Decorating my Master bedroom......... ideas plzzzzzzzzzzzzz? I want to decorate my bedroom to give it spa theme.I have a big rectangular shaped bedroom.I am ready to spend upto 500 dollars for it. I have black bed and headboard ,black sidetables, 1 black shelf. Which color should I paint the wall? What color bedding set should I buy? What little things should I add to give that spa theme.Pls give ur ideas.
Does anyone have any pictures of a purple theme master bedroom? Do any of you have a purple bedroom? Like more of a violet purple rather than lilac. I need some decorating ideas and I'm at a loss :/ I'm thinking of purple walls and white trim ad molding ... what color accessories should I have?
decorating master bedroom? okay this may a hard one to figure out...as I need to ask because of the trouble I am finding myself! Our bedroom is painted a medium taupe. (light brown for those that wonder what taupe is!) The trim and molding is white. The theme is a relaxed beach feel. There is a hallway in the room that leads to the master bath and I painted that hall a light ocean blue. The blue matches the paintings in the room which are that of a beach and ocean. We are looking for a comforter set. I don't want to have too much brown (our bed set and dresser set are dark wood). I also don't want blue since there is blue in the paintings against the taupe. (you following me so far? ha....) Anyone have ideas of a good color to accent taupe(light brown) and a light blue? We can't have white comforters due to pets. Would a dark red comforter set work and brown sheets? Thanks!
Is it okay to paint the master bedroom the same color as the master bathroom? Both of these rooms are painted a chocolate brown color, which I really like. In the bedroom, my accent color is green. In the bathroom it is aqua blue/turqoise. I don't know the "rules" in decorating these rooms. Just want to make sure it is okay to keep going with this decorating theme.
Decorating a bathroom to go with a patriotic bedroom? I'm moving into a new house and am decorating my bedroom in a patriotic/americana type theme. I don't want to copy that in the master bathroom but I would like some ideas on what would look good with that. Thanks for all ideas! The walls are nuetral and the towel racks and floor are all wood. There is a garden tub in one corner, a stand up shower in the other and two separate vanities. Thank you bookluvr! You really caught the "I'm not remodeling, I'm decorating" idea. I loved the website too! Thanks!
Deep Purple and Gold or Deep Red and Gold for Master Bedroom? Needing a lil help for our master bedroom, Im torn as to whether we should go with a deep purple and gold or deep red and gold for bedding, curtains and accents.....our bedroom is already painted a deep chocolate color which I love just needing help on the rest of it to pull it all together!! Our house is decorated/designed in tuscan theme so we have a lot of reds, golds and brown throughout. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!!!
How should I decorate my Master Bedroom?? Ok, so I just moved into a condo with my longtime beau and he said he was going to leave the decorating, painting, and furnishing up to me (he's so sweet). So, everything looks great so far. The livingroom is a creamy off white color, same as the kitchen and the hallway. My son's bedroom is blue. The bathroom is white. When it came to our bedroom, I said I wanted an exotic theme. Island decor, plants, etc. The carpet is a sandy color with specs of blue, red, green, and yellow. I painted the walls green, and it is a mighty cactus green. The room is rather large and has white trim. He asked if I was sure I knew what I was doing, and I said, "yes, of course!' Well, I'm second guessing my idea...so do you have any??? We will be buying the furniture accordingly...but I refuse to repaint. HELP!
