Any ideas for changing a bedroom from old florals with flowers?

To more modern colour, but still keeping the wooden furniture? Would apprecaite advise.

1. Try to go for plain colours like whites/creams/teal colours on your bed. Re-paint in a softer light cream, to make the room look larger, and try a stripe curtain which has the same colours you have picked for your bed. Also, you can put nice modern lamps on your bedside tables, they go well with dark furniture. Here are some links that might help.

3. It sounds like you need to get rid of all the flowers. Our bathroom was made in the 50's. What I did was paint the walls gray. Then I took a sponge and used an off white color all over. I topped it off with pink paint on a sponge. It looks like wallpaper but is more durable. It gives depth and texture. Find a painting you like or nail baskets or musical instruments or whatever you like on the walls. Our bedroom is oak. When my hand gets better I need to do what I said here. Take care and good luck!
