Parents: What art supplies do your kids use?

We are bringing a ton of art supplies to the homeless shelter and having kids paint, draw, or sculpt anything they want (within reason of course). Then were are going to action off the items and use the money to add 5 more family bedrooms into the shelter (it is set-up like a hotel with a seperate room for each family/single). I am the "operator" of the service and also need a catchy name. Oh, and in case you were wondering, this is basically to let the kids in the shelter have a fun-filled day of art while helping other people out too. And no, we don't expect the picture to be great, but we are planning on people buying out of the goodness of their heart. Bandit - That's a good idea because the weaving and stuff will get the older ones into it more. Thanks a lot.

  1. tempera paints, paintbrushes, thick markers (like crayola), paper, construction paper, scissors, glue, glitter, stickers, playdough and lots of household "found" items (egg cartons, buttons, yarn, whatever!)
  2. My kiddos are pros at whittling!! Hand them a few knifes and a log a wood, and you got an instant success!!
  3. Get some of everything, finger paints, clay, crayons, drawing pencils, paper, brushes etc. The children are most likely at different levels, so the more varied materials would be better. I think. Maybe even weaving, beading, embroidery and craft items too. Sorry, I am not good with names.
