Teenage bedroom design ideas! Please.? Hi! Okay, so I have a really small room, a single bed, empty white walls, an in-built wardrobe, a tv stand & a tv, and a keyboard in that room! Honestly, I don't want to disturb my parents and ask them to buy me some furniture or anything. So can anyone help me, what are some good designs for this really small room of mine, where it won't cost money. I hardly ever use my keyboard, so I wouldn't mind moving that out of my room! I just feel that it's very dull, and as a teenager I want some 'oomph' to it, if you know what I mean! Can anyone suggest some ideas or designs? Please nothing about buying furniture and all that, unless it's something simple I can make myself, but not to complicated as I'm only a teenage girl! p.s I'm not into all that pink and purple colours! Any ideas on how to design a teenage girls bedroom? So my room has been white since forever and ive finally decided that i want to paint and design it. I have one idea that i'm working with right now, which is to cover my ceiling in quotes, but i dont know what the base color should be and then what the wall colors should be so that it all will look good together when finished. I'm more into the gothic stuff so im leaning towards dark colors, although i was thinking painting the ceiling black and the walls light to medium purple. Cool teenage girl bedroom ideas? My room is pretty big, one wall is a very deep purple, one wall is a light purple, and two walls are a very bright turquoise/teal color. I have a full bed with a retro-ish bedspread that has lime green, purple, teal, light blue, and dark blue squares and polkadots. A big white bookshelf is across from the bed and a tall white and tan desk is next to it with a matching stool. I have a dresser and bedside table that I want to paint but can you give me ideas? Bedroom ideas for teenage girl? Hi everyone! I have a serious crisis- I can't decide what colour to paint my room! I saw someone who's painted their room with black and white stripes on the bed wall, and the rest white, but my parents think it would look weird if I do it on all the walls. I want to put posters on my walls too but on the opposite side of my bed, and if that wall is just plain white... it's just plain. At first, i wanted to paint my room a nice lavender. But my cousin just had to go and paint her room the same colour I wanted. Soooo. I can't paint it that colour. how would a teenage girl go about designing her own bedroom? i'm a teenager looking to design a bedroom that's completely me. i love books and writing and would like to incorperate those somehow into the desgin. I love those old fashioned dark wood libraries and offices with the leather chairs, it just gives a great reading atmosphere to me. dark, warm colors are also very inviting. how can i get my ideas out of my head? and what about controling budget costs? any advice would be appreciated!

How do I design an original, creative bedroom theme? My family is moving into a new house, and my future room is open, spacious, well-lit- and bright red. I'm planning to re-design the room and the options are endless, but I haven't settled upon a single theme or plan yet. I've spent weeks searching countless websites and so far nothing has really caught my eye- the traditional bedroom designs for teenage girls just don't appeal to me. (PBteen and WakeupFrankie = exactly what I'm looking to avoid.) Instead of building the room off of a color or piece of furniture, the idea of a theme appeals more to me. Being a teenager, my room should still be fun but also be classy, elegant, and have that certain something that makes it original. Some things I have in mind are: -Black and white theme (framed b/w photography, one black wall, broad-striped wallpaper) -Cafe theme (found this one here on Yahoo!Answers, potentially great idea) -Moroccan theme (would be very interesting, and colorful) -Japanese Sado theme (not too sure how to go about this, but could be a very pleasant room) Any design tips or elaboration of the above ideas (or even new ideas) would be highly welcomed and appreciated. Moving and decorating my new bedroom for a teenage girl? Ideas? Okay so we are moving to a new house and I really want to plan it out in advance. If anyone has some good ideas that would be great. Teenage girl bedroom designs? okay. so I'm moving soon. like tommarrow! Yeah. And I'm freaking out. I still haven't decided how I want my bedroom. I'm a 15 year old girl. Ideas for painting a teenage girl's bedroom? I've been wanting to paint my room an aquamarine-ish color or turquoise. Well, some sort of light blue. However, I didn't want it to be just solid. I have fitted wardrobes right down 1 side of the room. (it has 3 doors to 2 wardrbes,a desk and above the desk 3 small cupbords i also have my single bed on the other side wich leeves me just over 2ft between the bed and wardrobe and 3ft between the bottom of my bed and the door. theres also a plain cupbord along the side of that wall (between the bed and dooor) My room is currently pink with playboy furniture....my tv and laptop sits on my desk. i have a wooden floor i want to repaint my room a differnt colour. i was thinking the walls white with lots of colourful pictures and furniture so i can put random colours everywhere. room decoration ideas for a teenage girl's room? the room i am working with is quite old and unfortunately i have to use the furniture in it (low budget). It's deep mahogany which i hate! there's an en suite on to the room and its painted in a really calming blue which i really like. Can anyone help me find some cool design ideas for sliding closet doors? Specifically, I saw (in passing) an episode of HGTV's Divine Design with Candice Olson where she redoes a basement for a teenage boy who used to share a room with his sister in the family's 2 bedroom home. The basement had to serve the purpose of a bedroom, not only the teenage boy, but also as a family room for everyone. From what I saw, the closets were soft, metallic colors-- silver, light blue/teal, opal, tans, that were in various sizes of squares that they adhered to the doors. I believe they also put some kind of iridescent top coating over the door to finish it and make it pop even more. Has anyone seen this episode? I searched the HGTV site>Divine Design page and could not find it. I would appreciate a link to that information, specifically, as well as any other cool ideas to dress up a boring closet door. How could you design a bedroom that a boy and girl share? I am a teenage girl sharing a bedroom with kid brother. I hate it but my parents just cant afford to get us our own private rooms. Which is understandable. So I really, really want to redo our room but can't find any unisex decorating ideas that aren't aimed at really little kids. This is like a 14 year old freshman girl and a 10 year old, 4th grade boy, both very mature. We want something that will make the room a pleasant, comfortable space for both of us. I want my room to scream ME (: im a teenage girl and although i will be going off to college in the next 2-3 years, id like to make my room a reflection of me in the meantime. room crisis!!!? i'm taking an interior design class and i have to answer a question for a "client". a teenage girl has a large, colorful bedroom. one small wall is a hot pink, the small one with a window is a medium blue, a main wall is a rich purple (not pinkish or bluish) and the other main wall is a deep, bright green. all of the walls have a yellow and an orange stripe running horizontally around the room. she loves the room, but wants to tone it down a bit WITHOUT repainting it. i need specifics and i'm out of ideas so....yeah.... Interior Design Advice I am a teenage boy with a large bedroom. At the moment it is painted two shades of blue. I have black-brown furniture and a wooden floor. I have quite a lot of natural light. I would like to change the colours of my walls but am struggling for inspiration. I like grey tones, but on their own I think that they look boring and dull. I think I would like three of the 4 walls to be a simple, light tone and the 4th to be a bold colour. Any Ideas??
