  2. Hey how are ya? Well, pink is a great color, but also one you might get sick of...why not opt for a pretty lavender color (it's feminine, pretty, and soothing)...since you could paint your room a light color, it would be pretty cool to put more of your personality in the "accessories" like paintings, photographs, your favorite magazine covers/layouts. TJ Maxx and Kohls and Marshalls have really great homegoods like lamps and pictures (and it's great for a teenagers budget!)...lots of colorful pillows and pretty curtains are a nice touch (and if you like flowers, why not get a floral comforter!) And wa-lah...you are done! good luck =)
  3. I redid my room when i was 16 and I painted the walls hot pink (out there i know) but i loved it. Since the walls were so bright i kept the photos / posters on the walls minimal (well compared to what i had before it was) I picked out a few favorite posters and framed them to make it look more classy. I also made a cork board to put on my walls. You can hang picture and messages on there and change them as often as you want. To dress up a regular corkboard all I did was paint it with arcylic paint. Then I picked out a fancy ribbon and hot glues it to the edges to dress it up. I painted mine black and had black w/ white polka dot ribbons. For my bed I went with white sheets and a black comforter. Going on what you like, I would recommend painting your walls a maroon color. I had a friend who did this and i loved it. Then you can carry different shades of pink all through out your room and it will all match. I would recommend a light pink comforter set with that. If thats too dark, then go with an off white or very suttle pink walls. You can dress up your room with accessories, posters and bedding .Also the good thing with neutral walls is you can change the theme of your room without having to paint all the time. It also makes the room bright and look bigger. If you have a small room definitly go with white /offwhite. If your room is big, then experiment with color, color on the walls generally makes a big room seem cozy. I know I'm kinda all over, but i love decorating! One thing i recommend is finding one thing you love and design the room around it. For example find a comforter that you like, then find a wall color & accessorie, ect to match. You'll be amazed at what you can find when you go out shopping once you have a theme or color scheme, it makes the rest fun! I reall liekd this comforter! I'm not sure if you do too? http://www2.jcpenney.com/jcp/ProductsHOM.aspx?DeptID=25436&CatID=36035&CatTyp=DEP&ItemTyp=G&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=1318818&ProdSeq=3&Cat=bedding&Dep=Bedding+%2b+Bath&PCat=teen+girl&PCatID=28942&RefPage=ProductList&Sale=&ProdCount=30&RecPtr=&ShowMenu=&TTYP=&ShopBy=0&RefPageName=CategoryAll%252Easpx&RefCatID=28942&RefDeptID=25436&Page=1&CmCatId=25436|28908|28942|36035 The good thing with a solid comforter is you can dress it up with fun pillows. They're more budget friendly too! You could even make your own pillows! http://www2.jcpenney.com/jcp/ProductsHOM.aspx?DeptID=25436&CatID=51819&CatTyp=DEP&ItemTyp=G&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=1409a83&ProdSeq=2&Cat=casual&Dep=Bedding+%2b+Bath&PCat=comforters&PCatID=29094&RefPage=ProductList&Sale=&ProdCount=43&RecPtr=&ShowMenu=&TTYP=&ShopBy=0&RefPageName=CategoryAll%252Easpx&RefCatID=29094&RefDeptID=25436&Page=1&CmCatId=25436|29094|51819 Here's where you can find wooden letters online, you can spells out whatever words you want. It would probably be cheaper to go to a craft store to buy them, that way you can paint and decorate them any way you want. http://www.target.com/Wooden-Monogrammed-Letters-White/dp/B000EZMSYW/sr=1-1/qid=1209779831/ref=sr_1_1/601-0352542-2358512?ie=UTF8&index=target&field-browse=1038616&rh=k%3Aletters%20wall&page=1 HGTV.com has tons of ideas too, here are some pictures you can browse though. some may not be your style, but you'll also find some with some great ideas! http://ratemyspace.hgtv.com/SNC/GroupSearch.aspx?itemGUID=2ecef055-c247-4631-b75e-31d6f8dd6c8a&pguid=6db6be3f-1720-4ba3-a081-999042c09b6b If you want any more specific ideas or any questions, feel free to e-mail me!
