I have a new elegant cream colored carpet in the master bedroom, what color should I paint the walls? I want a dramatic sexy look for the master bedroom, what paint color can I use on the walls with my cream colored carpet?
What colors go with....in our master bedroom? We are decorating our master bedroom. We want to paint, get curtains, new bedspread and visuals. We are thinking of painting it a maroon(ish)color? or possibly a Hunter Green color? What color would go good with a Maroon painted room and what color would go with a Hunter Green painted room? Coordinating paint in master bedroom with bathroom? I am painting my bathroom and am in the process of picking out colors. Eventually I would also like to paint my bedroom with an accent wall. (Currently it is all white) The painter suggested I coordinate my master bathroom color with my accent wall in the bedroom. Is it okay to paint the master bedroom the same color as the master bathroom? Both of these rooms are painted a chocolate brown color, which I really like. In the bedroom, my accent color is green. I am having no problem with living room or guest bedroom but when it comes to the master bedroom I have a mind block. Our house is backed with several trees and we have nice visibility from our living as well as bedrooms. Feng shui in my master bedroom? Currently when you walk into the bedroom you face the foot of the bed. In what I have gathered from reading about Feng Shui this is not where you want your bed. Can it be on the same wall as the door? Is the color yellow ok for a bedroom? Should the tv be out of the bedroom? What if it is in a cabinet with doors that shut? is it true not to have mirrors in the bedroom? If there is a bathroom connected to the bedroom should it be curtained off from the bedroom? I am having some issues with decorating my master bedroom. Help!? I have a rather large space (17x17 ft) with a vaulted ceiling that angles up and creates a plant shelf above the door to the master bath. I would like some suggestions on what to do with this shelf area. It is about 12 ft long and 4 ft deep and is about 9 ft from the floor and is 5 ft tall. I would say that our style is "transitional" not too contemporary and not too traditional. Also I am having trouble with the color scheme. Our furniture is dark cherry, our bedding is khaki and creme striped and the carpet is beige. The walls are currently khaki and all of the neutrals are starting to get to me!! I am getting new carpeting and have a dilemma? I live in a condo with the bedrooms off the main living space. I was originally thinking of extending the living room carpet in the hallway going to the master bath, and putting a plush in the master bedroom, but it really is all one room with a hallway leading to the master bath. Would it look weird to have two different carpets in the same space? Should I just go all one carpet for the whole place? how to decide on the color to paint a master bedroom and bath? i realize that this all boils down to personal choice but i'm stuck between two colors. First off, let me give you an idea of what i've got going on in my bedroom/bath. My bedroom furniture is all dark wood (mahogany I think), with brushed nickel hardware. All the trim is painted white. In my bathroom, the vanity and everything is white except for a wooden dresser that has an espresso finish with brushed nickel hardware. I have a few black picture frames in both rooms along with some light aqua accents. I'm trying to decide between a soft, grayish green or a warm darker tan. These are Sherwin Williams colors, one is called Mega Greige and the other is called Sea Salt. Thank you.

Well the room's 17 x 14 feet in size and it has a sliding door at the other end as a window. Tips on making a small bedroom appear larger? I recently purchased my first home and am in the processing of decorating. My master bedroom is a bit smaller than previously (at my apartment). My bed is queen sized so it tend to take up a lot of room so I am looking for some tips to make the room appear larger. Getting rid of the bed is not an option right now because I don't have the money to replace it. How do I bring master bathroom colors scheme into master bedroom, vice versa? Problem is that the house I am renting: the master bathroom has dark green tile (floor), white counter/cabinets, white walls with gardenia floral border (at top, near ceiling). Then the master bedroom has ugly brown carpet, white walls and I already have an iron sleigh bed, jaqaurd bedding with gold/brown tones. I was thinking of using a linen/khaki colored towels & rugs in bathroom since it has a touch of that color in the border, but my bedroom is so large I know I need to paint the walls too. What color would you paint our master bedroom? I'm trying to work with a comforter set given to us by my Mother-in-Law. It's a pretty dark blue and grayish blue pattern, kind of a grand floral design. Very elegant. The bedskirt and sheets are a darkish gray blue and white. Our headboard and furniture is a medium cherry wood. I always wanted to paint our room a deep burgundy, but I think it'll look weird with the bedding. I think painting the walls white is too boring and blue just seems like it would be "blue-overkill". The hall that leads to our room is a muted "army" green. The doors and trim are white. Haven't picked window treatments yet. Suggestions??? I'm very open to ideas. Maybe even wall paper? What colors should i paint my house? It is an old 145 year old house, and has this beustiful grand room that is 20 feet tall, and has crown molding at the top. Should I use primer with light colors? I bought a new house with off-white (slightly yellowish) walls. We are now planning to paint the house in stages with very light colors (choosing from the lightest three shades on those color bar samplers that they have for free at Home Depot). My first project is the master bedroom/bathroom with the lightest shade of blue on the sampler card. I have no idea what kind of paint was used by the builder, but I know that we have bought two gallons of a "super washable" flat paint base with the color already mixed. Do I need primer for this project or for the other projects with one or two shades darker in green, purple, and red? As a side question: The paint can says to mix 1 (or 1/2?) pint of water per gallon and to wet the roller before dipping it in the paint. Did the store already added the water when they mixed the colors, or do I need to do that in addition to what the store did to make the paint? Does the roller need water before every paint dip? Does the brush need water? I think that I'm starting to understand better about the purpose of primer, but I still have a question about reds. Some people seem to think that red is a special color requiring primer. I doubt quite understand if it has to do with painting over red with another color (similar shades), painting red over another color (similar shades), or painting different shades or kinds of reds on top of each other. Are reds special, and if so, why?
What Colors To Paint Our New Home? Me and my husband just proudly bought our first home and we are looking for advice on paint colors. What is Nice and refreshing, yet will not outdate. We want to be quite colorful (not just white) without being 'Oh My' (if you know what i mean).
