need help with a 14 year old girl's bedroom redecorating completley?
Okay. So I am 14 year's old. I currently have a 9 x9 room +/-. I have 4 peices of furniture. They are my twin sized bed, my night stand, my fan, and my bookcase. All furniture must stay. i have brand new neutral carpet that is staying. I have no curtains and no closet door. I will be painting my ceiling white and the rest is unknown. I have few interests. I love polka dots, penguins and daisies. My favorite color is yellow. What colors would look good. I need it to be cute and it has to impress my friends, but not too girly. I have a dog and a rat so they must be comfortable in here. There is only one way I can arrange my room so all I need help with is the theme and colors. I have a limited budget of about $150 dollars for the entire room. I will be painting my closet, door, and around window, ceiling too. Multiple colors welcome, include bedding/decor ideas. A bit of nature would be cool. I want it easy to do but individual. I want my room to seem larger. All white furniture. Thanks http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z82/saphire993/untitled-2.jpg sorry last link didn't work.my dog is blind so room must stay like he remembers it. its too much stress for Galaxy to learn new things at his old age. hes almost deaf too.

- 1) Getting nice lights really help the room open up. Tall standing lamps are really good for this. 2) Bright colors help open up a room also. White is a good base color to start out with. Since you like daisies, why don't you make them your theme? A white and yellow color scheme would be cute. Its not too girly, and will really expand your room. 3) I think your room would look good all white, except the parts you will be painting (inside closet, door, and around the window). You should accent those with a pastel yellow. Even the floor boards (the wood that is where your wall and floor meet) can be painted yellow for an extra, cute accent. You don't want to go too bright with the color or else you will blind your guests. 4) Curtains help make a room look more upscale. You can go with yellow curtains, but skip painting around the window yellow if you do, or else the colors might not match and it will look funny. 5) Getting decorative pillows and a new bed set can really help also. I had a twin size bed from when I was 2 until I was 20 (yes, it was the same exact bed). 6) Adding little accents also helps bring out the personality of a room. Add a tall skinny vase of a few fake daisies on your night stand. Make a long strand of artificial daisies and coil them around your window or a tall lamp. Hope I helped! Feel free to message me if you want more help!
- dont try to impress your friends. If they dont like it tell em to fuck off.
