TEeN BeDROoM?

I am a teen girl, looking to redo her room. I have decided on a retro/city theme. My walls HAVE to be white. and my carpet is this off-white color. (it is SO ugly) i was thinking red as one my colors. Help me decide the rest. - oh yeah. I am on a budget. So expensive places like PBteen don't work for me.

1. I am in the same situation as you now. What I'm doing is looking around like at Kohls. Or Bed Bath & Beyond. Also a GREAT site for this stuff: overstock.com They have little accent things for redoing your room. Also cheap! Brand new and cheap. I love overstock.com Here is what I'm doing: painting my walls pink & green. then getting a plain white comforter. I'll find pics of me and my friends and transfer it onto iron-on paper. So I am making a black & white comforter with my favorite pictures on it! (you can do this using a scanner. Or taking the pics to a picture develop place). Good luck on your room. It's fun when it's done even when it's hard to come up with stuff. Overstock.com has like... fun little colorful pillows and frames & everything u can think of!!
2. What about the color green like on Yahoo Answers? and black? That's in right now, and can be punched up with a punch of hot pink, or aqua blue. You can find these colors everywhere....Kmart, Target, WalMart...so you don't have to spend a lot. buy inexpensive silver trinkets for a shiny city retro look. Get a silver toned wastebasket, and see what these little changes do for your room.
3. this is so funny. I am a teen redoing her room as well in the color red. Def use ikea.com!!!!! they have the cutest red stuff for your room and its so cheap!
