What color should I paint my master bedroom accent wall?
We are thinking about painting 3 walls a creamy off-white color and would like an accent wall. Our carpet is beige and we have mint green bedding with chocolate brown accents. Our furniture is a medium oak color. What colors would you recommend for the accent wall? I was thinking a light blue shade, but I do not have much experience decorating. Thank you!

- what ever colour u like that goes with ur furniture
- Hi. I would go with a burgundy color. I have burgundy and a very light green in my dining room and it is fabulous. It actually happened by accident (we thought the color in the can was beige). You could tie it in with some throw pillows on the bed or accents on the dressers.
- I would do a green. Take a part of your bedding that contains the green color to the paint store and look for something that looks good with it, but is not an exact match.
- I think an almost olive green would be beautiful accent wall to go with your current room. the dark color would not make the space seem small because of the other light walls and beige carpet. the dark wall would catch your eye, but the main focus would still be the mint. white sheers would give an excellent finishing touch to this room, as well as chocolate brown and other cream bed cushions. good luck, i hope i was of help!
- Any shade of green that matches well to your bedding,so it all blends together..>=)
- I would go with chocolate brown. If the brown in your bedding is only an accent color, it will make the bed more of a focal point. You could go with green, but if your comforter is green, and you put the bed on the accent wall, it will drown out the bedding, and make it less of a focal point. If you want to introduce an accent color, you could go with blue, because blue is next to green on the color wheel, blue with green would give the room more of a relaxing feel, but you would need put blue in other areas of the room through throw pillows, vases, wall art, whatever. If you wanted the bed to stand out, you could go with a color across from green on the color wheel. Red is across, but red and green together favor christmas a little too much for me. Orange looks good with green, it makes the green stand out, but I think orange with mint green would be hard to pull off. You could also go with a purple color. Purple and green would give the room a very botanical feel. You should think of things that you see in nature that incorporate green and whatever accent you would want. Like green and orange make me think of an orange grove. Green and purple together makes me think of lilac. Green and blue makes me think of the ocean. Green and brown could be anything in nature. Think of your room more as inspired by a certain object, and pull your colors from there.
- You can go with brown or chocolate color, what ever goes well with your furniture.