HELP wanted for decorating my main bedroom PLEASE!!!? I am wanting to decorate my master bedroom. It is quite a large bedroom with high ceilings. I have dark wooden window surround with dark wooden blinds. I also have wooden flooring that isnt dark but not as light as oak. I am wanting to build my own wardrobes but dont know what colour to go for or should i just go for mirrored? I really fancy black, grey and silver as my theme but would it go with the wood? or a dark brown with a colour? i have to have the dark colour to compromise with my partner but i can have another colour for me. any suggestions on anything would be a massive help. thanks very much
How should I decorate my master bedroom? I have an Ashley North Shore sleigh bed and nightstands and am looking for decorating ideas. My husband and I both like antique type looks. I'm thinking about something Victorian or Renaissance for the theme, but am not sure exactly what colors, bedding, window treatments, etc would go well with these ideas. I need to end up with something that isn't overly feminine but still authentic to the time periods. The link to see the furniture is here. http://www.furniturexo.com/North-Shore-Sleigh-Bed-Bedroom-Set-p-36591.html and we will be getting the dresser and armoire sometime in the not-too-distant future. Thanks to all you creative home decorator types in advance! :)
Home Decorating Ideas? My Fiance and I recently purchased our first home together, but I'm having serious trouble when it comes to decorating it. I have the kitchen, dinning room, and guest bedrooms taken care of, but I am completely stumped when it comes to decorating my living room and master bedroom. Both the living and the master are neutral colored, earth tones, with a beige/off-white carpet, so I was hoping to stay in the more neutral color pallet with accent pillows for color? I don't like the really plushy look, and my Fiance and I both want a more modern/contemporary look/feel, but neither of us want the metal frames. I guess a sleek look? Young maybe? We don't want our friends coming over feeling like they've walked into Grandma's house. For our bedroom we really wanted a 'zen' theme. Simplistic, Asian-style, blacks with red accent maybe? We've an opening above the door leading from the master bedroom to the master bath that we'd like to play off of. (It looks like those arches at Japanese temples). Any suggestions on how I can decorate these two rooms? Wall art, furniture, bedspreads, etc.
Need Romantic Bedroom Ideas but not too girlish.? Just bought a new house and looking for some good decorating tips for my master bedroom. I am looking in the direction of shabby chic but my husband does not want anything too girlish or flowery. I just bought a set of white over stuffed chairs to place in front of the fireplace and the matching over sized ottoman. My bed frame is cherry and the carpet is beige with sort of a gold tone. The walls are painted a mocha. The Mantel is white and the painting over the fireplace is French and light. I have french doors to the balcony. I desperately need some tips on what do to make it both romantic and acceptable for a mans taste and my style. We have not touched the room since we moved because we can't agree on the theme. Help!!!!
I need decorating ideas for a bedroom .? Help anyone .? Okay so the room I'm in now is a master bed . But sadly I'm moving to another place and have to get a smaller room . All the furniture I have now is given to my mother because I know for a fact it won't fit in my new room. The size of my new room is 11-3 x 10-0 Okay so I went and bout a full bed, now I don't plan on buying a furniture . Maybe just a night stand I'm not sure if that would fit. So these are the themes I'm going for: Pink black and white are the main colors . My walls will be pink My bed is white The comferter sheets will be a zebra print And I will also but another comferter sheet that's blue pink and white stripes . Now I just need ideas to touch it up .? By the way I'm on a budget of $100
Color schemes for guest bedroom? I'm decorating my new house, and I'm trying to figure out how to do my guest bedroom. My guest bathroom is going to be a simple black and white theme with red accents. It's an overdone theme, but it's the theme my bathroom is currently in at my apartment, and I'd like to do something new in my master bath in my house. I have no idea what to do with the guest bedroom. I don't want it to be bland, but I don't want it to be completely overwhelming for my guests either. The walls are white, and I was going to leave them white. The carpet is navy blue. My master bedroom is going to be done in white and yellow accents. I wasn't sure about using the same scheme for the guest room too, but I wanted others opinions. I'm open to painting, but not changing the carpet. It's out of budget for the time being. I've been living in an apartment for 3 years and have never really been able to decorate. Can anyone help? I have a few extra things that I got as gifts when I moved out, and they are, like a sage green. I have curtains and a few vases.
