Do you have an adopted brother who was treated better because of being the Golden Boy?

We are a family of girls. Five girls and one adopted boy. My sisters slept on cement floors while my brother was given a luxury bedroom set and lots of toys and clothes. We girls had nothing because we were inferior females. I was not even allowed to go to the dentist or have piano lessons like my brother. Any girls out there feel resentful that they were also cast out by an adopted brother. (All us girls also disinherited because of him too!!!) The house was a house that was built by my father for your info. The basement was never finished and my brother slept upstairs. So there. Some ppl in the world are as abusive as that believe it or not.

  2. You have to play the cards you were delt. Let it go and be the best people you can be and stop trying to use a bad situation to get attention. Your parents were the losers not you girls, don't let them put their messed up thoughts on you.
  3. Nyah nee nyah nee nyah nyah, I don't have any adopted siblings. ...And I think you're making the "cement floor" thing up. It reminds me of the 4 yorkshirmen sketch: "Right. I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah."
  4. My mother was raised in a family very similar to yours. The boy was the Golden Child and the girls were disinherited and denied everything and treated horribly. My mother rose above it and made a wonderful, safe, loving home for her children. The other daughter held on to her resentment and did nothing positive for the rest of her life. I think it's horrible that parents treat their kids like you were treated. I hope that you are able to make a wonderful life for your children, like my mother did. She is truly an angel.
