Is Glow Paint better than Glow Stickers or Decals while working on a kids' bedroom design?

Kids Bedroom Designs - Have you ever tried Painting Glow Stars on the Bedroom Ceiling (Ideas)? My kid loves the night sky and I'm planning to paint his bedroom ceiling with glow in the dark stars. Have you ever tried this, or have ideas for wall murals?

A tree decor in my bedroom? I've been sharing the same room with my brother for the whole 14 years of my life and now my parents have decided to turn my mom's home office and the store as my room. I personally love the idea of having more privacy. Plus, they told me I could design it anyway I like. Just not too expensive. So I started browsing through some simple teen rooms on the internet and I came across this picture of a white tree painted on the wall. It instantly caught my attention and it would be a nice add to my new room. I could stick notes and pictures on the branches of the tree and it would look fantastic and add more of 'myself' to the room, you get me? Is there a solution to how I can maybe use a different type of painting or different ways of sticking the notes and photos to the tree? It can't be anything permanent since I would be changing the notes and photos over time. And if you have any other suggestions for a nice simple teen bedroom, feel free to add them to your answers :) Maybe a nice wall color that would go with the white color of the tree?

What are some good websites to look up different designs for teens / kids bedrooms?

How could you design a bedroom that a boy and girl share? I am a teenage girl sharing a bedroom with kid brother. I hate it but my parents just cant afford to get us our own private rooms. Which is understandable. So I really, really want to redo our room but can't find any unisex decorating ideas that aren't aimed at really little kids. This is like a 14 year old freshman girl and a 10 year old, 4th grade boy, both very mature. We want something that will make the room a pleasant, comfortable space for both of us. Bedroom design ideas for a ten year old girl? Hi! I'm on my older sister's Yahoo account because I'm too young to make my own. Anyways, I'm ten years old and every three to five years I get the design of my bedroom changes. I want it to kind of seem like I'm smart, because thats what I'm known for: My straight A's. A+'s in every class~ :D I don't brag about it, but I don't deny that I'm smart. My favorite color is orange and I love polka dots. My bed sheets don't match orange walls, though. I have a multi-colored bedspread: It's white, brown, blue, green and has all different designs. I also have a blue carpet and blue sparkly curtains. I can't change my furniture, though. Not aloud. I have white furniture and a pink lamp. I have pink walls right now. I just really want a nice room... I have a very small room and all my stuff is cramped into it. So, I basically want a room that's nice and sofisticated but shows I have spice and still has a kid's heart (I'm gonna have this room 'til I'm fifteen >.>). I like blasts of bright colors. bedroom design help please!? Well my mom wants me to completely re-decorate my whole bedroom (I'm 13) because she says it's starting to look really trashy. And I can't help but agree- all my furniture clash with the walls which clash with the carpet which clashes with the bedspread/curtains which clash with the dozens of band posters plastered over my walls which clash with my door covered in bumper stickers. A rather stupid explanation, but I think you get my point. She wants my room completely redone. And she wants me to get what I like. Well I'd like sort of a victorain theme, but then I don't want it to be too "girly". And I still want the posters (not kidding, I have 33 posters, 29 of them bands) but I don't want them to look stupid since like I said, the theme's supposed to be victorian. AND she wants all new furniture, and we're re-painting the walls. I was thinking something like blue or green with a purple trim. OR even better- purple with a RED trim (but I don't want it to look stupid) and I was thinking if there's any way possible to paint the room black. I don't want it to look like a rat hole, but black's like my color. but then... black AND victorian with band posters all over the place?! Any help? oh, and I MUST have it look organized. This sounds stupid, but I cannot funtion properly unless everything in my room is perfectly organized. I will, quite litterally go insane. And it has to LOOK organized too, which is why I worry about darker colors. Any help with this...??

1980's bedroom design? I am gonna do my room up 80's, but my mum wasn't "with the fad" when she was a kid, and my dad didn't take notice of the fashion. I want it a mix of 60's 70's and 80's and bright as I can, but I can't find any old movies to look at with good furniture in the back round. am i crazy to have this many kids? My house is divided in to three wings (red, white, blue) with a center with the kitchen, playroom, family room, dining room and athletic equipment room my room and the twin babies' room in each wing there 4 bedrooms (two kids per room) there is also a "common room" per wing, this is where the chore schedule, sports schedules, test and homework checkoffs are, there is also a TV that is locked off between 3-5 for homework each night, each child must check off homework and check with me or my husband to make sure it is done, the older kids often spend longer doing homework Each bedroom was designed by the two kids the room belonged to. For example; Naomi and Madden's room theme is underwater, therefore the posts of their beds look like seaweed and they have fish in there room and lots of blue and bubbled things. Alex and Connor's room is racecar themed, there beds are plastic cars with mattresses inside and there wall looks like a racetrack, etc. Each of the rooms was designed by the kids (except for Wyndham and Lyra) Does anyone have any other ideas to make my house more efficient? Couple has young kids won't be interested in a house which the master bedroom is on the first floor? We saw a single family house yesterday, it's bank owned now. We like it very much but have two major concerns, one is that the living room and dinning room have very high ceiling, the circulation of air won't be that good, so it might cost high bills of utility. The other concern is that the master bedroom and a very small bedroom are one the first floor; there are another two bedrooms on the second floor. Our friends told us that this kind of design doesn't sound good for the couples with young kids when we try to sale it later. Should we still go for this house?