Decorating my new room please help!!!? Hi so i'm moving in about a month to a condo. my room is pretty big and i want something different. i'm going to use my bed-set still. is tan with chocolate brown, lime green, and pink 70s flowers(the petals are tear drop shaped oh and theres a cream one too!). i love fashion and wanted to play with that theme. what could a do to decorate it? what theme should i go with? thanks alot! heres the floor plan.... my room is the one that says just bedroom.(not the master...) http://villagecommunities.com/communities/commFloorplan.cfm?communityID=6
What theme for bedrooms? I am planning on moving soon to a three bedroom house and want the bedrooms to be different. I live alone for now I'm only 21 and am kind of obsessing over decorating my first house. Anyways I've come up with a lot of ideas that would look cool I think I just want to know other people's opinions/suggestions. Feel free to add ideas :) For my bedroom (Master) - I want to stick with neutral colors with maybe a bright paisley comforter Like this maybe http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=121723& Light gray walls with white trim and dark wood floors. For spare bedroom #1 - Tans/browns and maybe a little green for more of an earthy room. Spare bedroom #2 - A music themed room. Maybe one red accent wall with a grey textured wallpaper section and the rest of the walls white or gray. Then decorate it with rolling stones magazine covers behind the headboard and put my piano in this room with maybe some red leather chairs. I've also thought about making one room sort of beach themed. With wicker decorations and light blues and cream colors. Tell me what you think... or pick what themes you would do if you had a clean slate. What theme is overdone? And both rooms wouldn't really be a theme I guess just a color scheme. The music one was the only really themed one. And an office would be a good idea too. A beach themed office sounds so relaxing.
neat ideas for a huge bedroom? okay well, since my parents got a divorce and my mom moved out i now have her old master bedroom. this room is huge, but i'm kind of lost on how i should decorate it. i don't really want anything funky, more of just a calm and relaxing place to contemplate and hang out in. me and my friends are going to raise some money haha so it will be completed for my birthday. i'm really just asking for some nice ideas on what to do with the large amount of space and some nice wall color ideas, or maybe like a theme? well im fourteen and i want something that will last me through all of highschool i like photography too haha share with me your thoughts on this :) i have things like white book shelf, white dresser, white night stand i just need help with like the colors, i like a cool and refreshing kind of mood, like maybe some teal or greenish colors or black and white just nice things :) any answers are welcome
Decorating advice...what piece of furniture would look good? I am redecorating my master bedroom, and can't figure out what to put in the space where the dresser previously was. The is 15' by 18'. The furniture is an oak set finished with a honey colored varnish. There is a queen size bed, an entertainment center, an armoir, and 2 night tables. We removed the dresser, because it was too big and didn't go with the rest of the furniture. Since we have a walk in closet and an armoir, we don't really need a dresser. What would look good in a 10' space? The theme of the room (bed spread, curtains, and artwork) would lean toward being elegant.
How to decorate and design a Old Hollywood/Paris themed bedroom.? I am 14 and I want to redo my bedroom. I have the master bedroom so I have more room! I want my room to be like an Old Hollywood/Paris theme. I think it feels romantic and charming. I painted my walls pink but they look to kiddish. I'm thinking about doing wallpaper on two walls, but I don't know what pattern I would do. I have all white furniture. I was also looking for a vanity for a cheap price but something that would be sturdy and last long. It has to be white. I have been trying to find a chandelier to put in my closet, but all the ones that I have found are way to expensive. I was thinking about putting like pictures of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn on the walls. Any ideas for paint color, decor, chandeliers, furniture, wallpaper?
How do I become a interior designer on TV? okay, so i am 10 almost 11, so i know at this point you are thinking " keep dreaming, no way you are getting a job like that" but i am really good! i made a room thing today with pictures of different furniture to make a master bedroom a beach theme, and it is ah-mazing! so i am wondering if i can help out with the decorating on like clean house, Extreme Makeover- home Edition or anything like that. obviously i don't want to be the star, cause that would be a horrible show 9who would want to watch a 10 year old) but i would want to help. i can't decorate my own house because my family moved in when i was a baby, so the decorating is done, and i like modern house decorations, yet my mom isn't a fan of that. so how can i become an interior designer, or even an actress on disneyc hannel or something- ( i know, i know random.)
Will you share your ideas for decorating an empty wall? I have an empty wall in my master bedroom and I don't know what to do with it. There really isn't any room to put furniture against it. It is on the south side of the house w/ a small window. It's a LOOOOONG wall too... The bed is close-by and there is enough space to walk back and forth to the bathroom. My walls are a buttery yellow and the theme of our room is shabby chic/cottage style....If you have any ideas or suggestions, please share them w/ me...it is driving me craaaaaazy....!!! :o) Thanks!!!
