Where to find cheap kids bedroom furniture? I have now looked over a million different places to find inexpensive bedroom furniture for my daughter. I have looked in department stores and online however I just cannot find anything around here. If you could throw some advice out for me I would completely appreciate it. Thanks

Kids Bedroom Furniture - Edmonton? I'm looking for a place to buy a good kids bedroom set (bed, dresser, mirror and side table at least). I've checked out the usual suspects like The Brick and Leons and Ikea (yuck) but is there any other little "hidden gem" of a place that anyone knows of in either Edmonton or St. Albert? what should I price this furniture for? My husband has an old furniture set (chest, dresser, mirror and headboard) from the 80s. It served as our furniture when we got married and for baby furniture for both of our kids when they were little. It's sturdy, but very dated. What should I price it for? I'd like to just give it away, but my husband insists it should be sold. I think he's being unrealistic, but I've never sold furniture before. How can I get my kids to stop treating my living room and bedroom like it's their playroom? I live in a fairly large home. My kids have their own playroom upstairs and they have plenty of room for their toys and "stuff" in their bedrooms. Their playroom has a DVD, TV, stereo, couch, toys, etc. and yet they still insist on "hanging out" in my LR, the nicest room in my house. Subsequently I am constantly picking up and cleaning up after them and it's making me nuts! I have new furniture and my oldest has already ripped the upholstery! They leave fingerprints everywhere and toys everywhere. As far as my BR goes, that too seems to have become their playroom as well. They leave toys, games, stuffed animals, artwork, etc. all over the place and I no longer have a place to call my own. They have zero respect for our nice living spaces and I am at my wits end. Any suggestions on how to "retrain" them to hang out upstairs before my LR and BR are ruined?
A tree decor in my bedroom? I've been sharing the same room with my brother for the whole 14 years of my life and now my parents have decided to turn my mom's home office and the store as my room. I personally love the idea of having more privacy. Plus, they told me I could design it anyway I like. Just not too expensive. So I started browsing through some simple teen rooms on the internet and I came across this picture of a white tree painted on the wall. It instantly caught my attention and it would be a nice add to my new room. I could stick notes and pictures on the branches of the tree and it would look fantastic and add more of 'myself' to the room, you get me? Is there a solution to how I can maybe use a different type of painting or different ways of sticking the notes and photos to the tree? It can't be anything permanent since I would be changing the notes and photos over time. And if you have any other suggestions for a nice simple teen bedroom, feel free to add them to your answers :) Maybe a nice wall color that would go with the white color of the tree?
Reviews on Ashley Furniture Bedroom sets...? I am looking at purchasing a bedroom set for my son. I don't want the cheap chipboard drawers/fake wood. I have been pleased with my couch/loveseat from Ashley Furniture and thought I'd check it out. I can't find reviews anywhere that relate to their products, only people bitching about how long the delivery takes!! Should the cops allow kids to keep stolen goods if their parents were the thieves? If a mom stole a set of bedroom furniture for her kid, and the kid had grown accustomed to sleeping on it, when the cops caught up with the mom, should they allow the kid to keep the stolen goods? How, then, can one suggest that we allow kids who were brought here by their parents illegal should be allowed to stay just because they had grown accustomed to living here in the U.S.? Need feedback not sure what to do bout my parents not buying me any bedroom furniture? we moved 6 months ago.? ok so my mom got married a year ago and her and my new step dad had already built this nice house for us to stay in once they got married. my stepdad had already been living in it for about a year and a half before they got married.We didn't actually even start to move into the house until 5 months after the wedding. so let me describe the house, my stepdad and my mom had already been buying furniture for their room, bathrooms, closet, kitchen, garage, bar are, den: including like 5 plasmas, his office space, dining room, a public study, and they had already had people start tending to the lawn for flower beds every-once and a while, it is a pretty big house the only thing they never thought o buy before we started living there was stuff for my room their child, i was never even asked what i wanted, but i did constantly say i wanted a tv in my bedroom. my mom did go out and get me a nice tv for my room but my stepdad said that i wouldn't need it until my room was set up; so she returned it. so on the first night we stayed over here my mom and i started bring over our stuff from our old house little by little. so i have clothes in my closet and stuff for my bathroom needs toothbrush etc. i ask my mom on the first night when im getting my bedroom furniture she says in 3-4 weeks, i was like ok that wont be too bad, i just had to sleep on an air mattress for a while. 