  1. Use throw pillows to decorate your bed...the more pillows the better. Get all shapes and sizes. It creates an illusion that will make you want to fall into the middle of them...as if you were a little kid. Its a very comforting thought, sort of like a big hug. I rather enjoy it. Of course if you are married or living with a significant other then "HE" may not go for that as it will seem too girlie or childish to a guy. But hey if its your room...dazzle yourself. Be creative. Buy a few multicolored light bulbs to put in your lamps. Cover the lamp shades with scarves to emit a softer light. You can have all sorts of fun with that. Good luck.
  2. go with light pastel colors, for the walls and, curtains. We went with light blue for the walls and, the curtains are light blue, fading to white. if You place a large mirror in the room, it will give the illusion of size. if possible, decorate with older furniture. it seems to give a sense of comfort and, stability. good luck and, have fun.
  3. One of my favorite things in my bedroom is a big fake tree in the corner with mini white lights on it. It makes the room feel cozy and romantic, especially on a rainy day.
  4. Change the bedding, new comforter covers, sheets and pillowcases will give you a new look to the bed and the whole bedroom, and the best of all, it is cheap! have a look.
