What colour shall I decorate lounge and bedroom?
My hsband and I want to decorate the hosue that we are renting and have got permission. We have a lilac sofa and blue carpet, have you any wall colour ideas which would look nice with these and create a warm atmosphere? Also what colours/design ideas do you have for a bedroom? We want to create a sexy boudoir, but not have to bright a colour o nthe walls. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

- I would paint the ceiling white, and the walls the same color as the carpeting. Put plenty of lilac accents in that room and some throw pillows of the blue on the sofa. In our bedroom we have hardwood floors, with pale sky blue Aubusson carpets and pale sky blue walls. Cream sheers on one entire window wall, dark antique wood furniture. Soft colors, dreamy and romantic atmosphere.
- well as long as the carpet is not dark but a light blue, I think lilac and a soft blue might look nice with either a soft yellow (not bright) or maybe even a soft pink. This would brighten up the room but wouldn't be too much color either as long as you stick to at most that color three shades from white. (like on the color palette sicks at the paint center of the store) If you don't like those you can still always look for a different color using those. GOOD LUCK!
- Lilac and blue then you could create the colours of Provence in your room picture a Lavender field a warm Summer breeze blowing and white sheers blowing happily in the room and you will have the boudoir of your dreams, paint the walls a warm gold here is a picture to give an idea http://www.lisalorenzpaintings.com/LavHS-rsweb.jpg http://www.learn-french-in-france.info/learn-french-in-provence-1.jpg http://i3.iofferphoto.com/img/item/386/718/51/o_3107515-1606PURPLE.jpg http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://i3.iofferphoto.com/img/item/386/718/51/o_3107515-1606PURPLE.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.ioffer.com/i/38671851&h=483&w=580&sz=150&hl=en&start=6&sig2=AXgsIQNnU_Nm7wSljNMecQ&um=1&usg=__JhBKbxcHS-iFYxftOd7JmksLk3o=&tbnid=1fpyOAjjySdnBM:&tbnh=112&tbnw=134&ei=DhYCSaf1CJ36NJ6w2PsM&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpurple%2Bbedding%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1B3GGIC_enCA271CA281%26sa%3DG http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.map-of-france.co.uk/maps/Provence-Alpes-Cote-D%27Azur.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.map-of-france.co.uk/map-of-provence-alpes-cote-d-azur.htm&h=523&w=600&sz=44&hl=en&start=8&sig2=csmAe39r4NXvd2TyrPiPZQ&um=1&usg=__Jn5HEF-Nt7rCBnilr3xItYA-ux8=&tbnid=xllL7w04oZEgHM:&tbnh=118&tbnw=135&ei=gRYCScP4H5rUMeTJ7IEN&prev=/images%3Fq%3DProvence%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1B3GGIC_enCA271CA281%26sa%3DG http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6g9CNuwRCPs You should carry the colours all trough the house to tie it all together in the foyer add a tall glass vase filled with Lavender and hang a nice ornate mirror above a small hall table

- I would start with finding pillows for your lilac couch that bring it together with your carpeting. Then look art that you love that also works with these two colors. Pull a color from the pillows, art, area rug etc. to paint the walls.