4 weeks come and go and still no furniture, so i ask my mom and she says "oh well we haven't ordered it yet". and i was like why and she said its because you(me) haven't told us what you like and i said anything it wouldn't matter as long as i get a decent bed and stuff so i can have an actual room. at this point i still had clothes, bathroom stuff and the air mattress but i got a small bubble wrap box from a closet and have since been using it as a night stand: that has my alarm clock and many other things on it. so in my linen closet which should only hold towels and sheets for a bed \ i not only have that stuff but all the clothes that should go in a dresser and it is quite a mess. now my bathroom sink is becoming like the top of my dresser cause i need a place to put my daily thing or thing s i want to keep out but my mom gets mad at me and says i keep clutter on my sink along with daily self cleaning stuff that she wants me to put under my sink but there no point if i will need it tomorrow morning. but anyways i choose a bedroom furniture i like and my mom was like ok we'll get it, so another 2 months go by and still nothing. my mom start to complain how there is always stuff on the floor, stuff disorganized in my linen closet, and i say "well it wouldn't be that way if i had some furniture" and she says "well maybe if you showed that you can keep a clean room we'll get you some". WTF. so i try and keep a clean room but with school, football, and my former part time job i don't find enough time to clean but i do find time once a week maybe ad its clean for about a day. so now its near the end of october and coming up on the 7th month without getting anything for my room its starting to make me a bit depressed and unloved plus that added with the fact my mom wants to yell at me about everything from school to not having my license yet and i have changed schools leaving all my friends. im a very good kid that does everything im toold by adults and im very respectful its hard to be in a place where it should show your personality and all thats in it is an air mattress and a box. its embarrassing and makes me sad when i see my friends rooms with stuff on their walls and an overall cool room. im starting to lose it with her someone give me advise on what to do please?

Need Decorating Tips for Kids Bedroom? I recently moved into a smaller home, and my kids are sharing a room. I have a 10yr old daughter and 6yr old son. I really want the room to look spacious despite the fact it isn't a large room. Also, I want it to be organized, comfy, and modern. Above all else, incorporate my kids own personal styles. My son really doesn't care too much but my daughter is now a pre-teen. I'm having a hard time finding a combination of colors that would blend well in the room together. I need help with decorating ideas for a shared bedroom. My three kids will share a small bedroom. Ideas? They will be moving into a 10 x 10 bedroom. They are ages 6,8, and 10...all girls. We will be purchasing the Arts and Crafts "L" shaped loft bed from American Signature Furniture and will put one additional bed underneath. We will be moving into an older home...my kids call it a "cottage". We will be decorating in the Arts and Crafts style and their bed will be a dark stained wood color...like chocolate. Any ideas on decorating? The colors the kids came up with were white, black, and blue. I was thinking of painting one wall chalkboard black so they could have a place to draw. Any other great ideas? I also thought about installing a semi circle rod above the closet door to create a changing space. The other furniture in the room will be one tall (currently white wicker but open to painting) Armour and dresser. IRS problem......does anyone know anything about the IRS? i recently found out that when i had my taxes done in 2006 the place that did them messed them up and the IRS didn't catch the problem until now. i took the problem back to the place and they told me that because it wasn't caught with in a certain time frame that they are not responsible so now the IRS want $5,548.67 from me i lost my job a few months ago and i am a single mom of 2 little kids i called them and they did an income assessment and told me that what ever i can pay will be fine because my bills exceed my income now i just got a letter in the mail stating that if they do not receive the full payment they are going to come to my home and take anything that i own and as of right now i rent my home i own 1 mini van and my 2 kids i have $5.00 in my bank account and the other things i own are house hold like fridge stove 1 32" old t.v. my bed and my kids bedroom furniture everything else is my brothers cuz we live with him. my question is does anyone know anything about the IRS that can help me? i have tried calling those people on t.v. about IRS debt and they all have told me that i have to be in debt at least $10,000.00 thanks everyone u all have helped me alot :)

My husband only gives me 250 dollars a week for fifteen years, why dont I get a cost of living raise? I am a stay at home Mom, take care of my Dad, he manages the money. He's never given me extra to buy the kids any bedroom furniture or chest of drawers to keep their clothes in, but he collects guns, hunts, stuffs trophy kills and thinks giving me a car to drive is like a gift, rather than a requirement. The money I get is for groceries, gasoline, doctor, prescriptions, vet, grooming. Why does he think that is all I deserve and that he is giving so much. We cost him by water food and electricity and roof over our head. Non maintained roof at that. Is he wrong or am I selfish or something? for the record, daddy has his own money, hunting is very expensive, and men are suppose to provide enough for food, clothes and definitely furniture, prom dresses shoes etc for kids. He resents us and always has. Tending to my parents made it hard for me to work outside and be there for my kids while they were growing up. I did everything but work, so I couldn't afford to leave him. I am too busy. cut him off years ago. Must show he loves me first.
