Any 80's bedroom design ideas?
I'm re-doing my room and I want to give it an 80's feel to it - bright neon colors and so on. I am looking for wall colors, furniture, decor, etc. Thank you!

- brown furniture, orange accents, neutral off white or tan walls, leafy ferns/ green plants.
- early 80s was natural n orange colors -late was neon's n stripes n dots etc. what one u lookin for? go to video store n look at the boxes for pic ideas too. i had unicorns n lots of blues. my sister had 80s hair band theme. edit--i just seen u wanted the brights. pick out a 80s movie (as teens watched) n go from there--the 80s still had the bean bag chairs n hand chairs too. the tackyer the better. also watch screech from saved by the bell -early years. robots n bike shorts hahaha--rainbow sheet sets--im soo blank right now-tired--i got some good ideas but ill let u know if i think of them--u can also look up 80s home decorating on net. alot of ''punk'' styles ''now'' r 80s too.

- Colours - add all those bright yellows, oranges, pinks, greens etc. Furniture - have wacky shaped chairs with bright cushions. Decor - lava lamps, disco balls, smiley cushions, glow-the-dark lights
- neon was more like clothing but it's a cool idea to use it in room decor i guess. the furniture of the 80s was a little gross imho. a lot of miami vice and brass. oh yeah shell headboards. (but that's the literal way to interpret the 80s.)(i imagine you're going for a homage fusion of today's looks with 80s inspired touches) i would digitize images of famous album covers and ***remove all the color*** .. put 2 across, and 2 underneath for a square of 4. colorburn1 of the pics neon yellow, 1 neon pink, 1 neon blue and 1 neon orange because those were the 4 main neons back in the 80s. one example of a famous album cover is rio by duran duran http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=rio+duran&gbv=2 or you can make the 4 images all 1 neon color against a 2nd neon color (background wall color, yellow would be my choice)
