What are some good colors I should paint the master bedroom?

Public Comments

  1. Maybe something soothing - earthtones? Maybe something light and bright - lemon, salmonish?
  2. Your master bedroom should be relaxing. We painted our room a sage green with a light whitish-beige carpet. Then we could change accent colors if we wanted too. Green tends to go with jsut about any color combos. Right now I have a quilt that I found in Branson, Mo that has several shades of green with mauve mixed in. It is not to frilly that my husband disliked it. Another color is blue---my daughter did her bedroom in the country blue/yellow combo. It is very nice---a little too bold for me but looks good.
  3. This question is way to general, but if I were to paint a master bedroom I would paint it a very light green, a color of the heart, to keep the passion, while not making it too feminine. Look at what else matches in the room. Keep it a light hue and also think about how the color will effect you, being around it all the time.
  4. You'll need to give us more details... are you starting from scratch or do you have to match stuff you already have? Which direction is the room facing (north, south, east, west), what color is your bedroom furniture? What are your favorite colors? What colors do you hate? I'd be glad to help you if you give me more details... you can always email me.
  5. When someone decides to paint their bedroom, that usually means they are open to investing in something else. Unless you already have a beautiful comforter, my first recommendation would be for you to shop around and find a beautiful set of quality bedding. Or another idea is to find a wonderful pillow or accessory you can base your room around. Basically something to inspire you. Since I am a designer, I loove buying bedding and thus, I like to change the look of my room periodically. Keeping this in mind, I decided to paint my room a neutral tan because it is elegant it will go with anything I want to bring into my room. email me at tmdoxie@yahoo.com, I would be happy to help any way that I can. I go to Linens N Things, and other stores all the time so there might be something Ive seen that you would like.
  6. Depends on your taste and how big it is...here are some ideas... A beach theme with soft pastels A rich theme with burgundy and hunter green and gold A modern look with cream and coco
