What colors go well with distressed white bedroom furniture?
My fiance & I just bought at house. We have the orginal hardwood floor in the master bedroom. I was wondering what colors go well with destressed white furniture? What color bedding? Curtians? Walls? HELP please! (I hate red)

- since it is white and distressed any color will go--usually people decorate with pale or pastels--but be different--deeper greens, blues, golds, purple plus lighter colors. On better homes and gardens website they have a section that you can decorate (room makeovers) they have pre-selected rooms, but you can choose the colors of walls, trims etc and i think even curtains on some. It could give you ideas at least.
- i think that's the good thing about white and black, they go with pretty much everything. what i would do is go and get some color swatches, and put them up next to the furniture and see which ones you like. you could do a cream colored wall, with neutral green curtains. those are always tasteful. it really just depends on your tastes. do you want something simple and elegant? or something bright and cheery? i really think with white furniture, you could do anything you wanted. http://www.bedroom-designs-and-decorations.com/aarch0906/decoratingamasterbedroom.html
- Personally, I like dark jewel-tones for my bedroom BUT when I think of distressed white furniture, I immediately think of a beach house--breezy and cottage-like. I would use shades of blues, greens, creams for this room. For example, a pale shade of blue for the walls, a shade of dark ecru for the beddings, white 'gauze-like' curtains, several blue and green throw pillows.
- Hardwood floor, white furniture---I think blues, possibly shading into green, would go very nicely, give it a cottage look but could still look modern. Use lemon yellow,or strong green, or even some purple for accents in fabrics and accessories. Go to a paint store and pick up a bunch of their colour chips, take'em home and see what you like.
- I would use a sage green or a periwinkle blue.
