  1. You could do polka dots in varying sizes and colors on your walls in colors you like. I would pick out my comforter 1st so you know what colors you will need to use to coordinate. I think black furniture would look cool with bright colors too so I really wouldn't go to all the trouble of changing it. Another thing that might be nice, is to go with an Asian theme of red and black. You could do some graphics on your wall using a projector ( you trace the shape and then fill it in) or by stenciling. You could get these via clip-art. You can get all kinds of things at an Asian market or in Chinatown. You could buy some Chinese fans etc to decorate your walls with. Use some bamboo on your walls as cheap wainscoting. It would be a very sophisticated yet, funky design.
  2. If you want to have two colors on your walls, maybe you should consider painting stripes (of the same color but different shades.) For instance, you could do yellow striped walls with teal accents for a very fresh look. Maybe you could get a white comforter/duvet (because you say that you like to change your room color relatively frequently, like me) and get some teal/turquoise and yellow throw pillows and/or throw blanket with interesting and funky prints or patterns. Some art with blue shades in it would also look very good against yellow walls.