I need some ideas for bedroom designs that will match my personality.My personality traits are: nice,calm,responsible and a bit immature at times,conservative,quiet, loves style,boho,and loves neutral colors and is neutral.But before anything else, here are some items in my room that I currently have that I won't get rid of cause i love them too too much or cause they were too much money for me to get rid of cause my parents paid for it with their own money, they are: medium gray curtains(i love them), white quilt(found it at target on sale for $23 but its really plain and the stitching are in squares), and my brown:bureau,bed frame, and nightstand(my parents bought this mission oak set at rooms to go kids and cost a lot of money for them). So those are the items that I can work with if I redo my bedroom. I just need some help on what bedroom design best fits my personality. OHHHH and the theme i was going for was like a vintage but modern boho chic bedroom. The colors i wanted in my room are violet purple, medium pink, classic leopard print, gray, white some silver and some black. If you could design a building of any type for someone, what would it be and why? Please state who for too : ) I would design a beautiful big house for my family in the future in the country somewhere, where I would spend the rest of my days with the one I loved...and my parents too - I want to look after them during old age. Decorating ideas for boys and girls sharing a bedroom? I am a teenage girl sharing a bedroom with kid brother. Really, really want to redo our room but can't find any unisex decorating ideas that aren't aimed at really little kids. Should I change my bedroom furnishings? OK, so I absolutely love dolphins! I am 17 and a junior in highschool, so I'm kind of wanting more of a young adult, mature bedroom. I have a bunkbed in my room, dolphin posters everywhere, a few guy posters (of Chris Brown, Jesse Mccartney, Brad Pit, and Zach Ephron), a big, pink mushroom style chair with a matching rug, a purple shag rug with a matching lamp, and dolphin nicknacks all throughout my bedroom. Girlfriend does not want kids with me.? This has weighed so heavily upon me, so please take this serious. I have been dating this amazing woman for 2 years now and she has 2 awesome kids I love as much as her. She is 35 and I am 36. She was divorced 3 years ago and I helped her out of her depression. I have never been married and have no kids. Ever since I was a child I wanted kids, or at least one. She has these two and has mentioned it to me before on having another, but majority of the time says she does not want any more. Need help quick on clean design.? okay i have 2 back doors. When you walk in one u are in the kitchen and when u walk in the other u are in the laundry room. But here's the tricky part the backdoor is like if you image in front of you, your'll see an left door and a right door which are the back doors. what should i do i am turning 19 in aug with two kids what should i do? i was raped 2 yrs ago. i now have twins (boys) and i love them!! the bastard that did this has been locked up. i am graduating HS this dec. (we have block schedule) and am interested in going to college in the spring. i willing be going for Medical Laboratory Technician here at the community college. the local university has (because of the situation) has agreed to offer me full scholarship (provided i graduate from the cc first). so i am not concerned with that, my question is should i get my certification in Medical assistant or pharmacy tech? Kinda stupid question but help! :) : Help me design my fantasy neighborhood? So I like designing houses on autocad and making up stories about the people who might live in them. I know it probably sounds dumb but I'm only 14 and its like my creative outlet. By imagining who might live in the houses I can be more creative in how I decorate and design them. At the minute I'm designing this really cool gated community with 11 houses. There are two tennis courts, a basketball court, a large swimming pool, a treehouse and a gym. So in my story all the houses belong to extended family, the family owned about 4 acres of land and family members gradually built their houses on it. I have the people and back stories for the people who live in 9 of the houses. But for Houses 10 and 11 I'm kind of stuck. They are two semi detatched houses and are mirror images of each other. They both have four bedrooms each, so technically there is room for at least 3 kids each. So six more potential kids. The thing is I'm not sure if there are too many kids in the gated community already, and if I were to put more kids in who would hang out with who etc. I have tried to make it so everyone should have at least one other kid around their age and gender to be friends with. In the 9 houses altogether there are 24 kids. Here are the ages: Girls 1, 2, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 Boys 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 12, 12, 13, 14 Should I add on more kids for the two spare houses and if so what ages and genders would fit best? Kids running loose! What would you do? I had a playdate at my house yesterday. A parent of a 3 and 4 year old let her kids run all over my house (kitchen and bathroom). I shut the doors to the bedroom and other rooms. They 'destroyed' my infant's toys by riding on them (horsey), knocking things over, not playing with the toys as they were designed to be played with, putting their feet on the toys on purpose, pulling toys out and not putting things up, taking toys away from my infant son when he was playing with them, etc. They were loud and obnoxious. One of the other parents actually told her that her kids were being too loud for her newborn. They were so out of control. They spilled food all on the floor and made a mess on my kitchen table. Their mother did not have them clean up after themselves. She did not even clean up after them (putting toys away, food in the garbage can, etc.). The get together was in the afternoon (not at lunch) and her kids were hungry. (They're chubby too). So, I nicely gave them MoRe food! Now, we're out of bread. I am just shocked. I didn't say anything in the moment b/c I felt it was not my job. They are not my kids. She should be the one to discipline them. But, it is my house, so. I'm a new mother. I admit I don't know much. But, it is common sense that I should have said something. After all, it is my house. But, I wanted her to feel welcome and I wanted to be 'nice.' She ignored her kids and destroyed my house. That was my first time meeting her. I hope to never see her kids again! I learned a huge lesson - no more playdates at my house! So, what would you have done? Would you have said something to her, even if it was every minute that you would be saying something to her? Is this room plan design idea clumsy and unworkable? My husband and I are currently designing the floor plan of our house. And he is driving me crazy with constantly changing his mind and switching aound rooms and saying, oh put this here, take out that, make that bigger etc. Because he is the fantasy I am the practical. For example he'll say, oh put all the bedrooms on one side, but when I tell him we have a 10m wall and 3 bedrooms and 4 walls eating into that 10m space totalling 90cm then the bedrooms are going to be like sausages. Anyway, his new thought is that between two rooms both of about 4m deep we put a storage room, like a deep skinny storage closet. So this storage room would be a clean 1.5m by 4m with no windows and one acess door at the 1.5m side (his idea not mine). So I told him not only would you need a heck of a lot of lighting to see whats in there, but you could only put things along one wall, for about 1m so you could have about a 50cm skinny foot space to walk down the 4m of the room to see what you have and have access to it all. I personally think its unworkable and just odd. What do you think...if it was say a clean 2m wide do you think that would work or the idea is just stupid? The reason was, we as a family really need a storage room, which I had designed to be by the front door so you could straight away put in the prams (2 kids, one 2 one not born yet lol), then later on bikes and other stuff, coat hooks on the wall for hooks, suitcases and winter clothes/summer clothes, sports equipment you know all that. And at present by the front door, my storage room eats into our box shape living room making it into an L shape. I just liked the idea of it being by the front door mainly for coats, prams, and for future...bikes...idea Lol, so if I haven't confused you, mainly what's your opinion on my husbands idea...the skinny deep sausage storage room? Thanks for your help. Unfortunately the land is our problem, our house is built on a massive slope so we can only have one entrance on that one wall, the opposite end will be a drop. You see we are building 2 stories, our floor is top floor with the top road access, and the bottom floor is my brother-in-laws place with the lower road acess. So no back door for us. And unfortunately no rubber-maid stuff, because it would look unsightly at the front of the house and we live in Greece so they dont sell that stuff :( . But I'm glad for the second opinion backing me up on thinking that my husbands storage place idea is unworkable. Hi, thanks again for the input! You gave me a great idea to make my bedroom bigger whilst still keeping the walls flush with the others...eat into the next room and put our ensuite and walk-in there! Brilliant! I am going to have to fiddle about but I think its all do-able, and I think I will make that front door storage space just big enough for say a pram, some stacked boxes and hanging coats, and allocate storage elsewhere say in my laundry and our walk-in. Its funny, just when you get to the point when there is no more fiddling you could possibly do! lol

Why is he behaving like this....? My 14 month old Labradoodle is a boy (unspayed). We have a cage for him in the kitchen (it is very big and is actually designed for much larger dogs). Since he was a puppy we have put him in his cage when we go out (to work) and at night to sleep. For the last few weeks we have been leaving him out of his cage at night and his behaviour has been great - he sleeps at our bedroom door and settles really quickly. As we were having such success with this we tried leaving him when we went out to the supermarket the other day. we were only away for about 45 minutes but in that time he went into all the bedrooms and toilet (he is not alowed in these rooms and does not go in them when we are in) - the door were closed when we left but he opened them. And he had moved things about - i.e he had taken things from our bedroom and put them in the kids bedroom and vice versa. He had only destroyed some toilet rolls in the bathroom. But the worst thing was that he had done a poo outside our bedroom (he never does this and has been toilet trained since he was about 3 1/2 month old) he had been out just before we left and had done the toilet. sorry if this is a bit long winded but I wanted to get all the details in. Anyone got any advice? xx

How to design a small room to be cute and spacious as possible? Any neat ideas? ok so i'm working on a house and here's where we're at... there's a tiny room... either can be an extra room or a bedroom, we're trying to make it a bedroom most likely for like a little kid but we're selling the house so it might not even be a little kid (we dont know)... theres a little walkway into the room so the door can open and not take up space.. then on the right wall when you walk in there's a space for a closet, to make it more spacious we're thinking maybe we should leave it open, a dressor could fit in there or something, even part of the bed... however we're not set on this idea and we're trying to think of something creative that may make it another selling point, any ... i mean ANY ideas are great!! let me know what would make you want to buy it... any cute ideas, or unique ones, whatever, we just can't figure it out and i've been looking online forever! please give me some input! thanks it's very well appreciated!!

