Bedroom Talk

Have you ever searched through your kid's personal items or bedroom without their knowledge?

Have you ever gone through your kid's stuff without telling them to make sure they aren't into drugs or getting into trouble?

  1. yes I have
  2. My son is only 9yrs old, so not yet. But if suspect something, you D*mn right I'm going through his stuff. My house, I pay the bills, I feed you, clothe you, nurse you back to health when you're sick, give you money, buy you things!!! And if I suspect for 1 minute that my son has gotten into drugs/alcohol or anything else that might cause him harm or future addiction problems, I will go through every square INCH of his room. He is my only child and I will NOT lose him to any of these things because I was too concerned with being politically correct by not violating his privacy. To H*ll with his privacy, I want my child alive and safe form harm and addictions!!!! AND any of you tree hugging, tofu farting liberals that want to challenge me, go ahead!!! My son is going to be alive and not taking up space at The Betty Ford Clinic. Thats it, and there it is!!!!!!
  3. Yes I have, especially with my daughters when they were teenagers. My oldest girl was out of control in those years and at 25 has just started to settle down. My younger girl was not as bad as her sister. (Thank God ) I have 2 boys who have yet to go threw those turbulent teen years but I think my snooping days are over.
  4. From past experience with a insane possessive mother, I say it is ok to snoop up to a point. Your kid is allowed privacy, and maybe you should try other methods before raiding their room, finding something and going mental. Not the way to get through to your kid well. And anyway kids are not stupid, we know you have gone through our stuff. And we know how regularly too :). I'll probably snoop once or twice when I have kids...its just natural for parents. They love you and want to protect you...even in some of their crazy ways.
