baby boys bedroom ideas?? My son is now 10 months old and i want to redecorate his bedroom. At the moment its a Winnie the Pooh theme but i really want to change it and get away from that young baby theme. Any ideas on colours or themes???

I need ideas for a boys bedroom? I have an 8 year old son, he wants to redo his bedroom. Right now its red with firetruck border. He wants something different, but he's not sure how he wants it. Since I won't switch from firetrucks trucks to police cars, we're both a bit stuck. He has blue bedroom furniture and I don't want to buy new. If any one can come up with any ideas I would appreciate it.

The theme is "everything" to do with a small boy in the 50's, baseball, tinkertoys, marbles, Daniel Boone, Babe Ruth etc... My problem is I need to use a screen divider. Boys bedroom theme ideas? We have an old Victorian house that has lathe and plaster walls, so for now until we can afford to tear out the walls and put up drywall we have to wall paper. My sons blanket and accessories are from Ikea and are dark blue with castle and dragon themes on it. I thought I would be able to find something with castles on it, or even "build" a castle, but have had no luck...any suggestions?!!

Creative ideas for little boys transportation themed bedroom? We are doing a room for my 18 month old son who's been obsessed with all types of vehicles since, well, forever. We want to do his room with all types of transportation...planes,trains,cars,dump trucks,tractors...all that kind of stuff. He loves the movie Cars and Thomas the Tank Engine too. We plan on having some of that in the room but I don't want to base it around just a character. I have a projector and had planned on doing some murals with these different vehicles. Teenage boys bedroom smells! Ideas? I want it to smell fresh but still boyish if you understand what I am driving at. I have tried using fabreeze (only one type) and plain deodorants. Ocean-themed bedroom for boys, more ideas needed? My boys (2 & 5 y/o) share a room. They currently have a sports/ ball theme going on in there but I want to change it to an ocean theme (considering my 2 y/o has a love for seahorses and my 5 y/o sea turtles). So... this is all I have so far and I'm just hoping for more ideas (anything) to go along with it (or to better my idea).... Blue walls, fading light to dark from top to bottom. I have an oak captains bed with matching headboard and dresser and two white wash bookcases that hold my video games, dvds, books and tv. Decorating ideas for boys and girls sharing a bedroom? I am a teenage girl sharing a bedroom with kid brother. Really, really want to redo our room but can't find any unisex decorating ideas that aren't aimed at really little kids. This is like a 14 year old freshman girl and a 10 year old, 4th grade boy, both very mature. We want something that will make the room a pleasant, comfortable space for both of us. I need a bedroom decorating idea for two boys that are 11 & 9. I am not into cartoon characters or anything.? I want to redo their room in something that they will not grow out of really quick. So I was thinking of like doing blues or something. But, if you did that what would you hang on the walls? I don't like posters...I think they look tacky. Need ideas for decorating a boys room with a dinosaur theme.? Two of my sons ages 5 & 8 share a room, they love dinosaurs, reptiles etc. and want this as a theme for their bedroom. I have several ideas in mind for the bedding, but would like to as a touch to the walls. They are white now and the carpet is tan which is helpful. All of the bedding sets I am considering are good colors one is tan/beige with dinosaurs, one is burgundy, and one is blue. What can i do to the walls to add character and pull form the bedding. Boy's Robot Bedroom Ideas? My son is 6 and he wants a robot themed room, any ideas come to mind? Think out of the box. He's very creative and loves puzzles, legos, magnets, drawing. I'd love to make his room interactive and playful. Think vintage tin robots, and the Robots movie. For paint we are thinking maybe light mustang retro blue, pale green, yellowish green, orange, or turquoise??? I don't know yet but those are the colors that he likes. I will probably pick 2 to use, any suggestions? I'd love to add some industrial accents too like scrap robot parts for a lamp or something like that? I'd like to do as much as I can myself without spending too much. I'd love to use scraps or things i could get real cheap. What are some fun ideas for a planes, trains, and automobile themed boy's bedroom? I asked this in decorating, but no one responded! So I'm moving my question over here where it can be answered by the smartest, most creative people in the world: Parents. Not to mention aunts, uncles, babysitters, and everyone else who just loves kids! The bed will be a loft bed, so it will not be a race car bed. I plan on stacking a couple of tires and topping them with a round piece of glass for a little table. I'm also thinking of cutting a tire in half and using the halves as valances above the windows. We may even do a high shelf and run a model train along it. I may hang some airplanes from the ceiling too. I'd love your opinion on these ideas and any ideas you guys might have. I really do not know how to use the loft bed with this theme. Maybe make the bottom into a mechanic's shop? Thank you in advance for all your great ideas!