Can I extract into a disused Chimney Breast? To all Chimney experts / builders / anyone else in the know how, I am set to buy a house soon and am thinking of designing the kitchen. The current kitchen (in the property to be bought) is miniature. So I will bring down the soft wall separating the kitchen and the dining room to make an open planned kitchen Diner and use the current dining room as the kitchen. The problem I have is there is no external wall in that space where an extractor can go above the cooker. However, there is a disused chimney breast and the gas fire place is still in place. I wanted to block that fire place and brick it up, and have my cabinets on that wall, and then have the extractor on that wall extracting into the chimney breast and out of the house. This is a 2 storey house with the proposed kitchen area on the ground floor directly under what will be the kids bedroom. Finally, there are two fire places downstairs (lounge and diner next to each other) but it merges into one breast upstairs in master bedroom (no fire place there). I will also condemn and brick up the fire place in the lounge. What are my options please? I live in London (UK) and hence would be grateful for any advice specially about building regs that have to be observed in assessing whether my idea is sound and safe. Thanks in advance. how often do people marry their high school sweet hearts? i was given a project, it was to design the house you'd like to have and give the square footage of each room and give the reason for the room... i got really into it. i designed the basement, middle level and top level, on the top levels i even put the bed rooms of the kids id like to one day have, a bedroom for each kid, i have the names picked out already and while doing this project, i realized i could see me in this "house" with my girlfriend. we've talked about marriage before and names for our children we'd want to have, we have discussed everything about our future, weve looked at houses online together, cars we'd like to some day have... but i also think were too young to actually believe that we can be together forever, i would love to be, but can two people last together forever, especially when you met in 7th grade and started dating the summer going into your freshmen year of highschool?

Hideaway/Desk Bed? I'm 17 years old, over 6 foot tall and unfortunate enough to live in the tiny box room whilst my sister who's half the size of me, gets the biggest room in the house (she is older though) Anyway, I'm decorating my bedroom again and need ideas for a space saving bed, preferably one that I can fit a desk under so I have space for my PC. Trouble is, all these types of beds are either a) designed for kids that are 2 foot tall or b) ridiculously expensive. My dad suggested that I get plans for building one and he'd do it himself, but I can't find any, nor can I find any for sale that don't match the criteria I said above, all I get is 'childrens cabin beds' (I don't want a cabin bed, I want one that folds away) Can anyone help? My landlord kept my deposit and is saying I owe $300 in addition. Is this legal? I rented a 4 bedroom house with my 4 kids 3 years ago. It's in a so so neighborhood and i had 3 break in's/theft and my son was beaten a year ago resulting in 3 police reports and an ER visit. I wasn't able to afford to move earlier and in Jan I found another home in a safer area. During the time we lived their my 2 teens and their friends were hard on the walls and doors (which was 1/2 drywall and cheap hollow luan doors). I notified the landlord I was moving on 1/22/09 and moved the weekend on 2/15/09. I spent 2 weeks repairing the house replacing most of the doors, I hired a contractor to fill the holes in the walls, shampooed carpet, left the house empty and clean. My lease was up on May 15th. I paid rent to 3/15 and she rerented the house on 3/27. had a $920 security deposit. When I moved in everything was in good condition however it was 5-10yrs old then. I spent roughly $2,000 on door knobs, doors, stain, etc. (I have receipts) She is charging me $75.00 for replacement 12" sticky floor tiles that were .39 each and $120 for her labor because 10 were damaged/scuffed and she couldn't find the same design to repair just the damaged tiles. She charged a total of $367 for her labor which included the above, filling nail holes in molding, applying sealer to the doors (I had stained them 3x and it was a 1 step stain). Obviously I can't put the whole list on here but I replaced everything brand new. I did all the prep work so she could just go in and paint. I bent over backwards and took a 401k loan and I still get a $300 bill and no deposit. Is this legal?

Is it a good idea to drop everything and go to LA? I am a 23 year old college student and I am struggling to find myself in Miami were I live. I am an artist. I write, design, sing, act everything you can imagine...with a wicked sense of organization. I got married too young, no kids and living in a 1 bedroom apartment. I feel trapped and feel like time is slipping from me everyday. I know I am meant for great things in life. Ive always wanted to be a respected artist in the public eye. So I was thinking I would drop everything and pursue my artistic career in LA. I don't know anyone there and wondered if this type of spontaneous action only works for the movies? A. Is this a good idea? Will it be worth it? B. How much $ would I need before I can settle with a job etc? My husband is the most understanding person Ive ever met. Too much for my own good.So I know he wouldn't stop me. But I need to know if this would benefit me or ruin me?

Starting to return to normal again? I know many of you were aware about my friend who had cancer that was rapidly spreading. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance yesterday afternoon. Her children stayed with her from 4:00-6:00pm, to be with her for some time before she goes. The at 11:00pm we got word that she had passed away. It's very upsetting, but we're happy to know she's at peace at once. If you don't know, she wanted me to raise her children (3, 6, and 10) when she was gone. Luckily we got everything legal a few days ago, so it's all set! Anyway, today we had her funeral. It was sad, but I feel like we're more at peace now. The kids are slowly adjusting within only a few days. How to I gradually start getting to normal? The kids haven't been in school this entire week, but we plan on sending them back Monday. Tomorrow, we are working on picking and designing bedrooms. I'm sure they are tired on air mattresses. Thanks for your help!

Is it a bad idea for the children to sleep on the ground floor, & the parents upstairs? We're contemplating a particular house design for our self-build project. The one we like has two rooms, one with en-suite in the upper floor (these rooms have part-sloping walls as it's the roof space). There are two slightly smaller bedrooms downstairs, with a separate bathroom also on the ground floor. We originally thought the kids would take the downstairs rooms, while we took the master bedroom and second upstairs room for our office. However I feel a little uneasy about the children sleeping downstairs, and my parents have expressed the strong view that this would not be safe or suitable. But if the kids sleep go upstairs, they would have the bigger rooms, and one would have an en suite but the other not - doesn't seem ideal! Opinions please?! Redesigning the upper floor layout to include shared bathroom is not easy due to slanty walls.

