Teen Girls bedroom?
I need ideas for my bedroom, I am remodeling it. The room is small, its 8.6ft by 10.9ft. On one of the walls that is 8.6ft is a door, and on the other is a large window in the centre. One of the 11ft walls has nothing on it, and the other has my closet that takes up about 1/3 of the wall. I need ideas for everything; paint, furniture, accessories, EVERYTHING! I want a sopisticated room, with browns and blues, but if you have other colour ideas, do tell. Please help me :) 10 points to the one I like best. Thanks :)

- Okay, first of all this is comming from a 14 girl. my room is purple and a very pale lime green, its not crazy and suprisingly calming. two of my walls are purple and green stripes and the others are solid. the striped walls are by my bed and the other by the dresser. the solid are where the door, window, and closet are. Plus, my room is LITTLE!!!!! what my mom did is try to help me choose colors that i like and also something that i wouldnt get suppper bored of., go to the paint store and try to find your favorite color(s), then look for a comfotor and bedding set that will compliment the colors. for furniture i would recomend a light wood, for decoration go to a store that you like, my room i have purple and green pillows, so find some fun pillows that go well. also for pictures, if you want to put stuff in a frame try to find one that has i cute accent color. also since its a smaller room storage is Super important. in m room i have almsot like metal crates, but they are white and stakeable, they are so cute and i can put anything in there. play around with it break the normal rules, try something different but make sure that you like it, and that its something that if you get bored of you can change and completly rearage. the most important thing is to make sure you like it, really get into it and have some fun! HAVE FUN, AND GOOD LUCK!
- maybe this might inspire something in you. http://designtalk.homevisions.com/2007/09/04/living-room-decorating-ideas-more-for-brown-and-blue/ just make the room scream you because you'll be living in it most of the time, you want to feel at home and comfortable. good luck!
- Check out PB Teen, they have some great teen idea rooms. I agree with the browns, blues palette. You may want to add some lime, light green in there & beige-taupe color. Be sure not to go too dark with the colors. Stick with the lighter palettes, but for the browns you can get dark. Don't go overboard with the patterns, simple colored dots & stripes is good. Remember the accessories too. Same or matching colored/design pillows, lamps, rugs [if bare floor], etc. As for the furniture I'd stick with white. You can never go wrong with white furniture & it would look best in this color scheme. Good Luck!!
