  1. i think purple brown is great in bedroom. you can set some silver color docorations, the contract may make room brighter whether in day or night. some bedroom pictures you can refer: http://www.decor-photos.com/zu/Bedroom-2f616dea5d471b58.html
  2. Yellow and purple are opposites on the color wheel, so putting those two colors on the wall will have a very dynamic, energetic effect. If you don't want that kind of drama, you might want to consider colors that are closer to your yellow for the accent wall. Like a darker version of the peachy yellow you described. Or bring in a slightly darker, muted green - that's a very popular color right now too. It depends on whether you want your accent wall to harmonize or surprise!
  3. Steely blues and warm soft sage greens are restful. Yellows and purples are too mardi gras and don't go with much. Chocolate or any deep browns are perfect and since browns are considered a neutral go with anything. Bright in your eye colors are not usually good colors for a bedroom or the accompanying master bath. Choose colors that any bedding or accessories would be complementary to so you don't get stuck dealing with the wall color when you want to change the bedding or accessories out. So no to peachy yellow and purple.
  4. I would suggest the below colors for your bedroom. In my opinion, these colors are not to masculine nor to feminine. 1. http://www.dongardner.com/images/plans/interiors/1048master.jpg 2. http://www.dongardner.com/images/plans/interiors/1021master.jpg 3. http://www.dongardner.com/images/plans/interiors/990master.jpg 4. http://www.dongardner.com/images/plans/interiors/452master.jpg
  5. Unless this is a very large room, I think that color combination is just too overwhelming. if you have your heart set on usin a dark purple, then i would suggest using Aubergine (eggplant) on one wall, and then painting the other walls in a light silvery grey. This is a very classy and gender neutral color scheme.
  6. Hi, When selecting bedroom paint colors, choose one for walls, one for the ceiling, and one for trim to give the room contrast and dimension. White is not the only bedroom paint color, which is suitable, or a restful color for bedrooms. Borrow from nature, which rarely errs. Imagine a bedroom painted in any of the following: * Blue: either a delicate sky shade or cornflower * Pink: any hue from pin-white peony to coral * Grape green or sage green * Chocolate! thank you!
  7. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/ I think "sumptuous peach" (# 6345) might be a good choice with an accent wall in "homburg gray" (# 7622). You can take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website: http://www.roomvues.com/ You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