Should i start trusting my dad's friend (kinda long)? awhile ago, my dad brought his friend over the same day that my mom came to pick me up to go to her house for the weekend. well, my dad didnt really BRING him over, he just sorta popped outta nowhere. well this guy just came into our house without knocking or ringing the doorbell, went to our kitchen, opened the fridge and said "what, ur dad aint go no beer up in this b-i-t-c-h?". and im just standing there like "wtf?" then my dad came out of his room and started talking with his "buddy". then my mom came through the back door which is connected to the garage and kitchen. so she comes in and my stepmom introduces my mom to my dad's friend and explained to him that my mom is my dad's ex wife. so the guy says "so does that mean she's single?" and my mom laughs and says "no im married." (that guy is soooo lucky my stepdad wasn't there!!!) im kinda gettin mad cuz this guy who i never met before just barges into our house and starts flirting with my mom! so i ignored it and went to my room to get my bag of clothes and whatnot! while i was getting ready... my dad, my stepmom, and that dude went to the garage to smoke/talk with the garage door wide open. so my mom and i went through the back door and as we're walking past them, the guy says "lemme know when you dump the old man." to my mom. my mom stopped walking, turned around and said "haha sure". then she turned around, rolled her eyes and went to her car. i was mad as it is so while me and my mom were in the car driving, i break the awkward silence by saying "i dont like that guy very much" and told her why. and just today while i was cleaning my room, i hear the doorbell and then that guy's voice. (yeah i know, he rang the doorbell this time!) i hear my stepmom and dad saying "hello" to the guy and yadda yadda yadda. then i hear a lady's voice so i come outta my room to see who it is. my dad and his friend were in the living room talking and the guys sees me and says "hey cutie, what's up?" so i say hi and nm. i go to my dad's room and my stepmom was on the computer with this lady behind her and they were looking at pictures. my stepmom turns around and sees me standing in the bedroom doorway and says "oh and this is tony's daughter, tianna." (tianna's my name and tony's my dad's name) the lady smiles and shakes my hand and says "hello, nice to meet you! My name is Roxanne (or Roxanna. i cant remember. lets just call her Roxy) Roxy looks like she's around her late 40's or early 50's. so they were looking at pictures of all the kids. (wayyyyy to many kids!!!) after a while we were standing right outside my dad's bedroom and talking and Roxy and my dad's friend were saying how i look a lot like my dad. (i look more like my mom though) and then i hear Roxy say "yeah she's really beautiful". im 13 so its a lot better hearing someone call me beautiful then cutie pie. lol ANYWAYS! i go to the kitchen and my dad's friend and Roxy go to the kitchen too so they can go through the back door. my dad's friend goes to me and says "ur really cute, you know that right?" im standing there with my hair going down my back and some hair in the front over my shoulders and im also wearing a hat that looks like this: http://www.black.co.uk/media/images/CAJ426_1_m.jpg same design but more dark blue-ish. i was wearing it exactly the same as it is in the picture so my dad's friends pulls that folded part down over my eyes and i smile as i bring it back up and then he gives me a hug and says "ur a beautiful girl." i like compliments so i said thank you. so just because he gives me compliments and starts acting nice with manners..... should i start trusting him? Roxy is a teacher at a high school my stepmom and my dad want me to go to after my last year in middle school with all my friends. i want to go to the school that my friends are going to!! well except for my best friend. she's going to a different school, its a school of the arts so i doubt i'll get accepted. my next choice was the one that my other friends are going to. if i go to the one that Roxy works at, i'll be seeing her and my dad's friend alot..... so.... should i start trusting him now so high school won't be so bad?

What do you think of my writing? You don't have to finish reading.? I had never given much thought as to how I would die, or maybe I should say that I never gave much thought as to how I would live. But, dying is supposedly part of life; when you die, you are gone physically, and your spirit will be offered the golden gates of heaven, or the charcoal-black ones of hell... My death was given neither of those options. My death was reversed. CHAPTER 1 I sat up in my bed annoyed and confused. The haunting dreams of the previous night were building up with each moment of my unconsciousness. I had to move only to avoid sinking back into slumber. Nothing was of any importance beside the throbbing pulse in my temple that has greeted me at every one of my rude awakenings from the past few days. I can't help but wonder the cause of the nightmares even though my finding an answer is doubtful. Moving was a whole other factor. With every twitch, the pulsing got a beat per minute faster. It was a heavy pressure deep inside of my head. After a half-hour of moving down the huge winding staircase and making my way to the kitchen, I got to the medicine cabinet and reached successfully for the Fast Relief Tylenol. With a little bit of help from H20, I managed to swallow the large white tablet. I leaned back on the dark marble counter to to turn my head sideways and lean my cheek on the cold cabinets that hung above. I saw the bright light of a digital clock hanging over the doorway only to see that it was five in the morning. Enough time for a teenager to sleep? I don't think so. Stumbling my way back up the stairs, I walked back into my bedroom. My family is very wealthy and it shows in my room. A huge king-sized, four poster canopy bed sits in the middle of the room, half way down the northern wall. The fabric that hangs over and around the bed is off-white silk from one of the finest makers in the world and the posts are made of mahogany-very expensive mahogany. One antique side table sits on either side of the bed with a lamp and pile of books on one and alarm clock and cell phone on the other. A large, matching mahogany desk overlooks the front of the estate under a huge window that faces south. My closet is on the eastern wall; it has French doors and a white outline. My floor is carpeted with a basic off-white color called "Castle Stone" that is ultra-soft. Opposite my bed sits a rarely-used flat screen TV and a DVD player in the wall. With the rooms detailed frame and gorgeous shade of light brown that resembles that of a cappuccino, it is beautiful . I didn't get the chance to actually design the room myself, and at first I hated the image it gave me: Shallow wealth. Although I may sometimes enjoy the luxuries of money, I hate being considered a spoiled rotten brat. But then again, when you go to a Los Angeles Private academy, there isn't really such thing as poor or anything besides first class except for the occasional kid with a scholarship. Dasherman is the "Rich kid" school of Los Angeles county. It is about fifteen minutes away from downtown and resides in a hundred year old mansion in the Arroyo (a wealthy community). It is made of red bricks and dark, dark wood. It is a safe haven for all of us who's parents are constantly working, or always in a foreign country on some "business trip," which meant for most kids: Dad is cheating on Mom. Luckily for me; or maybe I should say unluckily: my parents don't go o business trips. Instead, they insist on ignoring me most of the time and telling me how unsuccessful my life will be with the rest of it. I walked past my bed into the bathroom that is connected to my room. I needed a shower (the nightmares left a thick layer of sweat covering my entire body), and as I walked through the large bathroom of cold stone that made me want to jump, I saw my reflection in the large mirror. My looks are pretty decent; I don't find myself to be ugly, nor pretty, but somewhere in between. My eyes are set where they should be, straight nose, and thin lips, although the bottom one is a little bit fuller than the top. I have fairly clear skin, and I'm pretty pale despite the constant Southern California Sun. I have wavy dark brown hair that flows halfway down my back (although, this morning, it has decided to throw itself out in all possible directions). My general body is petite (the result of a very high metabolism), but no so much that my bones jet out and are visible through my skin. I stand at five foot, five inches, which is pretty short compared to both my parents six (plus) feet. My friends tell me that I have "potential." Whatever that is supposed to mean, I don't know. I stared at my deep green eyes and realized the sudden redness of my face. When it gets cold, my face flushes into a rosy pink color that is embarrassing to walk around with because it makes me look like I am blushing to an extreme degree. I then reached into a cabinet, pulled out a light pink towel (part of the rooms color scheme), and turn I understand that my vocabulary is not excellent, and I need to rephrase things, but I'm only thirteen. I realize that it's straight from Twilight. That will be changed, so relax, there was a reason for that: Twilight inspired me to start writing, so I gave it a little credit by putting it in my writing. Like I said, it will be moved.