My kids are getting out of control? I have been having major problems with my 4 and 5 yr old girls over the last few weeks. They have been getting on their bedroom furniture and jumping off, tearing up their books and toys, not minding at all,and getting up extremely early and taking things from the house that do not belong to them. We have tried talking to them about why what they are doing is wrong( suuch as if you jump of the dresser you could really hurt yourself. Break your arm or leg and have to go to the hospital. And that would hurt very bad and make daddy and mama very sad that you hurt yourself.) We have tried time outs, taking away priveleges like not getting to play with their slip and slide, spanking, if they do something good they are rewarded. I am at wits end. Well this morning I guess I finally lost it somewhat. I have taken all their toys away since they are tearing them up anyway and told them that they had to earn them back. I took out the furniture except for matresses so they cant jump off What else can I do to stop this behavior? Also my 4 year old is going to school and being hateful to other people. Telling them she hates them and they are going to die. And biting. They are already in counseling. Id appreciate any advice. What color to paint a basement bedroom? Recently my brother moved out of his basement bedroom to serve in the Marines. I'm making his old room into a kids room for my nephews ages 20 months to 10 years old. The carpet is gray with red, green and blue speckled. The only piece of furniture is a tan love seat with brown and white stripes...from a distance the stripes look blue. There are no windows and the lighting is florescent. I don't have the exact size of the room, but a full size bed is the largest size bed that will look right in it. Currently the walls are a light olive and it just does not look right. I was thinking about a medium to dark blue. I also thought about striping light blue and darker blue, but I wasn't sure how that would look with a striped love seat. What colors do you suggest for the walls? Any shades of white are out of the question. Also, what sheen? I was thinking a satin.

Is he trying to keep his kids out by taking away the bed? My significant other has 2 adult children who both have families and small children. They kept coming home to run the air conditioner, borrow money, eat, cook, leave a big mess, shower, do laundry and everything else you can imagine while he is gone to work. I work full time too, so I am never there. His kids never seem to have jobs or any life plans except to live off old dad who by the way works nites and sleeps in the daytime 6 nites a week 12 hours a nite. His kids dont seem to get it, they run the TV, washer, stereo, have kids screaming and fighting. babies crying while he is trying to sleep. He loaned his bedroom furniture out. Do you think he did this to get them to stay in their own homes or am I just being too happy to see them gone? Today is the 1st time we have been together for ions. How do i control my raging anger when my kids do something REALLY stupid? Do i laugh it off or get mad? My kids, 7 and 5 do really really stupid things.. such as pour salt all over the Living room.... pour soap all over the bathroom floor...throw everything break everything.. have no respect or anything for anything. Cut their clothes up because they think it looks funny.. pour bleach all over my wife and i's clothing..break their bedroom furniture..write all over the walls.just constant things that waste amounts of money...not ALL the time and no they are not adhd or autistic. how can you get back kids that you fostered and went back to their dead beat parent? we fostered my cousins girlfriends kids she had 4 girls and a boy one was touched by the uncle, one was hit by a car, one was burned by an iron accidentally. we want the baby back he has a rash because she does not clean them right. she also told people she was going to tack the baby back to hurt my grandma who was attached to the baby and the baby attached to her. shes also in the hospital having twins, so she has 4 baby's and 4 grown up girls. we live in la the social workers are really uneducated and the judge who handled the case gave them all back. help me to help the kids. also a paper had stated we could have adopted the baby but they never notified us. please help this baby so we can help him he is still in a unsafe environment. they use bad words towards them, they live with the mother grandma in a 2 bed room house with no furniture they sleep on the floor. 8 kids a mother and grandma in a 2 bedroom house, we had all the kids in a 7 bedroom house we had barely enough room. please tell me what we can do the system seems very blind i am located in la california.

