Cute ideas for a teen girls beach bedroom?
Okay my dad just built me a bedroom. I've started decorating it a little bit but I got a ways to go. Its going to be beach themed for sure. I have this wall mural one of the walls http://www.berlinwallpaper.com/murals/Komar/Images/1-074.jpg and the other walls are painted a pretty light blue color, and i am planning on getting a soft sandy colored carpet. So have any ideas on bedding, furniture and other things to put in the room. Also I have a walk in closet is there any way I could tie that into the theme, like making it a cabana. - You have to have a "grass skirt" for your bed skirt ;)
- There are ceiling fans that have sail or palm looks to the blades. Furniture with a bamboo look might help too. Not my thing as I like the craftsman look. But my buddy and his wife did their bedroom this way and the furniture had a bamboo look to it. If I remember what kind of wall hangings and bedding they had, I'll add more.
- i have the same theme. but i put up a poster of parrots, have all kinds of plants in the windows, found wicker at rummage sales and goodwill stores. you can get a sea shore border for the other walls. i hotglued shells around the mirror, had a clear lamp and put some sand and shells in that, you can get bamboo looking wallpaper and do your closets that way i also found seahorse knobs for mydressers
- OOh sounds like fun!!! Ok yeah you could turn it into a cabana. Or what if you kept it as a closet but instead of doors you could use grass skirts as curtains if you know what I mean? And you could also put a beach chair in a corner with a beach towel on it and stuff. Get seashells and display them on shelves. Go to target.com and look in their bedding section they have a pretty blue green and brown poka dot bedset or the same colors but stripeds, and they also have one with hubiscus flowers on it. Bring in the outdoor furniture in, like things made out of rattan, seagrass. Some chairs like this one http://environtrading.com/2005/product.cfm?uuid=61F4DA03-742F-4287-9AA3-2CDE77820906 Make the cushion in light crispy colors - blue, green, white. Maybe a touch of more softer color like teal.