I think I am in a bad almost verbally abusive relationship, but I really don't know and I am very confused!? I have been seeing this man for four years, we live together. We are a young couple, he has two young girls from a former marriage. Neither one of us has very high or stable jobs and needless to say our stress level is at an all time high. He is trying to start his own business, website design and Internet marketing. I am a childcare provider trying to find more work but having a very difficult time. I am 22 he is 29 and we fight non stop. Every day we fight. We have for a while we have always had our problems. We both have high stress and anxiety problems as is but ever since he quite his job to start his business we have fought constantly and its only gotten worse. He is very very stressed, he throws up almost every day from it. I have tried to help him, most of his stress is money but a small bit is his pride from the business not working. He snaps at me for everything and lately doesn't even have a reason. I used to fight back, but now I feel so tired from all of it and he has gotten so cold I just try to stay out of his way. He calls me names like slut, whore, moron, white trash, useless and others, on a daily basis now. I cry two three times a day. When I tell him how I feel he just says its my fault because I don't make him feel like a man. All I have to do is come home from work not smiling enough or happy enough and he gets mad saying he wished I wouldn't come home because I just bring him down and cause him not to get work done. But at times I have blown up and called him an asshole, or said hes not a man. But sometimes I feel like he is not a man. I mean I am not innocent by any means and I have my own problems but I am just a 22 year old girl how can he scream all those horrible things at me and still be a man? He'll tell me he wished I die and that I am just like cancer and then when I start crying tell me I am just a child who tries to play victim. And then two hours later turn around and say sorry he's just stressed like its not big deal and I should just understand if I loved him. I don't know maybe I am just being stupid and still believing fairy tales, maybe I should just understand? I really don't know any more. Its just it hurts so bad when he yells at me, I love him so much and try so hard, I clean the whole house so he doesn't have to worry about it, always take care of his kids when they come over, help him as much as possible with his business, I let him sleep till 12pm and work until 11pm and I don't complain I used to in the beginning but not anymore I just want him to be happy. But I am starting to feel awful inside, like can't do anything right, and why bother cause he is just going to hate me anyways, that I am not a good woman or girlfriend. Almost that I am just worthless. I don't know. But sometimes I get angry at him for always being stressed. I am so lost right now. I am not functioning right anymore. I just want to sleep all the time, I had in the bedroom, I hate going home and I hate not being home because I hate being around people any more. I cry, I have panic attacks, sometimes it just feels really hard to breath. I don't have very many friends any more, and not a good relationship with my family. I don't really know who to talk to. But I need some advice or some thing?

Help with some ideas for the cat room/litter box area? I live in a small one bedroom apartment with five indoor cats. I currently have 2 large-ish litter boxes that I scoop daily too keep everything...not gross. So, I was reading that I should have a box per cat plus one, but I don't really have much room for that. I have the litter boxes in my laundry room, which is, I dunno, probably 10-12 feet long and 4-5 feet wide (I'm guessing from memory). It's a decent size, and I have a stacked washer/dryer unit, so that helps keep space available. I was wondering if I could get some ideas for giving them more box space, and I guess look better. Here's the current problems I continue fighting with: 1. I use tidy cats scoop, which is amazing litter, but tracks EVERYWHERE and I have linoleum floors, so it scatters as well. 2. Someone, no matter how clean I keep the box, continues to poop on the side. 3. The 2 brothers love to roll in the litter when it's either replaced or freshly scooped, I guess to show appreciation. They're adorable, but it's gross, if that makes sense. I don't really expect this one to be solved here, but it came to mind, and is kind of funny. I'm looking to make this room kind of more comfortable for them. Aside from the occasional laundry that I forget to do, it's the one room in here that is pretty much devoted to them, and I had originally hoped to design it so they could play in there as well, which they do, but only in the litter. Soooo, suggestions for ways to fix up this room for the kids, I guess? (I also can't put litter boxes anywhere else in the apartment. There's just no room) I bought some dollar store rugs, and that has helped a lot with the scatter of litter, but the rugs clump up. (my kids like to run and slide on them. I can't say I blame them, I used to do that in gym class, but..yeah, I can't fix it from work, haha.) I don't know where to find that stuff to keep rugs from sliding or how much it is. And I love the tower building idea, and if anyone has any more pictures of homemade ones, I'd love to see them :)

what is your overrall impression about IKEA furniture? love it? hate it? total junk? great value? over the weekend, i bought a set of backyard furniture and one queen bed for the guest bedroom - i used to be anti-IKEA, thinking they all junk and disposable. now i have a little change of mind - not completely: 1. i think most of their stuff serve the purpose. 2. good value - not something you can passed on to your kids, but for that one summer or two, it works. 3. i've noticed they try hard to be green - lots of recycle material, their package is very plain, no styro foam used in packaging material, no plastic bags at check-out. 4. setup was suprisingly easy - 6 pieces including the queen bed took me 3 hours, instruction and design is clear and simple. i am not saying that i become a fan of IKEA, i still believe in certain holding value for your home furnitures. what do you think? i did weeks of research before set on ikea's set, comapring price with WM and target and i have not yet seen a better value set. the new WM opened in my area is even more decked-out than ikea store in my opinion, but I know what you mean, still need to do the homework first.

where can I buy a kid's throw rug - not online? I want to put an area rug near the crib since I don't have a nursery, just some space in an extra bedroom (that also contains other furniture). I figure the rug would kind of separate the baby's space. I can't rememebr the name-- Children's Picture Book? The book was about 10" x 12" at least. Not very long probably less than 25 pages. Hard back with a dust cover. I think it was probably printed in the 80's or 90's it didn't seem that old. The illustrations were very clean and crisp not cartoonish at all. It was purely illustrations with a few words on each page. I remember there were 2 or three kids in some of the illustrations. I think they were all in black and white. The illustrations were kind of random from what I can remember.....on each page there was a few words or a couple of sentences that kinda made you think up your own story for each picture. I remember one picture of the children on a railroad car (the kind you pump by hand) the railroad seemed to go on forever and dissappear into the horizon. I also remember one picture was of a bedroom and an open window...the wallpaper had bird designs on it and one of the birds was peeling off the wall and becoming a real bird. I loved this book as kid! I wish I could find it! The book didn't really have a story it was random illustrations. I've been looking everywhere for this book and I can't find it! I tried ebay and amazon...no luck!

