what paint color to match with dark cherry/black bedroom set?
I just had bought a dark colored bedroom set, and i wanted to paint the walls of my room to match. I was thinking of doing a different shade of beige on each wall, what do you think? any other ideas?

- i like the beige idea
- It really depends on what you like and what you are going for. Dark cherry/black can match with just about anything. Creamy colors are probably your best course of action... greens, blues, browns are going to be the most flattering. My bedroom is pale Tiffany blue with cream and deep brown... it's very flattering. And our whole house has dark furniture and the walls are a creamy green called sagey. If you are going with the beige I would do two different colors and texture the main wall with the "wal-mart bagging" technique. It makes the paint look professional and classy and your eyes will be drawn to the main wall. HTH Animalcrackers247
- I have cherry colored furniture too and I love my nude/beige/tan/light brown walls. To add color, hang pretty colored paintings with cool gold frames or wall hangings which look rusty or antique like too. It's such a versatile color for furniture, you can use any paint color you like! Here are some nice pictures for others ideas too.
- A grey-blue would look great, and a soothing bedroom color. Think I would avoid red or orange tones. If you want beige, one with a pink hue would match best. I'd paint only one accent wall. It should be on the same color card in a darker hue, maybe the wall behind the bed.
- A medium sage would really add warmth to the room and make your furniture pop.
- play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/ I think a teal like "rivulet" (# 6760) might be a great choice. You can take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website: http://www.roomvues.com/ You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like
