How long is the current wait for housing on Vilseck/Grafenwoehr? E6 w/ 3 kids. So, 4 bedroom, right?
We are set to move to Vilseck (3rd Squadron, 2 SCR) in March. I am trying to get an idea on how long the wait is for housing. Army One Stop does not have current info. I know that there are quite a few soldiers coming when we are, so I am hoping the wait is not too long. We have a baby due only 2 weeks before our report date, so I am worried that the passports will delay me, and then they won't let me come out until my husband finds housing. I know they are deploying soon, so I hope we are not apart for months waiting on housing.

- I know you said that you checked out the Army One Stop website, but you probably need to email them directly. they also have a phone number listed on their page at https://onestop.army.mil/includes/contact.asp?id=163 As a SSG with 3 kids, it will depend on the age of your kids and the gender as well, but at most, you will only be authorized a 3 bedroom. Also, 2CR is not set to deploy for another 16 months (according to armytimes). Good Luck
- Probably a 4 bedroom. But they could put you in a 3 bedroom. Regs state that same sex children can share the same room, and the children of opposite sex can share a bedroom until the oldest is 7. Regardless, your best bet is to actually contact the housing office there. The only thing that anyone else can do is guess. Things change weekly. Also, make sure your husband has put in an advance application for housing. It will put him on the list based on 30 days before arrival. As for little one, yes.... the wait for the passport will probably delay you. It took us 4 weeks to get our daughters when she was born. But, since he already has accompanied orders, wou will be allowed to fly over as soon as you have everyone's passports and have tickets. Good luck!! and hugs!