Please spare some time to read my story and comment? Chapter One: The End Late nights. Overtime at the office. Dim light. Drawing plans rolled up everywhere, torn up everywhere in the bin, on the floor, on my desk, on my seat. I guess it’s just another one of those nights at the office as an architect. You know when I was a kid I swore I wanted to be an architect. I loved playing with Legos and those damn building blocks…what do you call them? Jenga? Anyway, back in primary school I kept playing with those damn Legos and my teacher Miss Benstock. Yes, I even remember her name. It was in year two when she gave me the biggest encouragement to keep building the Legos. She said I was a natural and that I was great at it. She’s a great gal she was. Real pretty too. I mean I guess she just came out of uni and everything was all bright and stuff, unlike those older teachers with no potential, no future, just sitting around trying to reminisce on younger years by hanging around young children before they finally hit the grave. Poof. Gone and back to the earth they came from. Anyway, life isn’t anything like you imagined it in high school or primary school. It’s just crap. When you’re an architect and you don’t go big, and you’re just a small fry in a large company like Bigex Design Industries, people don’t actually notice you’re around. See, you always have these huge dreams of achieving greatness, travelling the world, shaking hands with important people and making loads of money to bring back to your beautiful wife and kids. Yea, that’s what they call the American dream. That’s why I moved to this goddam New York in 08. I originally lived with my family in San Francisco since I was born until I was 22 when I got offered a job in New York at this company called T&G Architectural Industries which goddam failed as the whole company went down to the ground in bankruptcy because of the stupid Global Economic crisis. I lost my goddam job and I moved from my large condo into this shitty little condo down 15th street. Luckily I graduated from San Francisco University with a masters in Architecture so I had a good file and everything and I got accepted into Bigex. But with minimum wage and hardly any friends there wasn’t much I could look forward to. Only a few months ago, I got news from San Francisco that my father just died. Dropped dead with a heart attack. It was damn sad. Though that old man did cause some pain in my life, I did love the guy. Man that was a depressing point in my life and it didn’t necessary do any good for my career too. I overheard some people talking about Mr Stevens, my boss, firing me in the upcoming days. So now, I’m sitting here in my little office cubicle trying to finish off this design for some Japanese customers who apparently want a whale-sized swimming pool inside their building…I watch the clock on the wall as it hits past ten at night. I swear I thought my eyelids were hanging to the desk I was so tired. I packed my little suitcase that I had with me for years. It’s really all broken up now, it’s pretty useless in holding heavier things. I don’t really care though, so I just stuff my papers into my suitcase not caring where they go. My suitcase has these slits that you can slip in your sheets, but I just couldn’t be bothered. By the time I finished stuffing my sheets in my suitcase, it looked exactly like my life. All disorganised and over the place, crumpled up and written all over. Anyway, I headed off downstairs to catch a taxi. I didn’t own a car, it costed too much. I couldn’t afford any luxuries, so I just took the bus everyday, and if I couldn’t, I’d take the cab. As I arrived on the 15th street and headed up to my depressing apartment. Seriously, if you looked at it, it looked exactly the same as all the other apartments on the entire street. Just all dull and grey with like one tree planted between each apartment and a broken down fence that separated the apartments. So anyway, I got up to the door and waited for the lift. As I got in I noticed the urine stains on the wall and the empty Macdonalds lying on the floor as I waited till I got up to the 3rd floor. There was just this dim light in the corridor flickering on and off and making the buzzing sound each time it did as I trudged to my apartment door. My apartment doesn’t have much in it. Just four rooms: bedroom, kitchen, toilet and the living room. My living room had one 16 inch TV on this old table I had with an old couch I bought almost a year ago with a pot and its wilting plant in the corner of the room. The walls were bear white with stains of grey where the wall paper was peeling off. As I got in I threw my suitcase onto the couch and slumped into my bed. I swear if I hear that alarm clock go off again I’m going to take a hammer and smash it to bits. Every morning I have to wake up at 6 just to put on my suit and get ready for work. My suit was from my dad because I couldn’t really afford a good one myself. It was probably the most expensive thing I had in my apartment, apart from my guitar. My parents forced me to get guitar lessons when I was a kid even though they could hardly pay for it. I’d thank them though because I really do like the guitar. Sometimes I spend my mellow days playing it until I felt a little better. But anyway, I did all the things a suit would do in front of the mirror. You know the usual, shaving, brushing my teeth, doing up my tie all ready for the small fry job I had at Bigex. And the usual, I get onto the bus with all these other suits looking at their watches or their phones before they got to work just like me. And of course the traffic decides today that there’s a traffic jam. So me and my fellow suits just stand there on the bus waiting for the guy at the front of the traffic to get a move along while everybody’s beeping their cars and screaming road rage language at everyone. It’s all really a hoot. Typical New York. So anyway, I’m back in my little office cubicle. Everything’s still there when I left there. Drawing plans rolled up everywhere, torn up everywhere in the bin, on the floor, on my desk, on my seat. Anyway, before I get to work on my design for the Japanese clients I get a call from Ms Diane, Mr Steven’s assistant. ‘Umm…Travis, Mr Stevens would like to see you in his office right away please.’ ‘Yes, thank you Rosie. I’ll be there in a sec.’ Sigh, here it was. The axe. Couple of my colleagues mentioned the axe on me before. Here it comes I guess. I went up the lift to the highest floor and walked up to Ms Diane before knocking on Mr Steven’s door and walking in. Man the 35th floor really was a luxurious floor. Huge spaces with black marble floor and glass doors and huge view. Wish I could live this sort of pampered lifestyle rather than my low-paying low life. ‘Good Morning Mr Stevens.’ I say as the usual greeting. ‘Ah… good morning Travis. Let’s get to the point shall we? Our company’s not going on a good run my son. Interest rates have gone up and there aren’t many clients as there used to be. Too many people worried about the Global economic crisis that makes no one want to build buildings anymore.’ Mr Stevens was a very straightforward man who liked to get down to business. To him, time meant precious money. Money that he couldn’t afford wasting…on me. ‘Umm…yes sir.’ I was getting pretty nervous then even though I knew I was getting the axe. ‘So son. There’s no easy way to say this. But we’re going to have to let you go mate. Sorry.’ And that was it. My big career all washed down the drain. Packed my bags, got my last paycheque and headed out. I hadn’t paid my rent for my apartment for like two weeks now, so I don’t know how the landlord is going to deal with me being unemployed and all. Life’s just great ain’t it?

what do you think of this short story?-i dont know yet how to paragraph as im new to yahoo so bear with me? I was not sure if i liked the house i has just seen so i visited some more.I was in the market for renting or buying one eventually if i liked it.I had been looking at several all month.I made decint money as an architect and finally found my dream home it looked like.It had wooden panelling and high ceilings,a den,3 bedrooms,2 bathrooms and a gorgeous yard and patio.I agreed to renting it out and moved in the following day.As i was unpacking my belongings i noticed something strange.A diary was in the master bedroom upstairs where i was sifting through my clothes.So turning to it i opened it which i really had no desire to at first and read the first few pages of it.It mentioned that it was belonging of to a girl named Sara who had lived in the house previously.But it described strange surroundings in the home.Events such as lights going on and off and footsteps heard walking in the living room at all hours of the night.But it was a friendly ghost and only mischievous at that from the details mentioned in the diary.She didnt have very long to live it said and i was baffled to discover why.I probably better not read any further as its a private thing but was captivated to read on further.Well i paid some more attention to it and read it straight through to the end.I finally had put it down and as nightfall approached i settled in for the night.Just then i heard the sounds as described in the book and went to see what it was.I saw nothing and locked the front door anyways.I stayed up for 30 minutes and saw nothing from then on!I then went back upstairs and as i was about to go to bed again i heard the strange whisper of a young girl saying to come downstairs.I ignored it but it kept up so i investigated once more the phenomenon and saw the sillouhette of a girl maybe 7-8 and she was dressed in pajammas it looked like.I asked her name and she smiled at me.She spoke not and drifted away from the room we were in.I saw her walk towards my bedroom and as i followed her inside the apparition simply vanished.The diary was also gone.I was stumped as to its mystery.i recalled reading that the girl had died who wrote the diary and wanted to share her life with someone before claiming it for good.She knew she was dying and had some form of rare cancer.So she came back from the grave to get it but why me ill never know.It could be a random thing but i had stumbled across this house at a feeling of being welcomed.It was the last house i looked at that week and not the best house i saw.It had a unique pleasantness and homely feeling attached to it that i just needed to move in to it right away without question.Well after that incident i decided to leave milk and cookies for the girl as a measure of hospitality.Each morning i awake to visit my kitchen and see that all but 2 of the 5 sugar cookies are gone.I guess 2 were left for me but the milk is always half full and i believe it to be the same notion there as well.I now have no doubt i came to live in the right home as its like having a kid all my own despite never marrying or adoption.I was lured here by the dead girl who is actually very much alive in a sense spiritually speaking of course.Why i dont really know but she probably sensed id want to play with her and give her presents she never received before she died once meeting her in a most unusual manner.If you are looking for that ideal home to buy or rent remember that the nicest most attractive house isnt necessarily the best one for you in which to reside.You may want to explore other possibilities as well.Its been about 2 years now since moving in and im mortgaging the property as my own now.Each birthday of hers as was stated in her journal i leave behind presents like teddy bears and dollhouse furniture to which they always make their way to her.It sounds like an imaginary friend theme going on here im certain but i proved it to my sister who slept over 1 night that it was true or at least i thought of it to be true.Darling eddy she said,i left a small girls shirt with winnie the pooh as a design and placed it upstairs in the bedroom where you claim she had lived.The next day it was gone but i looked all around the house for it but still nothing.So it must be her again as you werent even here last night and i know you never came back as you left me with the only key.Its not a ficade of yours as you used to do them.No this time its anything but that.Id like to think the little girl befriended 2 of us that day and we no longer ever doubted the possibility of ghosts from that point onward.Well not that i ever did prior to this event but i never imagined id be moving into my dream house and its a proper term here to say.

