Decorating around boyfriend's burgundy duvet cover?
I have moved into my boyfriend's house, and we're working on remodling and redecorating. I'm stuck when it comes to the bedroom. He's got dark brown (big, heavy) furniture, that is staying for now, and a burgundy duvet cover which he doesn't want to part with. Burgundy is probaby my least favorite color when it comes to interior design. So my question is: What other colors can I use in the room that will complement the burgundy, but will still keep it looking contemporary and fresh? The room doesn't' get a ton of natural light, so dark colors on the wall won't work. Please help!

- Try creams and light greens. Those colors blend nicely with a burgundy. Or you could try grays and light shade's of blue. Just go look at the colors out there and see what looks good to your eye.
- I think shades of gold would be nice, like a saffron color. It is warm and would contrast nicely with the dark heavy wood. You could almost take in in the direction of a Moroccan/Spanish look. Add some tapestry type pillows, some iron lanterns for candles, and add some framed mirrors to the wall to reflect some light.
