Is this a bad idea for a color scheme for a modern/contemporary bedroom?
Polar white on the walls and black on the trim. My furniture is all black(my only furniture in my room is my bed and a drawer), so I thought it would go well with black trim. I already bought the paint then realized its probably a horrible idea. What do you think? What do you recommend? I want a sort of modern/artsy kind of look and feel to it, which is why I barely have furniture. Also I have wood floor, but I'm thinking of buying a rug. So any tips?

- Your first instinct sounds good. For those of us who like the contemporary look, those are good colors that will go well with your furniture. Use a throw rug where or two where you would be standing or sitting. With the white walls and the minimalistic furniture, you can now get your artsy look and feel with colorful paintings/posters on the wall. Maybe even a little statuary. A green plant will take some of the edge off of the contemporary look and add some life to the room. A single colored window covering will add to the modern theme whereas a multicolored window covering will add to the artsy theme. Recessed lighting is great for ambient light and then you can use lamps for accent lighting. Have some fun with it.
- well are you a female or male? if you are a female: I would not use black trim BUT that's just me. However It will probably look better than you think though. You could get a few paintings that have have bright colors along with alittle bit of black in the painting that would bring out the black on the trim. Definitely get a rug and make sure there is some black in your rug that will accent the black trim. you can always change the trim if you don't like it. If you can, buy you a green potted floor plant for your room. Accent your room using the colors of orange, yellows, maybe red.
- yes that sounds good but if you end up not liking it just accersories with color and lamps and i would buy a picture that was black and white and gray caloulge would look best and you should get a desk a black dek in there and that would look great
