Cheap but okay Bedroom Furniture?
I'm a college student and need some new furniture. A dresser/mirror and a desk is prefably what I want. Maybe a headboard and thing that goes under the bed, I'm not sure yet. The only places I have thought of getting stuff from is like Target. Know of any other places that aren't to expensive??

- Yeah, Ikea. Good Quality, great prices. Not sure you could say that about Target, Walmart, etc... Oh and Craigslist too.
- Buy some inflatable furniture like an inflatable bed for a start. A desk is just a flat board and beams to support it so you can get that at home depot. One guy made himself all kinds of furniture out of fedex boxes since they are free. Anyways there are garage sales, thrift stores, antique stores, ebay, local newspaper classifieds, craiglist,etc....
- You may find cheap and even free used stuff on craigslist. Find the one local to you, then check the Freecycle and Furniture sections: http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites Sometimes the oriental/asian furniture stores have great furniture at unexpectedly low prices. Not the ones in the malls, but check on campus and if your area has a Chinatown, there.
- since you are on a tight budget, have you thought of visiting the local second hand stores? Great deals to be found there. It may not be up to date stuff but chances are you will find real wood furniture rather than the cheapo press board crap.
