Redecorating bedroom, relatively small, dark furniture?
I'm redecorating a room, it's a bedroom with contemporary dark furniture, it has a double bed with headboard, and a four door wardrobe but now I am stuck with ideas for decorating the room. Would it be a good idea to do one wall different? Either patterned wallpaper or a solid colour? Will sort out the floor once I have decided on the walls. Also, any other tips about decorating a room with dark furniture? At the moment it looks very bleak.

- a feature wall will look nice - stand out and you should definately put the bed against it. Make sure the colours you use on the walls isn't too dark as this can make the room look even smaller and the furniture will get lost against it. Light colours make the room look bigger and will contrast with your dark furniture. cool colours: blues, greens. purples wil make the room look bigger warm colours: pinks, oranges, yellows will make the room look smaller neutral colours also open up the room in terms of size. maybe have your feature wall in a nice bright colour and then the other walls in a lighter shade of that colour. hope that helps
- Hi Loves It's; Maybe you can try with two solid colors. Maybe white with beige or dark blue. I think if you're using dark furniture the lighting is very important to contrast the bleakness. Maybe also some little different lights colors. I'm not a professional, I just try to help :) I hope to be much better the next time. Have a great day!