Paint and Carpet Colors.. INTERIOR DESIGNERS HELP? Me and my boyfriend are moving back into his parents house at the end of the month. We will be staying in a normal size bedroom. Am I rushing in to everything too fast? Hi, sorry if this is long in advance and thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to read and answer it :) Since my Mum got sick and died, I have been thinking about what *I* want out of life, and what I want to do with my life. So I have been looking through real estate just in case I found an apartment/unit or small house for cheap and I looked up a tiny town near the Snowy Mountains (Australian’s might know where that is, it’s like 6 hours from Sydney) and ironically our old house was for sale, we moved out of it when I was 2 after my dad died and moved to Sydney. I have always wanted to move back there (we go down there every winter for 3 weeks on a ski holiday) and the house is very cheap too (needs a lot done to it, but it’s livable). Anyway seeing as it is coming in to winter here, I thought that if I did decide to move down there, I could easily get a job at one of the ski resorts and teach/help small kids to ski or snowboard (I have been doing both for as long as I can remember) and seeing as my godfather lives there and co-owns the Thredbo resort, I’m pretty sure he could figure out something for me to do. Anyway, after winter and after the ski season is over, I can work in a family friends work (he owns – what is now a hotel – but owns a ski hire shop) and he called last night offering his condolences about my mum, so while he was on the phone I asked him about his shop and he said he always knew I would call up one day about it and that there would *always* be a job there for me. Anyway, just working in his shop wouldn’t pay for rent on a house or wouldn’t pay to keep a house, so I also called up one of our closest family friends who owns the general store in the town I want to move to and also lives across the road from our old house, and she said that she is always looking for more people to help her run the store, because it’s such a small town, not many people want to work in the general store. As far as schooling goes, I can finish out this year at the local high school and do my school certificate, then see if I want to go through to year 12, if I do and decide I want to go to UNI, there is one not too far away, but if I don’t I can do a full course in becoming a ski and snowboard instructor and then after 2 years of working in Australia and New Zealand, I can go to other countries when it is winter there and teach there, there is potentially a lot of money in that. But if I decide to stay here in Sydney (not really where I pictured my life anyway, I don’t like the city), I will have to live with my grandma and my two sisters, in my grandmas two bedroom flat…But one of my sisters is also looking to move out after this year, but wants to stay in Sydney. Also if I decide to stay in Sydney, I wont have to move schools (not that that is anything big for me) and I wont have to get a job, yet. However, UNI is pretty much set in stone for if I stay here, my grandma wants me to go to UNI and has offered to pay for it, the only thing is, I cant think of anything I really want to do at UNI, I would probably study art and design…I don’t know. And finally, if I decide to stay in Sydney, I will have to move out within 3 years probably anyway and housing is A LOT more expensive here, being in an expensive area and very close to Sydney City. I realize I make mistakes, I am not perfect, nor will I ever be perfect. However, over time, I know things become repetitious and the mistakes become fewer as it becomes instinct. I am an honest person and loyal to who I am with. I believe I'm a comfortable person to be around and professional, yet easy going with your clients. I help out in different ways when I am able. I love working for you and your company, no doubt about that. You're a great boss to have. Very kind and thoughtful. I do not expect to work for you and become a millionaire, but I need my basic living expenses met. Child support is not guaranteed, nor is graphic design. Are modern home designers exhibitionists? The wife and I have been searching new homes, and floor plans to possibly build our own home. The latest trend seems to be a huge master bathroom with the walk-in shower and the large tub, which we like. The problem is that it seems like 90% of these newer homes have no doors on the master bathrooms. If someone is buying a 3 or 4 bedroom house, it is more than likely that they would have children. Why, then, would you not want a door on your bathroom? If I don't shut the door on the bathroom, my daughter will follow me right in. So, when I am taking a shower, going to the bathroom, or getting dressed, I close and lock the door. Why would I want a bathroom where I would have no privacy at all in the shower? Who would want their kids to be able to come strolling into the bathroom in the middle of a shower or bath? I know it's no big deal to put a door on or have the house built with a door, but I just wonder why they design like this in the first place. That link didnt work. ICoE: True, but then if there is an emergency, and the wife is at the store or something, I would not be able to hear the kids knock or shout. But I have to agree, Im not crazy about buying a house like this. The thing is, almost all of the new homes or new home floorplans we browse have this feature. I've looked at several 2006-2008 homes that are actually on the market, not models, that have this, and its frustrating. The door isnt so hard to put in, but I also find that a majority of homes have an arched doorway there which makes it even more expensive to fix.