Ideas for decorating a toddler boy bedroom? I just finished painting the walls in my soon to be 3 year old son's bedroom. The paint is called "Guacamole" . Its a very warm rich green. My trim is dark wood, which I hate (I like white trim but I'm renting). I'm having a tough time decorating because his dresser is white and the toddler bed is a pine color. I'm not willing to paint the dresser and I really prefer to use what we have already. I love the look of pottery barn, but can't really afford to spend the money.Can you help me come up with some affordable ideas to make it look like a cool, & fun big boy bedroom. Toddler's bedroom ideas? I'm going to move into a new house soon, and need some ideas. I am due with a baby boy in November, but I already have furniture and Noah's Ark bedding for him. I also have a 13 month old boy but have no idea what I want to do for his room. He has always slept in bed with us and never had his own room so I have nothing for him (actually, the furniture and bedding for boy #2 was originally for my oldest but never came out of storage and has never been used). The room he will be in has a high bay window, too. I want to do something original with the paint, maybe a cool theme room. I don't want any cartoon characters, though. I refuse to do winnie the pooh or cars or anything too cliche. I like the idea of maybe a forest theme with trees painted on the walls, or a beach theme - something like that. Any suggestions? Casapulla - go choke on your own ego. I never had my own room growing up and both of my boys get that chance, so yes I want to go all out and make their rooms great. My sister happens to be an interior designer and is going to help me decorate their rooms, and my mother-in-law is already set to watch my son while we do that and other renovations (including installing new cabinet & drawer locks since you are so concerned with my children's safety). I need ideas for a boys bedroom...? He's eight years old. He wanted red, and against my better judgement, we painted it red and now everyone, including my son, hates it. So now we have the difficult task of covering up fire engine red paint!!! How many coats of primer will it take?? I would like ideas to decorate my kids bedroom? I have a 10 year old girl, and a 4 year old boy they are sharing a bedroom at the moment. I would like soom ideas that would make them both happy!!!
12 year old boys bedroom color? Ok he is a 12 year old boy, he wants ot paint his oom but i unsure of the color. He lieks japanese things. His fave colors are yellows and oranges. Anyone have any creative ideas involving housing a family of four in a two-bedroom apartment? There are two adults and two children (ages 8 and 6) in the family, and I'm looking for a cteative way to house us in a two-bedroom apartment. Since I have one girl and one boy, each has one bedroom right now, and my boyfriend and I sleep on a futon in the living room and I share the closet with my daughter, he shares the one in my son's room. It's nice for the kids because they each have a fairly large room to themselves, but my boyfriend and I don't have much privacy! I'm trying to think of other ways to make the situation work....and we're looking at another apartment, also with only 2 bedrooms (because getting a three-bedroom where we live is very difficult and it costs almost twice as much as a two-bedroom!). Anwyay, this new apartment we're considering has one of it's bathrooms in the master bedroom, which means whichever kid gets that room will get the bathroom and the other three of us will have to share the remaining bathroom. Is there another way we could set things up? We like where we live (a block from the beach) and don't want to move to another area!! :P I really don't feel it's appropriate for an 8 year old girl and a 6 year old boy to be sharing a room (in fact, in some states, it's illegal, if I'm not mistaken!)
What are good ideas for a teenage boys room to smell good? Everytime he opens his bedroom door it smells like a mens locker room what can I do or put in his room so it would smell good and won't seep into other parts of my house. I don't want to hurt his feelings ..... I just need a solution for this locker room smell. Help please, I've tried sprays also.
How can I paint a world map on my kids bedroom wall? I would like to paint a large world map onto one of the walls in my boys bedroom, I really believe that kids should know about other countries and where they are etc, plus my kids are really interested in this. Does anyone know where I can get a large worldmap stencil or any other ideas on how to get the map on the wall reasonably accurately? Any other suggestions on further brightening up the room with a 'world' theme would be appreciated - it is a very large room which both my boys share.
Hi. I am trying to get ideas and funding to have a sensory room put in our garden for my 4 yr old disabled son Our little boys bedroom is just not big enough to do exactly what we would like. hence the idea of a log cabin came about. were saving ourselves and applied to a few people for any kind of help. any ideas would be appreciated. sponsored events etc. he gets so much joy out of sensory rooms we have visited and i would like it to be on hand at home. also so his little mates can benefit too as a lot of sensory rooms only allow a couple of kids at the same time. Also if anyone has ideas for cheaper equipment, rather than all sensory catalogues out there that charge an absolute fortune. thanks for taking the time to read this. D
Need help designing a FOOTBALL themed bedroom with specific ideas in mind? We're starting to plan for our son's BIG BOY room that will be football themed (mostly OSU stuff). But here's the delimma....I want to keep the bottom 1/2 of the wall to look like a football field (painted green with white markings for goal lines,etc). Any ideas about how to go about this. I cannot find anything online except a picture from the Glidden Team Color brochure.
