Want to spray paint my daughters bedroom furniture white..?
Here is a picture of her bedroom set. I dont know what material it is. Obviously a cheap wood but the surfaces are not shiny. Can I spray paint it. If so, what kind of spray paint would I use? http://www.vcf.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?partNumber=789445&langId=-1&Nao=67&storeId=10001&numberOfResultsPerPage=12&N=4294967268%204294967163&catalogId=10153&categoryId=4294967269&relatedRef=789305

- i would brush paint it, remove all knobs, etc, and lightly dip brush in paint and apply thin coats
- Use a 220 grit sandpaper and scuff up all the surface so the paint can adhere. Spray it outside to have good ventilation. Use thin coats to avoid drips. Enamel will have more of a tendency to chip if bumped. You can use Latex.
- Use a fine grit sandpaper to give "tooth" to the surface without making too much of a rough surface. Wipe down the dust with a wet cloth, let it dry, then spray paint ina well ventilated area, preferably outside. Some spray paints also claim to adhere to any painted surface, just make sure the dust is cleaned off. Also, don't be lazy or cheap, do several even coats to avoid drips. Good Luck!
