should I use black and white or color photos to decorate our master bedroom walls (photos of our little boy)?

thanks for your input - our walls are gold and our furniture is espresso stained wood - bedding is red, gold, chocolate brown & a little bit of green. i'm thinking maybe black & whites (a grouping of 3 gallery frames) above our bed then colored ones that go in frames on our chest, across from our bed. any thoughts from anyone?

  1. depends on the pictures...if they are taken in a professional photo studio...depending on the colors the photographer has....but black and white are better b/c 1) they go w/ the colors in ur master bedroom b/c its neutral 2) it looks classic!!
  2. i like black and white its classy also the black and white with one colored item is cute
  3. Depends on your current theme and setup. A more modernized (stark white, glass and silver) look would work better with black and white photos. A more traditional colorful warm environment usually works better with nice colorful photos. It all depends on your own personal tastes.
  4. Black & white looks more upscale. I prefer it.
  5. Since you have such a warm color palette in your room, I believe that black and white photos would look a bit cold. I would suggest using sepia-toned photos. Then they will have the classy appeal of b&w but with more warmth.
