What color walls would go well with this bedset??

I want to redo my room into a more college dorm-ish feel. I just like how modernized the dorms look - the fun colors and designs... What color walls would look good with this bedset?? Does this bedset even look ok?? The furniture...the bedding...All of it? I do not have a clue when it comes to decorating...I am getting older and want a more mature bedroom.

  1. I think the bed set you picked are good choices...it's all in personal taste. My suggestion since you want a more mature look is to paint one wall (preferably the wall the bed is on) a dark chocolate and all the other walls could be painted either a light lime or yellow that compliments the comforter colors or even a lighter teal color that is also on the comforter. Either one would look good. Go with what you feel is most your style since you have to sleep there. I think it'll look fun, modern and mature. Hope this helps...good luck!
  2. I think I'd go with a light tan (cafe au lait) or brown walls with white moulding or accents. White furniture. Colorful rug like white with brown and aqua geometric shapes or circles. Throw in one or two punches of another color - like one hot pink pillow on the bed or one chair upholstered in pink or orange. http://www.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/48/1/AAAAAibKuasAAAAAAEgU5w.jpg http://www.nextag.com/brown-and-aqua/search-html
  3. it looks great together! I think if you could find a light teal.. not the same color but alot lighter it would be good for paint.. or maybe a light lime color... just don't put the wall the EXACT same color because then it would clash; you could even use tan if you want since there is brown in it
  4. I like your ideas, especially using the polka dot sheets with the stripe comforter! I would paint the room a celery green or a light aqua, whichever you like best. Good luck! Go to this site to experiment with color and consider one like "Waterfall" or "Springtime." http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/
  5. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/ I think it would look terrific if you paint your room "bungalow beige" (# 7511). That way, there's no competition for the cool bedding. You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website: http://www.roomvues.com/ You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
  6. I'd paint one wall the teal from the bedspread, and the other walls the beige from the bedspread.
