Help me decorate our Master Bedroom and Master Bath?
My husband likes blues and I like browns. Our options would be a shade of blue walls and a shade of brown comforter on the bed or a shade of brown walls and a shade of blue comforter on the bed. The furniture in the room is all oak and is all antique and we have a beige carpet that will go with anything. Also, what color would you paint the bathroom?

- I would go with a robin's egg blue or light turquoise on the wall and chocolate brown bedding. Blue is a very soothing color and would be perfect for the bedroom. Check out this site to see how the colors work together: http://restyledhome.blogspot.com/2008/03/robins-egg-blue.html I like white for the bathroom because it is so clean looking, but you could easily carry over the blues and browns into the bathroom as well.
- If it were me I would do all blue walls with one brown accent wall. I would do a solid brown or blue comforter and then accent with brown and blue mixed pillows in different shapes and patterns. I would paint the bathroom dark if you want it cozy and lighter blue if you want it to be light and open.
- If they are attached I would probably go with the same color.
- I think a pale aquamarine color for the walls would be best. Bedding and window treatments could be a medium-dark brown. Accent colors (used in small doses) could be very dark espresso brown and bright turquoise. You could even incorporate some dark brown faux-leather into the room: upholstery, cushions, lampshades. There are some great faux-leather window panels on the market. I would use the same color paint in the bathroom.
- Well you have great ideas for your master bedroom, i would definatly go with the blue walls and brown comforter, it will go great with your antique furniture. as for the bathroom i personally love bottem half a variety of brown/greyish tiles and then a tan or brown or beige color on the upper half. good luck, and have fun re-decorating
- I'd do mocha or very light brown in the bedroom and the blue from your bedding in the bathroom. Here is some bedding that might work for both of you: http://www.ajmoss.com/lichtenberg/enchantment-lichtenberg/ http://www.ajmoss.com/ajmoss/italia-bedding/ http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=59474&CatID=59514&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=1531c7e&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=59483&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=1&CmCatId=59483|59514 http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=59474&CatID=59514&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=15675f1&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=59483&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=8&CmCatId=59483|59514 http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=59474&CatID=59514&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=154ae0b&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=59483|59514&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=25&CmCatId=59483|59514 http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=59474&CatID=59514&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=156751d&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=59483|59514&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=49&CmCatId=59483|59514 http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=59474&CatID=59514&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=15675bd&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=59483|59514&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=52&CmCatId=59483|59514