Octuplet's mom on food stamps? CNN just said Nadya Suleman, the mother of the octuplets born last month, gets $490 a month in food stamps. Her parents said they pay her bills and she doesnt contribute any income to the raising of ther other 6th kids by invertro...she has a small 2 bedroom house already. How is a un employed women supposed to pay for 14 kids all under 7 yrs old? her 1st three were born so early they have problems. cnn says "Three of her first children also get federal supplemental security income because they are disabled," get this ""In Nadya's view, the money that she gets from the food stamp program ... and the resources disabilities payments she gets for her three children are not welfare," he said. "They are part of programs designed to help people with need, and she does not see that as welfare." and During the interview with Curry, Suleman said, "I'm not receiving help from the government. Help room makeover please help? Can anyone please help me with my bedroom? I really want to make it over I am 14 years old I don t want anything that looks like a kids room. However I don't want something plain or to dark. I have a really tiny room so that might effect the size appearance. I'm a bit modern, elegant mixed together. I'd like to try many things new. (AP) — An 11-year-old boy shot his father's pregnant girlfriend in the back of the head while she was lying in bed in their western Pennsylvania farmhouse, then got on the school bus and went to school, authorities said Saturday. Jordan Brown was charged Saturday as an adult in the shooting death of 26-year-old Kenzie Marie Houk, who was 8 months pregnant, Lawrence County District Attorney John Bongivengo said at a news conference. Houk's family and friends, who gathered at her parents' house Saturday night, told The Associated Press that Houk had had problems with the boy in the past. "There was an issue with jealousy. He told my son stuff," said Houk's brother-in-law, Jason Kraner, 34. "He actually told my son that he wanted to do that to her." Brown, the son of Houk's live-in boyfriend, was charged with criminal homicide and criminal homicide of an unborn child, Bongivengo said. He was being held in Lawrence County Jail. A preliminary hearing is set for Thursday. The fifth-grader was picked up from school Friday by Pennsylvania State Police, who found Houk's body after her 4-year-old daughter told tree cutters on the property that she thought her mother was dead, Bongivengo said. The boy had told police there was a suspicious black truck on the property that morning, causing investigators to look into a false lead for about five hours, he said. Inconsistencies in Brown's description of the vehicle led police to re-interview the victim's 7-year-old daughter, who implicated the boy in the killing, Bongivengo said. "She didn't actually eyewitness the shooting. She saw him with what she believed to be a shotgun and heard a loud bang," Bongivengo said, adding that the weapon, a youth model 20-gauge shotgun, was found in what police believed was the boy's bedroom. The shotgun, which apparently belonged to Brown, is designed for children and such weapons do not have to be registered, Bongivengo said. Brown's attorney, Dennis Elisco, said the evidence points to the gunshot wound being "consistent" with the boy's hunting gun, but he wanted to see stronger proof that it was Brown's. "I believe Jordan did not do this and I'm looking forward to seeing the physical evidence to see if it matches with what I think happened," he said Saturday after meeting with the boy in jail. The attorney also said he met with the boy's father, Christopher Brown, and planned to file a motion Monday to have the boy released on bail and move the case to juvenile court. The attorney said Christopher Brown was "in a state of actual shock and disbelief." There was no indication the boy had a problem with Houk, he added. "This is a tragic, extremely tragic situation, and it's way too early to have any substantive comment," Elisco said. Police said they had no motive for the shooting, and Bongivengo would not say whether the boy confessed. "An 11-year-old kid — what would give him the motive to shoot someone?" Houk's father, Jack, told the AP. "Maybe he was just jealous of my daughter and the baby and thought he would be overpowered." Jack Houk said the family had gathered at his home in nearby New Castle on Thursday night to celebrate his 4-year-old granddaughter's birthday. Everyone was excited about the pending birth of his daughter's baby, he said. "That's the last time I seen her, my daughter," Jack Houk said. He said Brown was raised by his father and grandmother. Houk and the boy's father had been together since May 2008 and were engaged at Christmas, her father said. Math is at Work in Interior Design How is math in interior design? We interview different people and figured out the math is one of the biggest parts for interior design. The first way that math is used in interior design is by finding the different measurements of the room. Interior designers use the following units of measurement; feet, inches, yards (for fabrics) and square footage. When you measure the area of the walls that is when you will use square footage. To find the square footage of a room you need to multiply the length of a wall by the width. We learned this from a person at Heritage Design Concierge who we spoke to on October 9th, 2008. Another way that math is used in interior design is in the plan view. As we learned from Erickson Design Associate on October 9th, 2008, everyone needs room. This would be called proximity. Proximity shows how much space a person needs, it also relates to anthropometric matter. Anthropometric matter is wheter the person is an adult, a kid, or how big they are. You need to know this to find out how much space you need for the person or people who will be living in it. You need to measure the space in the room so you know how to design it so that it is suitable for them to live in it. Most interior designers will have a plan view for the room. The plan view shows how your going to design the room for the person/people. You use math in this by getting good measurements for the room and furniture. This is one of the biggest parts of interior design using measurements. A third way that math is used in interior design is in putting furniture, and other things in the room. First you need to find what furniture your looking for and measure it. Write that down on a piece of paper and bring it back to the room you are designing. Find out if it fits in the room by measuring the area you were going to but it in. You will mostly do that for everything you are putting in there. You are only going to be estimating with the wall paper and floors. They do not require exact measurements. For example, say with the floors you need 233 square feet for the master bedroom, you would get 300 square feet. This is because there might be tricky edges along the way and you would have extra for that because you don’t know how much extra you need. That would be estimating. Now, for fitting in other objects, like window treatments you first of all need to find out how big the window is. After finding out that you need to measure the window treatments you want to make sure they will fit correctly. Find the length and width of the windows using inches. Then it should all be easy to find the right window treatments. Lastly, for the paint on the walls, you will find the square footage of the wall. So say the square footage for the wall is 100 square feet, you would find a paint bucket that can fit a wall for 100 square feet. All in all for interior design you use a lot of math. It is so important when designing a room that you do the calculations correctly. Otherwise everything could go wrong. why there are more bands & artists/musicians nowadays than in the past? even some "bedroom musicians" , or "Myspace musicians"! it's like almost every young person/kid in Generation X or Y era would love to, and can make beats, music, and even want to form bands & be musicians , even though they should know that this means there is now a HELL lot of competitions in music industry , not to mention how HARD the music industry's situation right now caused by robust digital downloads, mp3, etc. why do these young people keep wanna doing it? ie: hence, there are more bands, artists and musicians nowadays than ever in the past, IMHO. also, related to this, i've often heard how my parents' generation kept viewing us youth nowadays as "very spoiled" generation, "doing useless things" like creating music that will just be "wasted in another year or 2" by competitions, etc; instead of thinking about creating hard-physical business & big-money business like factory, manufacturing, etc! to them (generation baby boomer/our parents' generation) , it seems that Music, animation, design , "art/creative" stuff like that that we often do, is just "waste of time" and also "UNproductive" , or not a "BIG business" ! have any of you ever heard (or got accused) of this?.. or is it just me?

HELP! All Interior Designers!! Hey! I love designing and I need some help redesigning my bedroom. Here is an idea of what I want: * I want it to have that beachy and breezy feel without being you know kid tropical or looking cheap. Can you give me some tips? What Should I Do To My Room? I've had the same bedroom since i was like 7 or 8. and i mean it doesn't look like a little kid room it just doesn't look like ME. it's just a normal square room closet on one wall door to get in on the other and 2 window on the other 2 walls. umm i don't really know room styles but i know i want bright colors! but not clashing im preppy but i also want a little edge to it but not like punk or anything. i was thinking pink and orange but i didn't like a design for it. so what do you think i should do?? How can I get better at drawing my own Cartoon Characters? I used to be interested in Game Designing but I decided to go for Cartoons and Cartoon Animation because when ever I do Game Designing it takes allot of practice and Math so does Drawing Cartoons but when ever I want to do Game Designing I can see me giving it up because its *TOO* Hard, Well back to the Subject. Is there any sites other than youtube on how I can get better at drawing my own Cartoons and Cartoon Characters? I would want to be able to make my own Cartoon story one day and I really love to draw ever since I was a kid I always drawn in Elementary School and I wanted to put my drawings into Cartoon Form and I would like to know how I can get better at Drawing because I would like to get my drawing skills up and I really like to draw. What makes me mad is everytime I try to draw my own Cartoon Character from my mind I make up, I loose focus on it by distractions and I don't even have a desk in my room to practice drawing in my bedroom because I know practice makes perfect but does anyone know any tips on how I can remember my own Cartoon Characters in my mind that I can draw? And can anyone tell me how I can draw landscapes and buildings? It would be really helpful and I am getting really interested into 2D/Cartoon Animation. Like I said, I really like to draw and I don't want to try something that I know I can't on Game Designing but I would like to try out Cartoons instead and if I like it I will go with it and maybe make my own Cartoon Series if possible, Any help would be nice. And anyone who has good information will get the best answer. And if anyone knows any site to know how to animate my Cartoons would be helpful also, Then when I learn about Animation I will work my way up with programs, I think Animation and Drawing Cartoons is really fun. I am 17 years old and I like to draw and play video games XD.
