- Hi. Okay, your bedroom needs to be as uncluttered as possible. There should be NO MIRRORS (BIG TABOO), no water (except a glass of water, juice etc), and no flowers (unless they are for a sick person, because they are yang, so are good fconvalescingcing). Also, no pointed triangle shapes even though they are fire symbols. Your room is facing North, but where is it in relation to the rest of the house? If it is in the North, blue is good, if in the North West or West, white is good. East or South east green or brown is good. And North East and South west, beige and yellow are good. If you are in the South, use a variation of pink. DO NOT use red. It is a fire colour, but too yang for the bedroom. Have plain (preferably white) bedding. http://www.lillian-too.com
- Mirrors are fine, actually. They help to open a space and attract chi. In fact, they are GREAT, unless they are in the back middle or back left spaces in your room. Also, water is fine, too. TERRY S only says this because North is very yang and fiery, and water douses fire (so do mirrors, since they represent water.) But to be practical, it tis fine to have a little bit of water elements. Now, North is very yang, but since it is a bedroom, the colors should be yin, or it will be hard to fall asleep. Good colors are darker shades, and yin colors, such as green, blue, pink, gold, and purple. Make sure that your wallpaper is one-toned (NO patterns!) and MAKE SURE your wallpaper or paint is matte (NO GLOSS!). This is especially important, because, while a semi-gloss or gloss finish could be too bright, making it so you cannot fall asleep, your wall also faces North, which is represented by fire, so any gloss finish (which is watery) will douse this yang element. Good Luck and Happy Feng Shui-ing!!!
