does anyone know a good place for cheap bedroom furniture?

We are getting a new bed and will have to get some night stands at least as we are going from a water bed which has a huge amount of space to put stuff on the head board and drawers underneath I don't want something expensive because I am horribly clumsy with things and always nick and dent the dressers I have now, but even the stuff they have at target is expensive these days.

  3. IKEA, Walmart (unless you have to ship anything) Try garage sales, thrift shops, local craigs list....anything that is solidly made can be "new again" with paint, fabric, or whatever your taste is. Just make sure you don't sacrifice safety! Also, I would not worry about them matching...that looks tacky anyway! Make them coordinate with paint or accessories. Also go online to HGTV or DIY.com if you are a do it your selfer...be creative. Try some paint, plywood, 2x4's, premade feet (I've used wood outside fence post tops ~~finials??~~ as feet - painted black with felt pads at the bottom, they look great - Home Depot or Lowes). Top the end tables with some mosaic tiles (Home Depot, Lowes, Michaels crafts) and they'll look fantastic. I am by no means a carpenter...I own a basic set of tools, a hand saw, a staple gun and an electric drill...I've made many pieces (or updated) and have had many compliments.