What colors should I paint my house? I need help deciding on what colors to paint my house! It is 3 bedroom, 2 Bath I would like to paint my kitchen a yellow color, and have a butterfly theme. I would like to paint something purple, maybe the master bath and one spare bedroom? And I would like to paint the smaller bathroom and maybe the other spare bedroom a blue color. That leaves me the master bedroom, living room, and hallway. I was thinking a mocha color? i dont really know. Here is a sample of the colors that i would like to have: http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x272/amyadams1021/paint.png Also if I paint my living and bedroom mocha how could I decorate it? will i be limited in what kind of furniture or comforter that will match?? I am open to more suggestions and decoration themes. I would like to have purple, yellow, and the aqua blue somewhere in my house, though! Also if you have links please include them, so i can print out and show my husband! Thanks!
Beach Theme Decorating? I always get depressed around wintertime. So, Ive started to redecorate my bedroom like one you would find in a beach house. Specifically, these are the rooms I'm trying to imitate, on opposite sides of the same vacation beach house: http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z415/obxbeachgoer/blueroom.jpg The master BR, looking out over the beach. Decorations were minimal because the main focal point is the beach outside the window, which I obviously do not have in my home. http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z415/obxbeachgoer/bluestreetside.jpg Another blue room facing the street. Again, minimal decorations, no candles/fragrances, and lots of air conditioning. How can I get the look of these rooms without any major renovations/ furniture changes?
Trying to start an old movie collection? I am trying to start an old movie collection. I am 26 so i don't know much about old movies, just the ones i catch on TCM. I am looking for movies on DVD because i do not have a VHS anymore. Any recommendations for good old movies to start my collection. I already have Breakfast At Tiffany's, Roman Holiday, and Suddenly Last Summer. I am about to order Funny Face and I already have many Shirley Temple Movies. I am not into war movies. Just love stories, musicals, comedy and horror. Remember i need DVD'S so please help. I am also adding a master bedroom in my home and would like to decorate my room in Classic movie theme, but i would like to know the movies and the people that i decorate with. Thanks for the help. The most info gets the best answer!
Crib placement, what is the best idea? Ok, so after the 20 week scan, we found out we were having a little boy and decorated the "nursery"( a small bedroom) with the Winnie the Pooh theme. I had originally planned to keep the crib in our master bedroom( as our room is very roomy) and just put things like a playard, lounge chair, baby swing or cradle in the baby's nursery, that way when people came to see the baby they wouldn't be huddled in our bedroom, the baby would have its own little play area. I am now 30 weeks along, and was trying to put the finishing touches on the baby registry and visualize where things would go. My question is, where should the crib go? I feel a little more comfortable knowing the baby is in the same room as me, but what is best? First time mom's to be and Mommy's: Where did you/ do you plan to put the baby's crib? In your room or in another?
Home Decorating: stick w/one theme throught whole house or is it overkill? My husband and I recently bought a 2005, 4bdrm, 3bath home in the Dallas metro area. We made the first floor office room into a small home gym, and the upstairs game room into my husband's home office (which he needs a ton of room as he works from home). kept the remaining bedrooms as guest bedrooms, both w/ Q-size beds. Eventually, we plan to move the servers elsewhere and convert the server room into a third bedroom. If we have a baby in the meantime, we will keep it in the master br w/ us at least until the child is three years old, but probably closer to five. I want a palm/date tree feel to the house. Not "tropical" feel in the sense of islands or "beaches", but more Middle Eastern/mediterannean feel. Would it be overkill to carry this theme throughout the house. We have ab 3.200 square foot home, with the MBR the only BR downstairs. Should I do something different upstairs? Or should I only keep this theme in the Living Areas downstairs? Pls chk links n add'l details My plans-- I'll have all of these tastefully framed. Any suggestions? I did this in about three consecutive hours and any specific suggestions (ie specific pictures rec'd by you for specific rooms) will be warmly recieved, even if I disagree. PLEASE OFFER YR OPINION--no more qualified than