How to paint a bedroom with more than one color?
Im looking to paint my bedroom and I am clueless to interior design. I heard that colors compliment one another, but am not skilled in this area. I am prettyy sure I want to paint my room a soft colored green, so I am asking can a room look nice with more than 1 wall color and if so how to do this. Thank you very much!!

- You can paint the headboard wall the bolder color and the other 3 walls another color. I usually find colors from a poster on the wall or the comforter for the bed. This site will show you 2 coordinating colors for your green: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/
- yes. theres so many different colors that would go with that. depending on what style your bedroom is. a tan would make things very natural and relaxed. charcoal grey if you have modern furniture and want to go really edgy. any neutral colors really (browns, tans, greys, every navy blue.) this is all assuming that you are painting one wall green and the other 3 would be a different color. if you want three walls green then you could paint the 4th wall a darker green to make it the focus of the room and add more color, or a white/cream to tone everything down more.
- There are many ways to paint...you can have three walls in one colour, then an accent wall . An accent wall is one you want your eye drawn to ... the focal wall. An accent wall can be lighter or darker than your other walls. You can paint two walls one colour and two walls another colour. You can stick to one colour on four walls and bring in accent colour(s) with accessories and/or rugs. My kitchen has two colours and my one daughter's bedroom has two walls in one colour, and two in another. Yes it looks great, but you should make sure the two colours should co ordinate in some way depending on what you want your look to be. You can paint the top half of the wall in one colour and the bottom half of the wall in another colour, or two coloured stripes, or four solid walls with different coloured squares or circles painted in planned areas. So many ways to incorporate two colours of paint!! Just have fun.
- i think a bedroom would look particularly good with 2 colors. i would paint the wall behind the bed a different shade than the other walls. if you are thinking of doing a soft sage green as your main color, a light purple/lavender wall behind the bed would be beautiful.
- If you find a print or something, like a bed spread/comforter, use a couple colors from it. You can paint two facing walls one color and the two other walls the other color. Or, you can do the bottom 1/3 one color, the top 2/3 the other color, and have a wallpaper border that hides the line where the two colors meet. Or, you can do what we are going to do with our living room, namely, have all the walls one solid color, and have a white molding where the wall meets ceiling and where the wall meets the floor. I'm thinking of painting the ceiling the same color as the walls, and have the white molding break it up. Or you can paint all the walls one color, and paint the ceiling the other color. It gets pretty foolproof if you do the two separate colors as just a lighter and darker version of the same color, say, 2 purple walls and 2 light purple walls, for example. And if you have one color and the other is white, white goes with anything.