My husband and I like modern styled furniture, but don't know a good place to go to get quality furniture that will not fiberboard apart on us, yet will not break our bank account either. Our 2 sons graduate next month from H.S. How long do we have to throw a party? We are finishing a very, very long house remodel. What we have is goregous. A new kitchen, tile, carpet in the bedrooms, finished bedrooms - all gorgeous. But, don't have furniture. Two of the bathrooms aren't finished, one has no shower door or toilet; our bathroom has no toilet, tub or shower. And, the front yard is not landscaped There are no window treatments on any of the windows except the kids' bedrooms, not even ours (thank God for large trees!); Only the bedrooms and the front room have furniture and the furniture in the front room is ready for the curb. We feel pressured. We want the party, but we feel rushed. We want to wait, but if we do, we'll end up with a house party and no graduation ceremony. Maybe no party! Any ideas? I think I'm going to kill my kids' friends.? Not literally of course, but they're driving me crazy! They're 6-9 years old and my daughter is 5. They come over uninvited every day and ask for food and drink and paper to draw on. (My daughter has never been to their house even once.) I've had to start telling them no because they were eating all of our food, so now they try to sneak it. The paper is in my bedroom and just a few minutes ago I caught one of them sneaking in and taking some. I've caught them in my refrigerator too, and when they first started coming here they would tip over my furniture and pull cushions off the couch. I finally got them to stop doing that but they won't stop trying to take my things. Just now I told everyone they need to be better behaved in my house. If they do even ONE more thing I don't like, I think I'm going to ban them. These are the only friends my kids have, but they're really, REALLY getting on my nerves and have no manners whatsoever. Bachelor pad decorating help? I'm buying a house in a month. I am a bachelor and will live there alone, at least at first. It's a 3 bedroom rancher with 1 bathroom, a nice size living room, and a big kitchen. The living room and kitchen have brand new vinyl flooring. I'm going to repaint some rooms (kids lived there) and then recarpet the bedrooms. I have a good idea what I'm going to do with the space in terms of furniture, but my main question however is, I need a little help with decorating. What kinds of things (pictures, posters, etc) should I hang on the wall? by the way I'm 25 if that helps.
I need ideas for ways to calmly deal with a 5 year old rebel?!? My 5 year old has turned into a rebel this passed month. When he gets in time-out he throws toys, kicks, and screams at the top of his lungs things like, "I don't like you anymore!" or "I want to live somewhere else!" When he has to go to his room for continual disobedience he rips the blankets off his bed and moves the bedroom furniture around. I am at my wits end, I have tried two or three different approaches to handling this. Spanking him works sometimes but not every time. Some times that just makes him scream and yell for a longer period of time. This is completely unlike my son, he has never acted this way until the last few weeks. He was always a quiet, sweet kid. He will be starting Kindergarten in the fall and I wonder if he has some anxiety about that.. but that can't be the whole problem. I have already talked to him that Kindergarten will be fun. Suggestions? I have never dealt with something like this before.
