Teen bedroom decorating..?
okay im 15 yrs old and im moving soon and right now my room is like pink and its not very comforting or alest somewhere where i can be comfortable and relax in. i need help on what to do for my mom, when i relax i like it to be dark so im gettin my mom to let me paint my walls black with pink dots , she said she doesnt know if she will let me do it it forsure but i want it pink tho, i dnt knw what to do and put in my room to make it look cool but at teh same time comfortable and relaxing when i just want to relax oh and if u have any ideas where to get playboy stuff in canada can you send me the links or the place names

- Well for my perfect room. I am going to have 2 red and black striped walls, 1 wall that is painted to look like bricks and then use spray paint to do graffiti on it, and 1 wall painted to look like concreted so that my friends can sign it when they come over with there own graffiti. I am going to have homemade skateboard shelves and coat hangers. I am going to try to buy a v rocker, minifridge and a black and red bed spread. For you I would suggest: If you can't paint it how you want just paint it a dark color and do wall to wall posters. Buy or make some shelves like I am. Buy some kool stuff that will go with your theme(if you have one).
- While this may sound cool I feel it may be a bit much after a while. Go with a purple & darker trim around the room if you want. Purple is a relaxing colour on bedroom walls I have done that on a friends daughters walls and it looks great. If you want your room to be dark heavy curtains will do the trick while still not taking over the room. Just remember you need to keep it plain on the walls and add the colour with accessories which can alwways be changed if you get sick of the way it is.

- I wouldn't go with black, because it will get to be too dark, and a lot of work to change it. How about a dark purple or dark pink with black spots instead. Look in the IKEA catalogue for other ideas of how to make it more comfy with bean bag chairs and big pillows, etc. Maybe do it in the 60 's hippie decor with Peter MAX curtains or look on ebay for some funky artwork, etc.
- my 15 yr old granddaughter has a room here at our house and I am painting it neon green on two walls and purple on the other two...already got green and purple decors for her room...then on the green wall will put purple circles and on the purple wall green circles. she thinks its cool.
