- try criagslist.org
- Go to a second hand store, or a funriture wholesale store.
- FedEx http://www.fedexfurniture.com/
- Good question the best looking designer copy for a cheap price is Target. The sell the best looking designer knock offs on the market, from lamps to tables, chairs etc. Hope there is a Target Store Near you. Also K Mart has a furniture line, while not as classy as Target, the prices are good and the pieces are passable. Enjoy the new home.
- Try some of the local goodwill stores.
- Check out places like Salvation Army, Goodwill, and St. Vincent dePaul. There is also a store in our area that sells used hotel furniture (tvs, beds, dressers, etc.) when the hotels update their styles. Check your newspaper's "For Sale" section in the classifieds. Also, garage sales are a great place to look for odds and ends.
- second hand stores are a good place to buy furniture. remember the set doesn't have to match but should work well together. Also you don't need a head board for the bed (at least not for decorating purposes)lol. you could always use some large pillows and nice framed print or get creative for the head board I've seen people use a section on an old fence and it looks great. For a night stand you could go to wal-mart and get a round wooden table and a table cloth for around $20. Then all you need to do is find one nice dresser or wardrobe chest at a second hand store. Add some nice accessories and your done.
- Go to thrift stores or garage sales. Alot of the times when people move they sell their couches, even if they are ugly you can buy couch covers or make them cheaply. Otherwise ebay.
- Try www.freecycle.org. They have chapters all over & can help you get furniture FREE. I got a new cd storage case from this young woman who won a bigger one on a gameshow for free. It was still in the box. I also got my son's 5 drawer dresser from someone who was moving a few blocks away. There were a few minor scratches on the back & I didn't care as no one would see the back against the wall.
- big lots furniture
- Buying second-hand furniture from thrift stores or flea markets that is well-constructed is a far better use of your dollar than the cheap MDF crap being mass-produced today. (MDF=medium density fiberboard, which is sawdust and glue) It is super heavy, won't hold a screw, and disintegrates if it gets wet. Happy hunting!
- I have some forsale, cheap, if your local?
- How about re-sale stores, like Salvation Army, etc
- Try E-Bay...