me or anyone else. PS my SO and I are srius animal lovers. House overall is very modern and accessible. We're picky and we love it. Kitchen modern, open to informal dining room/living room and adjacent to formal LR/DR. Painted good colors, no tacky wallpaper/borders. Informal LR has fireplace, also the doorway to the back patio/in-ground pool...Which is why we'd like to keep the painting over the mantle loose/ medit/Mid/\-East palmy, etc. to make a good transition. We are sick to death of the euro look. I loved Art Deco ad posters 10yrs ago when the yuppies still had wine/cigar labels on their wall. Much as I love it, its been run into the ground. No French Bistro scenes without spoon to gag myself plz. gCol=96AA4891E9EA319F&ui=433B35851B904BE69A52D8DE4ECB4997 CLICK THIS ONE, NOT THE FIRST ONE!!!http://www.art.com/asp/MyGallery/gallerylist-asp/_/gt--gl/posters.htm?gCol=96AA4891E9EA319F&ui=433B35851B904BE69A52D8DE4ECB4997
I'm moving in with my boyfriend next weekend? My boyfriend just bought a new 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bath apartment and he asked me to move in with him- and of course i said yes! He wants me to help decorate, and i have a plan for most of the rooms, but i need a theme for the master bedroom (our room). Because i don't want it too manly or too feminine. Also, we are able to paint. Also, what should i bring with me from my old apartment, besides the obvious such as toilet-trees? lol! also we are both 23 if that helps also, how do you like this shower curtain for the master bathroom: http://www.target.com/Harwich-Shower-Curtain-70x72/dp/B001QGH9AQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&searchView=grid5&pf_rd_r=0ESWZFK2WBQBJTS8M2WX&node=1038576&pf_rd_s=center-3&field_browse=1038576&searchSize=30&pf_rd_t=301&field_availability=-2&id=Harwich%20Shower%20Curtain%2070x72&refinementHistory=subjectbin%2Ctarget_com_age%2Ctarget_com_gender-bin%2Ctarget_com_character-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&searchKeywords=shower%20curtains&pf_rd_p=489944911&searchNodeID=1038576&pf_rd_i=0&field_launch-date=-1y&searchRank=relevancerank&searchPage=3&pf_rd_m=A1VC38T7YXB528&field_keywords=shower%20curtains
Beach or Animal Themed Room???? Can I have some ideas on how to decorate my room? I am moving into my parents master bedroom, and I am thinking of the theme being either the beach or an animal themed room. Can I have some ideas or links or ANYTHING for those themed rooms?? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you kittles for being friendly about teh animals getting old thing, and by the way tmlamora, I AM 10! So shut up about your stupid rude comments!!!
help me pick new rooms? okay well over the span of 3 hours i've gone from angry to sad to some what happy. i've found out i'm moving a town over. i was upset but i figured, why mope because there's nothing i can do about it so i might as well make the best of it. so my parents are basically bribing me to go. they said i get my choice of bedroom and nursery. and the interior decorator my mom is hiring will decorate my room and the baby's room. i'm showing you pictures of the new rooms so you can help me decide which rooms. i did not take these pictures myself. these are pictures i got off the riverside realty website. i'm not taking any credit for these pictures. i'm uploading them to my own photo bucket. this is because i really don't want to hear people accuse me of being a spoiled brat when they see the house, like most people tend to do. and i'm doing it for privacy reasons because i don't want people on here to know where i live. there are 4 bedrooms, not including the master bedroom. my parents have already decided the smallest will be the guest bedroom so i won't bother uploading the picture of it. each bedroom has it's own bathroom and walk in closet. they're basically the same except for set up and location. i'm uploading pictures of 3 rooms. one for me, one for my baby, and the other will most likely be another guest bedroom. bedroom 1: http://i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab89/leahxolovee/bed9.jpg i dont't really like this one because o the random sink in it i think i want that one to be the guest bedroom bedroom 2: http://i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab89/leahxolovee/bed1.jpg this one is nice looking. it overlooks the pool, pool house, and rest of the backyard. bedroom 3: http://i852.photobucket.com/albums/ab89/leahxolovee/bed2.jpg this bedroom is nice looking too. this also overlooks the pool, pool house, and the rest of the backyard. all of the bedrooms are in the same wing so i'd have easy access to my son's room. even though i usually make him sleep in the spare crib in my bedroom. so which room should i choose? and which should be the nursery for the baby? any ideas for colors, themes, other decorations? first answer- that's actually a pretty good idea i didn't even think of that! and i think i worded the questions poorly i need help choosing which should be my own bedroom AND choosing a different room to be the baby's nursery. Julie L - do you mean the bedrooms are big? or the house? how did you see the house? and it's okay, you're not being rude. and idk why there's a sink there. haha it's weird because there's a sink in the bathroom about a foot away... Katrina: yeah it's a suburb. what state are you in? Eva - i'm choosing new colors for the rooms anyway. because i'm not a big fan of the blue either =]