questions about sharing rooms and baby furniture? I have 4 kids and am pregnant with another one. On the top floor of our house there is 5 rooms our master bedroom is actually one more floor up but we took one of the rooms on that floor so we could be with the kids. Before all the kids used to have there own rooms ( Sebastian and Jude's rooms connect with a sliding door , the other rooms are their own). With this baby on the way we had to put Sebastian and Jude into one room together ( which they are fine with ) and we moved Oliver to Jude's old room and the baby will get Oliver's old room. Do you think that's fair ? Because the husbands ' aunt ' came over today and said that it was so unfair that the new baby would get his/her own room. We didn't want to pair the baby up with another sibling because we don't want him/her waking up the other kids. She said that we should have moved to the master bedroom one more floor up instead having to the kids share rooms. I grew up with 10 other siblings and i had to share a bedroom with at least one of my siblings basically my whole life. My husband was fortunate and never had to share a room even though he had 7 siblings. I don't think sharing rooms really affected my life. SO DO YOUR KIDS HAVE TO SHARE ROOMS ? HOW DO YOU DO IT ? We have always bought new baby furniture for each baby because we thought it was important that each baby had it's own. So that when the baby got older she/he wouldn't like they were less important or anything like that. But also because our kids are so close in age when the next is born the older one was still in a crib and so on. Would you buy new furniture for every new baby or do you reuse the old ones ? what is your overrall impression about IKEA furniture? love it? hate it? total junk? great value? over the weekend, i bought a set of backyard furniture and one queen bed for the guest bedroom - i used to be anti-IKEA, thinking they all junk and disposable. now i have a little change of mind - not completely: 1. i think most of their stuff serve the purpose. 2. good value - not something you can passed on to your kids, but for that one summer or two, it works. 3. i've noticed they try hard to be green - lots of recycle material, their package is very plain, no styro foam used in packaging material, no plastic bags at check-out. 4. setup was suprisingly easy - 6 pieces including the queen bed took me 3 hours, instruction and design is clear and simple. i am not saying that i become a fan of IKEA, i still believe in certain holding value for your home furnitures. what do you think? i did weeks of research before set on ikea's set, comapring price with WM and target and i have not yet seen a better value set. the new WM opened in my area is even more decked-out than ikea store in my opinion, but I know what you mean, still need to do the homework first.

Bedroom Help please? Hello, my bedroom is hideous. I have old scratched wood floors, white scratched up walls, and lavender particle board furniture, that's bulky and covered in butterflies (I'm 14) I have a small room. 10x8 feet. The door is facing the window, which is on the front yard wall. It's in the left corner. My closet door is on the wall to the left of that wall, closer to the window with a foot of space between it and the next wall. My window is in the dead center of the front yard wall. I have to get a bigger place, but will somebody rent a 3-4 bedroom to me since it's just me looking at the place? I have a decent job where I could make the rent without a problem. I've lived with or rented from family since I've been on my own so what do I put down for references? And where do I start with getting the furniture and such so its as ready as possible for the kids? I would appreciate as much information as possible!!!!
does anyone know of a "CHEAPER" way of moving out of state? We're planning on relocating from Austin to Oregon and although we're not taking (hopefully) any of our big furniture items, we still have personal items like 2 tv's, clothes and other misc personal items that we do not want to leave behind. Any suggestions on a cheaper way of moving?? We're not taking our living room set, washer & dryer and the bedroom sets. Most of our stuff we can't part with is just stuff we've collected over the years, and the kids stuff. So any suggestions would be great!!!
