I purchased a dark stained, simple, contemporary, sort of Shaker style large dresser with mirror and two end tables for my master bedroom. I have my "Ethan Allen" childhood vertical dresser plus another second hand beautiful, well made vertical chest of drawers and lastly my son's baby dresser that I couldn't sell, all in the room also. I know it sounds cluttered, but it's a big room and all those dressers don't make it look that way, besides I need the storage for all my clothers and stuff. I'm going to finally paint and decorate the room and I want to paint the old dressers to match the stain of the new dresser and end tables. I had and idea....what if I paint two of the old dressers, I different color something to contrast all the dark dressers? Something complimentary. I'm thinking of painting the walls a little darker than Terracotta, like a redish/brown...could I paint two of the old dressers in a light orange/terracotta or just paint the 3 old dressers a dark brown to match the new furniture. Just trying to be creative or maybe NOT.