Would like help with bedding ideas!? I am about to get a king size bed and need some ideas on what I should choose. My husband doesn't want anything girly and wants another down comforter for the bed. I have thought about using just the white down comforter and decorating it from there or using a coverlet. Any ideas? I have thought about using blues, greens, relaxing colors but have also thought about doing bright colors. The bedding in my second bedroom is a brown coverlet with tourqouise, orange, and red pillows, and looks good. I would like something different in the master bedroom. I love the color purple and also like blues and greens. I also am infactauted with the hollywood theme, but doubt that would be an option to my husband for our bedroom. Maybe we could do that in the living room, haha! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
What can I do with Mirrored wall? I have an apartment where the previous renters put up Mirrors and I am not talking hanging mirrors, I mean cemented framed permanent ceiling to floor-wall to wall (thank God only one wall per room) mirror (when we moved in the leasing office told us they tried to take them down but they almost ripped down the entire wall!). I have 2 and a half walls covered by this tinted mess. Any ideas for how to decorate? More info: First is in Master bedroom (freaky!)-wall includes accordion doored closet. Second is in toddler room (My goodness I hope she does not break these) Thinking ballet-dance studio theme for her...maybe Third is on a half wall that between two rooms. You can see it from the living room (yeah pretty small place but its temp). Thanks Agnes. We plan on being there for a little while. Been there for a year and plan for this to be last apartment before we purchase home (on a 3 yr plan). I did see someone else's suggestion of curtains before and that does seem like a good idea. What bothers me the most is not being able to hang anything on that wall. Its a vast wall of nothingness without the ability to become something. Any other ideas out there?
Sims 2: How to decorate A Home? I made a family (A Mum and her Child Daughter). I want to pretend the mother is an AWESOME designer but the only problem is that I cannot decorate that well. I want each of the rooms to have a color theme. (Example: Living Room-Green. Daughter's Room- Pink. Master Bedroom- Red) If you could please answer like this: Living Room- Tell EXACTLY what floor and walls. Furniture name too. Kitchen- Tell EXACTLY what floor and walls. Furniture name too. Like that PLEASE.
need to redo decorate my room!!? I am 18 & getting more mature. my room has no theme or any sense of fashion to it. my parents just kind of through what ever they had into my room. nothing matches.. it's just not a complete comfortable room. my room is big. its above average. i have my main part of my room, like where my bed, desk, couch, and cafe table is. then i have a single bathroom, and a walk in closet that has a wall full of clothes a shoe shelf, a table of perfumes etc, and a big mirior. its kind of like a master bedroom i would say. anyways i need help coming up with ideas and colors for my room and how to decorate it. thanks here are photos of my bed room http://s822.photobucket.com/albums/zz141/shoomper/?newest=1 things about me: i love to love, laugh and live. im on out going person. i love music and fashion. my fav color is purple. i would like to redo my room into a more mature room. i'm looking for a relaxing sexy yet classy room. a room for a 21 year old. i need balance and peace in room... i love pictures of memories! i also would like to keep in mind, that what ever i end up getting for my room. <3 thank you :D
