Decorating ideas for bedroom!?
I have twins, a boy and a girl. They are 6 years old and we are moving to a new house. They will share a large bedroom and I have no ideas on how to decorate it and incorporate their favorite colors (Alana - pink, green and baby blue ; Stephen - red and blue). I really love Pottery Barn Kids, so if you could post some links of furniture, that would be great! Thanks for all your help!

- How about making waves of blue. Pink flamingos around the room. Then make yellow as the sand. light green for the trees. Then buy some neat things to attach to the wall. Make it look like the beach. Red beach balls . Buy some real neat beds that look like a they have a tent over there beds. Pink for her and Blue for him. Instead of making it look one half the room is his and one half of the room his hers.Make it look shareable. Make it look fun . Good - Luck.
- They make sticks made of rubber that are reusable and come in all sorts of colors and designs. Let them help pick.
- I would go with this for the girl http://www.potterybarnkids.com/room/rom/romgir/romgirdot/index.cfm and for the boy some thing like this http://www.potterybarnkids.com/room/rom/romboy/romboyapl/index.cfm?cm_type=lnav stick with white furniture, and try to keep the two styles separate, this way they can keep to their own side of the rooms and it will feel less like one room since each will have their own personal space. I would keep the walls white and just put up cute posters or pictures on the walls, if you paint the walls its going to be too much and make the room feel small and cluttered.
- I'd paint the room a medium blue, and then use this bedding set for Alana (http://www.potterybarnkids.com/room/rom/romgir/romgirhal/index.cfm) and this one for Stephen (http://www.potterybarnkids.com/room/rom/romboy/romboyvin/index.cfm). They incorporate both their favorite colors.
- Have a "prop closet". Keep all the miscellaneous kid's room decorating items in there, and when you want to freshen your child's room, just remove one group of accessories from their room and replace with another! How easy is that? you can find some good ideas in my source site.
- I'm glad you say the room is large, because this will give you more options in buying furniture. A lot of the furniture these days requires room, which you say you have. I would have a look online (like you've mentioned), and you will find some amazing deals. Stores like Ikea overprice their items, and it just isn't worth buying from them!
