How to changing a bachelors bedroom into a couples bedroom?
I just moved in with my boyfriend and want to redecorate the bedroom, however i don't know what colors to choose. I don't want the room to be too feminine or masculine. Whats an appropriate medium? The bedroom has no windows, and with the current dark colors on the walls it feels like a cave! HELP!!!

- use neutral colors like shades of brown, golds, and ambers then use accent colors for the bedspread, pillows etc in colors you both like. get some large modern mirrors to make the room feel more open (placing them strategicly by the bed will intrigue your man ;p )
- Little darker then beige on three walls and a light brown on the Fourth wall will do the trick, why because they are looked upon as medium colors. What you hang on the walls should blend to the opposite wall. Lighting is going to play the major roll in a room whit out natural lighting pick your lamps with care, if possible put in some track lighting to accent the walls.
- I like the idea of concentrating on the lighting, ask for help at a lighting store. If it were my bedroom and had no window, I would check to see if a solartube could be installed through the roof (assuming he owns the place). No windows, gee! Make the paint colors as light as possible, you need all the help you can get. Maybe all or mostly white linens, too. No florals or busy, busy.
- If you are buying a new comforter/bedspread I would find one that you both like and then go from there. The colors that are in right now are beige/tan, yellow/gold, and black. Check out overstock.com for some great prices on comforters. Since the room has no windows I would suggest doing a light color on the wall put you can do a dark bedding if that's what you like. Also, add a large round mirror to a wall which will make the room look bigger. You can also add sconces on the walls which will give you accent candle light at night. Check out kirkland home website they have inexpensive mirrors and sconces. Best is to pick your bedding first then start a theme from that.
