  1. You should do the new Paint one wall different that the others. you have to have one dark or bright colors and other colors are soft. like pink for one wall and mint green for the others. You should get chineese lanterns to hang around your room, that'll look cool. and ifyour room is big enough, you should get a rope swing. they're pretty small and they're super fun!
  2. mine has alot of my fashion sence into it.my advise just go WILD!!! :]
  3. One of my favorite funky paint ideas is to tape off large rectangles and squares on the wall with painter's tape, then paint inside with varying shades of the same color. So if you like lavender and that's the current color, you could do the squares and rectangles with everything from a lighter lavender, almost white, to a deep purple. If you do it random, it has an even neater effect. And you can add glazes too, like pearl, copper, gold, silver...for a very glam effect that can last until you're much older. If you do this on one wall only, it won't be too busy for the whole room - just an accent wall - and much easier to repaint if you want to change it. Very easy to do - just tape off, paint inside the squares, peel away the tape, and you're done! If you have trouble with the paint leaking through the tape and not getting clean lines, can put the tape up, quickly paint with base lavender, then repaint with each different color and remove tape. Base coat keeps lines clean. You can also tape off a couple "hollow" squares/rectangles around picture frames on other walls, just to add more oomph to the pictures and more funk, without having much extra work etc. Good luck! (:
  4. If you are wild and funky, think about adding bight greens, pinks and yellows.
  5. I would do fun, bright colors, like Sherwin Williams "spa" and "moonraker" together. You could do stripes, or spounge big spheres on the wall, or do the top half of the wall in one color & the bottom in the other with a wallpaper border in between. Or you could do stencils on the wall like these: http://secure.designerstencils.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?screen=CTGY&category_code=Teens You could also get a big wallpaper mural to go on one of the walls: http://www.muralsyourway.com/myw4-results.cfm?room=3
  6. If you were to search secondhand market and antique stores, you would probably come across some surprising pieces of furniture that add a touch of distinction to your home.