Looking for a period appropriate wallpaper? I recently bought a 120 year old farmhouse. When I started to take down the awful wallpaper in the master bedroom, I found out that they had applied the wallpaper right onto the plaster. Now, it won't come off. The vinyl patterned part came off but the paper/glue backing won't budge. So, I want to wallpaper over it... I like wallpaper anyways! The problem I am having is CHOOSING a wallpaper. It is a 120 yr old fieldstone farmhouse, and has the original doors, original door handles/locks, and original hardwood flooring. I really want to keep in the theme of the house. The rest of the house is decorated in a sagey grey green colour on the walls, painted white hardwood floors, pine plank ceiling, and the decor is mainly modern country/modern rustic. (I collect mixing bowls, bronze owl figurines, wooden candlesticks... all with a modern touch to them...) Now, I bought bedding that I wish to use in the room. It is cream coloured, very neutral. I also have some buddah statues and some large old painted mirror frames I want to use in the room. I cannot for the life of me find a wallpaper that is just... right for my house... now I'm looking online! If you know of any modern rustic or modern farmhouse wallpapers, I'd appreciate a link to check them out... I'm leaning towards blues and greys for the room... the link below is an example of what I LIKE but I'm just now in LOVE with it... thanks!! PS- the room is a perfect square, about 14' by 14' http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?D=905381&Ntt=905381&catalogId=10051&langId=-15&storeId=10051&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntx=mode+matchall&recN=112399&N=0&Ntk=P_PartNumber http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?D=905344&Ntt=905344&catalogId=10051&langId=-15&storeId=10051&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntx=mode+matchall&recN=112399&N=0&Ntk=P_PartNumber

I need ideas for a paint color for the bathroom...? I am 16 weeks pregnant with our first baby and, due to the small size of our home, my husband and I have decided to move our bedroom down to the basement and make a "master suite" down there (there's a full bathroom and we've converted a room into a walk-in closet). I need to paint the bathroom to eliminate the chances for mold and to make cleaning easier (the paint that's there is just primer) but I'm horrible at choosing paint colors. Our bathroom upstairs is chocolate brown (a surprisingly bold choice for me) and coordinates with a bamboo theme (bronzes, greens, and browns) and I love it. I'd like a similar bold choice, something that is pleasing to the eye and sophisticated but not jarring to look at. For some reason I'm thinking of a soothing, creamy green color (more of a browny green than a yellow green) but when I am in the paint store with all the colors in front of me, I get overwhelmed. I'd love to get the opinions of people with an eye for color. It doesn't have to be green, I'm open to suggestions. Please include the color name and brand, if you can, so I can look it up online. Thanks in advance for your help...I'm so hopeless when it comes to decorating! (Next up, I have to decide what color the nursery is going to be...argh!!)
Opera Decorating Theme? I'm an opera fiend and would like to decorate some of the rooms in our home with diverse opera themes. I'm planning on doing the bathrooms (there are 5, two are kid's bathrooms), the master bedroom, my daughter's bedroom and maybe one of my son's bedrooms. I'm thinking "Rusalka" for the master bath, and Madame Butterfly for one of the other bathrooms as it already contains some strong Japanese elements in the woodwork and glass sink. I need some clever ideas for the other baths and bedrooms. Any suggestions? I'm going to let the opera inspire the decor, not necessarily depict actual scenes. I'll probably letter the name on a wall someplace. I'm pretty good with decorative finishes and plants but am not a good enough painter to paint people.
Web sites for moroccan / indian style decorating ideas and products? Has anyone done this in their own home? I plan to redo my bedroom and master bath in a moroccan / indian theme and I don't want the theme to look half finished or incomplete. I would love any design ideas and or websites you might be able to share. Thanks much!
I need help on decorating my bathroom. It has a blue sink & bathroom...? It is the master bath and I don't want ti to clash with the master bedroom which is a bright pink & purple indian/ haremesque themed room. I am a college student so the cheaper the better. A 20 year old female to. I want something that isn't cheesy or overdone and isn't too teenagerish.
Baby nursery...what do you think? I am not pregnant yet but will be hopefully soon. I am always thinking of ways that I can decorate the nursery. I just wanted your opinion. Also how did you decorate your nursery and how many of your babies actually sleep in there. I have quite a few friends that still sleep with their babies in the master bedroom even though they are 1+ years. Here are my ideas: Girl: Lady bug nursery Boy: Fishing nursery Boy/Girl Twins: Surfing nursery (I figured I would cover all areas just incase. We live in FL so I think they are great themed rooms. I am also creative and will paint murals, etc.)