What is he thinking and how should I react? None of it makes sense to me. Why is he even doing it? I started dateing this guy in August and things were going great for us. No fighting or anything. We had talked and planned on moving in together after the holidays and he even went out and bought an entire set of bedroom furniture for our place. He went through a lot of trouble making me feel special. He bought me a beautiful ring we met each others families. He got sick and felt bad we missed 3 days together so he brought me flowers. One day he took me for a drive showed me where he grew up and took me to his grandparents ranch out of town and told me they weren't home but he wanted me to meet them. On the way home he started talking about when we move in together, when we get married, when we have kids. All brought up by him. 2 days later when i talked to him he ended it with no explinations as to why. He quit talking to me all together. It took me a while, but I finally moved on. Now after 4 months hes decided to start texting me again like nothing at all happened. What should I do
do you belive this is ok for a parent to do??? ok so when I was 7 years old my dad bought me a bedroom set. im 16 now and i want to sell it. its really little kid ish. a women is going to buy it for 350 dollars. my dad belives he deserves the money for it but i think since he bought it for me to use for the past 8 years i deserve the money. it was my bedroom furniture. i kind of think of it as if you were to buy an expensive gift for someone and 8 years later they decide to sell it. they get the money. not you. what do you think??? i told him i would use it to buy more furniture but he said no
noisy neighbours - the final solution? i lived in a semi for 18 years without any major problems, until the owner of the house thru the wall to me decided to become a private landlord and put his home up for let to DSS tenants,then my nightmare began. I had 20 months of banging doors, slamming windows, parties, people throwing up outside my bedroom window,kids jumping up and down on furniture banging against the wall and my garden being used as a toilet for their children and pets. The noise started at 8 a.m, with kids shreiking and only stopped at 3 a.m., when the party ended, this happened six days a week. I tried talking to them, playing my music system louder than theirs,slammed doors and windows, just as they did,but to no avail.Complained to the Landlord and was told not to go to the police,as his tenants were travellers and they would target me. travellers being gypsies. I loathed going home, it was making me ill with worry.Finally, I put my home up for sale and moved away,further out into the country,happy at last. oooops sorry, didnt mean to answer my own question. just wanted to share my experience with others.

My Cleaning Lady Moves Stuff!? I know, I shouldn't complain cuz I have a cleaning lady. It drives me nuts because she does an awesome job except she moves my stuff, like she totally re-arranges the kids' bedrooms or the living room. She also moves my small stuff (clutter) and then I can't find things. I already tried saying, yeah, I kinda always like things in the same place but she didn't get the hint. I can see where my clutter (small items, papers, etc) gets in the way of her cleaning but I don't see the need to move my furniture. I let her re-arrange my daughter's room since it wasn't a big deal but I had to un-do her arrangement of my son's room because she put his bed against the wall that shares with the bathroom wall, so the potty flushing would be in his ear when he sleeps. So I tried to let her have her way one time. The thing is I don't wanna make her mad and lose her because she watches my kids, she's fantastic with the kids and they love her. I really like her and she's a great dependable person.

Suggestions for decorating unisex room? Hi. Me and my husband just bought a vacation home in SW Florida (Ft. Meyers area). Anyway, we also have 2 kids - 7 year old girl and 3 year old boy. The house is only 2 bedrooms, so the kids will be sharing a room when we go. Need help with some decorating ideas. Do you like the idea of blue/white flowery comforter set for daughter and blue/white stripes for son? Or maybe just bright colors - like bright pink and green? Not sure what direction to go. Some feng shui advice for a new home...? My new house is white and tan throughout, with some green in the master bath & a little blue in the guest bath. Our couch & club chairs are brown. Other furniture is avocado, mauve & black. (The rug makes it work.) Curtains in the living room & master bedding are French blue, we have smoke sheers in the master. How do I deal with out of control kids? A friend of mine is a single mom of 2 kids + one on the way. She lives at home with her mom so sometimes she comes to my home. I am pregnant with my first child. Since we are both preggers, we make time together. My only problem is her kids. They are 4 & 7 year old boys. Alone they are ok-together is a disaster! I understand kids have energy and need to play-however, I know this does not include my house being destroyed. They take stuff out of my closets, bedroom and cabinets and play with them. They scribble on stuff like important paperwork and my kitchen table. They jump on my furniture. They're smart-mouth the both of us. I keep my things tucked away, but since they feel they can "dig" in my stuff it does not work. Sad part is, I have to tell my friend to get her children to stop-otherwise she acts like she does not see them doing a thing. I don't want to be the person always saying "no, no, stop!" How can I get her to control her kids without comming off the wrong way? I ask my friend to bring their toys over, but she never does. I don't even want to go shopping with her because they run behind counters and break things and I am the one chasing them asking them to stop! My husband does not want them over because he is tired of the house being a wreck after thier visits. Any suggestions? No negative comments please. I want to help my friend and keep my sanity as well. Thanks
