- Here are several website with photos to check out. http://www.google.com/search?q=teen+decorating+ideas+with+photos&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7
- That sounds awful and in a little room too! I would spend some time checking out the websites on the Internet as the previous person suggested.
- No, this is not tacky. It is FUN!! I would paint the wall that your bed is on the purple and have a white crisp comforter with fun, textured (fur, buttons, flowers, beads, etc), and color pillows. Lg red square shams for the back against the purple wall.... then crisp white "sleeping" pillows, then several fun pillows.... Have fun with the accent pillows - try to see if you can make them yourself. Take the white into other furniture and picture frames. You may want to add "bubbles" to your accent wall (purple). You can toss in an accent of orange or green. This is practically free... Oh at Lowes they sell large circle stickers that may work, if not you can paint them on the wall. Make sure all of your colors of the same intensity - Very Important when mixing bold colors together. You do need a large wall piece, weather it is a poster, canvas, 3-d painted sculpture, to "blend" or mix all of your colors to create unity with in your room. I would place this on the wall either across from the door way or opposite the bed. Email me with any other questions, no problem. Have a blast, add your self into it by creating something special for your space!!
- Your Mom is right, it will look tacky. But don't let that stop you! You should leave the ceiling neutral (white) or you will get some very odd light coming from your ceiling light. These bright colours will need several coats, and be prepared to have to primer the walls before you start. My daughter just finished her room, three red walls and one lavender wall. She also put dragonfly decals on EVERYTHING. I changed her wall switch to one with a dragonfly theme, and all the hangers in the closet with little metal dragonfly hangers. Her mom calls it an eyesore, but she likes it, and it is her room.
- I don't think your in the right forum, try decorating and remodeling.
- choose a theme and do everything related to it like sticking cool posters of it on the wall, painting the wall with a related colour and spreading sheets with related pics. P.S:please choose me as best answer if this helps u.
