorate with to make it work my room is pretty big.. like 26 feet by 16 feet.. i also have a walk in closet that i think is roughly 10 by 12. as of now i have hard wood floor, short long dress, tall skinnier dresser, a giant like 6 foot by 6 foot cubic shelf system thats black, a tv stand on the wall, a queen bed, a night stand, a dress makers form, a desk, another table with a sewing machine, and a 6 person love sac... really its not that crouded .. any ideas on color schemes, themes, anything would really help me out im pretty girlly i like... lace, polka dots, gingham, houndtooth, cheetah, zebra, metallics, victorian, really girlly girlly things.. and color wise.. i love it all.. thanks : ) also i forgot to add that.. with doing my room im doing my closet.. which is white i probably wont paint it though. i was thinking about moving atleast one dresser into the closet along with a makeup desk thats already in there .. like almost dressing room like.. with alot alot alot alot alot of organizing i am a very very messy person and there has to be tons of organization because i end up with a sea of clothes everywhere! thanks.. i just got the new delias magazine today and i think i want to go with their new bedding collection thats kinda like a robin egg blue and white victorian print and then black and white polka dots .. its really cute .. any idea to go with that?

Bedroom Interior Design Ideas? I am having the hardest time figuring out what i want in my room. I painted it back in January in a really dark beige color which is not working for me anymore. I need something more relaxing like a peach color or something in the blue side... Need help designing a FOOTBALL themed bedroom with specific ideas in mind? We're starting to plan for our son's BIG BOY room that will be football themed (mostly OSU stuff). But here's the delimma....I want to keep the bottom 1/2 of the wall to look like a football field (painted green with white markings for goal lines,etc). Any ideas about how to go about this. Any design / color ideas for my small spare bedroom? I have a small spare bedroom that has a twin bed (with a wood frame), an old chest and a couple other pieces that will need to be painted. I was thinking about painting most the furniture along with the wood frame a dark brown. I am still not sure about painting it all but for some reason I think it would work.
