14 year old girls bedroom?
Okay. I have done my room at my mom's house, but I need to do my room at dad's. I am getting my step-mom's bedrooom suite and am keeping my entertainment system. The rest is out the door. The room is currently blue with white clouds, royal blue carpet and brown curtains that don't reach the windows bottom. There isn't blinds, but there is shades that pull up. I don't have any bedding and no design ideas. The furniture is a light brown wood tone and is good condition. straight lines. please don't say websites. i want inspiration ideas not links. thanks so much. i need paint color fabrics, theme, decor and everything else. LOVEDS

- Spoiled, I only get the couch in the living room. lol
- well if you are trying to thinkwhat to paint it go to http://www.behr.com/behrx/workbook/ and do that color smart thing..it shows what colors go togther..and you can even get a sample room and color in. its what i used to color my room. sorry thats a link.
- It depends what your in to. If you like pink fluffy stuff then do that. if you want it to be relaxing then go for candles and maybe a sweet color that is not so bright but not so dark. Like maybe a marron or dark red...but not to dark. Maybe like a modern theme even.
- You could do a sea theme. Either under the sea, with the walls being like coming up to the surface (like in the Little Mermaid or the Spongebob Movie), or a beach theme. You could also do island getaway (Lilo and Stitch)if you're into those bold colors. Curtains can always be changed. You can get some inexpensive panels from Walmart/Target/Kmart. Try the dollar store for your accessories. They have a lot of those kind of things. I'm not really sure how much you can spend, so this is the least expensive I can think of. You can keep the royal blue ocean floor. You can use different shades of blue for you bedding (stick with solids and throw a little sandy brown in there) and get some shells, sand in some glass votive holders(dollar store) or go island and get some hibiscus and luau type stuff. A good cheap way to get photos is priniting online or getting a calendar and cutting the pictures to fit.
- ok DONT do wallpaper do paint pink, is one calming colour, luv it, or baby blue then change your curtains to a matching colour maybe a darker tone, or colourful, take them down they sound ugly, get new furniture and if you cant, spray paint them its always a great idea, becuz spray paint doesnt ever spoil, and its way cheaper, add in funky mirrors, go to ikea, lots of designer acceriz to your room, and hopefully it wil look great :D
- these sites have heaps of teen bedroom ideas, colors and decor http://girlsthemebedrooms.com http://teensthemes.com
- Hi. Here are my ideas. I know you said no websites, but just look at this room from Pottery Barn: http://www.pbteen.com/gift/thm/thmgrl/thmgrlsrm/index.cfm?page=all I love that room! It would go with the royal blue carpeting. You could even keep the walls blue with the clouds if you want. Or freshen them up with a real pale blue and no clouds! Your light brown furniture would look good too! I really don't like "themes". I think your room should reflect YOU! At 14, I'm sure you love lots of things. Put up posters, pictures, a bulletin board with pics of friends, etc. Good luck with your redecorating!