How did you downsize your life, after the divorce? I am forced due to spousal support, to leave where I am living, and will be renting a bedroom somewhere, with my kid 50% of the time. The irony is, that I was the responsible parent, and always paid the bills, etc. Now I have a Apt. full of stuff, and have to move. She gets most of the furniture. What did you learn when it happened to you. How did you help your kid thru it. This is really hard at middle age, and I can use the advice. What tips can you offer- on anything in the whole process... I really want to be understanding and sympathetic about this...? I've known my best friend going on 16years. she has a sister who's 35 and has 5 kids. Her sister lost her place last year for not paying rent. So she decided to move in with her single sister that had a 2 bedroom apartment and doesn't have kids. Since moving in with her the kids broke furniture ,windows and put holes in the walls, to make the situation even worst they got evicted today. Now as long as I can remember my friend has tooking care of this grown ass women!! and her kids for a long time and it almost seems as if she is useing her own sister. Last night she tried to contact her sister so they could get there belonging to storage; but her sister didn't answer the phone. My friend really wants to get away from her but she can't because she's worrying about her neices and nephews. I told my friend that she could stay with me and my family until things are good for her again. I do believe that she's gonna ask me if her sister can live here to, but that will be a no. It makes me really upset to see her like that. I don't know what to say to her as a friend to cheer her up.. Her sister is really starting to get under my skin; because she is tareing my friends life apart physically and mentaly. I have never seen her cry as much, she usually the strongest in the family. I explain to my friend all the time that i will not do all the things your her sister that she has done. I don't want to inconvience my family because of her sister. I have 2 kids and a husband, I've always helped her and and she's done the same, but this here i just won't do. here sister needs to find her own way. But when i look at my friend, I've never so her that depressed what should I do?
Money paid into my bank in error? When i split with my partner, my kids were 10 and 11 and he promised that when he eventually did find a job he would pay me some maintenance in a lump sum so i gave him an old empty account number that i didnt use. were on speaking terms until 2 years ago when he had a child with someone else and stopped seeing my kids. Anyway, i had a statement come through saying £430 had been credited to my account just over a year ago, and i thought id leave it in there to keep it safe as my kids will soon need secondary school uniform. I went to the bank today (13 months later) to with draw and was pleased to see that i now had £930....so i assumed he had paid more in this year. However, i looked at the statemanet and it said B.R.S and i dont know what this means!!! I have now spent this money on my kids uniform which was nearly £500 and i have bought them new bedroom furniture with the rest. im worried...what if it wasnt him that paid it in? Where would i stand legally as its an honest mistake!? Many thanks for all your answers...we will just have to see what happens! I have looked at various websites and they all say that as i was expecting money into this account at some time, i have a good explanation as to why i have spent it.
Can anyone help me out with this question regarding my cat? We have recently taken in a stray cat who has been severly abused it appears.Half of his ears are gone,he has bebes in him,all of his hair chopped off and we already love him very much he is so sweet and gentle. However here is my question he uses the litter box when he feels like it and if hes in one of the bedrooms he will just poop in the floor. He actually pooped on my daughters bed which is just disgusting so at 2am i had to throw out everything and clean her mattress. Does anyone have a solution or a good suggestion for this? He has already been dewormed,treated for earmites,flea treatment,and is due to be fixed next week because he also wants to urinate on my plastic bags. Do you think it could be from just not having a home and trying to adjust to his new surroundings? I dont want to give him to another home,but,i also cant let him poop on my kids furniture. Sorry for the book I wrote. It not just in the bedrooms thats just where it bothers me the most. Its really hard to keep the doors shut we have 4 kids and they are constantly running in and out of the rooms. Thank you for everyones responses! We do have another cat in the house also even though i constantly clean the litter box maybe he also doesnt like to use it after the other cat does. We have had sir scruffy for about 2 1/2 weeks now. I was afraid to confine him to one room beings he has already been through so much he loves attention but he has been busy fattening himself up and sleeping.
