How to decorate bedroom HELP!?
OK so I am 23 years old and moving into a new apartment. I am starting from scratch and want to decorate my bedroom. The room has tan carpet and white walls that I am unfortunately not allowed to paint another color. I'd love some advice on how to decorate my room since I am not most artistic person. I want it to look contemporary/modern. (ikea ish) What color furniture would look best (metal, wood?) given my white walls and tan carpet? I would love to have a brown/green color scheme. Do these colors complement each other nicely? Any advice? Thanks!

- I would say you should pick a color group. I think a cool light blue and dark blue mix would work best. Easy on the eye but nice color! I bye all of my bedroom stuff at Target or at Bed bath and Beyond. You can get some cool stuff for cheap prices. I think The Blue would look good with metallic looking furniture. Chic, Modern, Comfortable, relaxing, and Calm! I hope this helped you a little!
- I think your idea of a color scheme is a good one. I'd choose wood over metal since the colors in the room are very natural.
- I'd say wood over metal. Red and black colors would look very good with your carpet and walls. Since you want some green, I'd say maybe a few plants (plastic are my favorite!). Good luck!
- Definitely, Brown/green is a very popular trend right now. I think either metal or wood is good for contemporary as long as you buy pieces with clean lines. dark wood is a good contemporary look. http://www.roomstogo.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=showRoom&roo_ID=1320 http://www.levitz.com/common/product/ProductInfo.aspx?itemid=218885&ChildId=218885&xs=76810f5cb8-875c-4c6d-b996-964a0f340cae http://www.lnt.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2188285&cp=1331605.1331627.1331988&view=all&parentPage=family http://www.lnt.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2467815&cp=1331605.1331627.1331992&parentPage=family http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/ProductsHOM.aspx?DeptID=25436&CatID=51819&CatTyp=DEP&ItemTyp=G&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=11aa54b&ProdSeq=7&Cat=casual&Dep=Bed+%2b+Bath&PCat=comforters&PCatID=29094&RefPage=ProductList&Sale=&ProdCount=50&RecPtr=&ShowMenu=&TTYP=&ShopBy=0&RefPageName=CategoryAll%252Easpx&RefCatID=29094&RefDeptID=25436&Page=99&CmCatId=EXTERNAL|29094|51819 http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/ProductsHOM.aspx?DeptID=25436&CatID=51819&CatTyp=DEP&ItemTyp=G&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=11aa534&ProdSeq=27&Cat=casual&Dep=Bed+%2b+Bath&PCat=comforters&PCatID=29094&RefPage=ProductList&Sale=&ProdCount=50&RecPtr=&ShowMenu=&TTYP=&ShopBy=0&RefPageName=CategoryAll%252Easpx&RefCatID=29094&RefDeptID=25436&Page=99&CmCatId=EXTERNAL|29094|51819
- Look for dark brown furniture in wood. You could even get unfinished and DIY .... You will find a lot of accessories in teal and dark brown (the new popular color combo) You can also cut down on the white walls by extending your curtains to cover more wall than just the windows. And can always use throw rugs to cover up too much beige carpet.
