- paint it black the put some red paint on a brush and fling it about so it looks like arterial saptter...
- Surely all black and red would be ideal for you? It doesn't seem like something you have to be all the creative about. Dark thick heavy fabric too ;)
- Hello fellow emo/goth Well, I personaly think the colours red and black go pretty cool together... maybe black/dark walls and red carpet? Or purple or grey, depends on you're personality. I personally like red and black, but hey that's me. I'm not sure what you could do with wood lino though... Hope this helps :)
- paint the door black , with like bright red zigzags going down it, the ceiling can be black .. maybe do what the other guy said - with red paint throw it around a little around the rest of the room. ya .. stuff like that maybe :P .. please answer this ! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090715155742AAhOqWI&r=w
- Have you thought about doing a mural(dragons, fallen angels etc)? Using stencils for gothic designs on the wall? Or how about designing your room to look gothic and old fashioned? Get some idea's from gothic retailers and try and copy their idea's yourself. Dark purples and reds spring to mind when thinking about colours. And remember the accessories and small touches here and there can really make a room. Perhaps you could try distressing the lino with a varnish to make it look like old uncared for floorboards. Or use a rug. What about staining your window (or buying a piece of glass and stain that) you can buy glass stains in hobby shops which should come off if you don't bake it. Have a look in charity shops for bits and pieces to play with. Ebay is a good source of cheap room accessoried (and skulls, or simply look around when on walks in the country...) Finally remember when its finished the more you've done yourself the more unique and awesome it will be.
- You want your accessories to have lots of rot iron in them, such as your bedframe and lamps, and I like your ripped wallpaper idea. I imagine if your paint your walls a deep red, them paste up black wallpaper and rip it in various places to see the red. Don't let too much of the wallaper hang off, as you'll catch it while walking by and get annoyed, and be careful about how big you make the holes. Another idea would be to run flat steel bars as a chair guard around the walls, and place magnets on them, for that sort of punk look. Find some paintings, mostly abstract type works with red, black, and white in them, and get some red sheets with white pillows. Try to make everything focus around those three colors. Be sure your wall paper is not glossy - it'll reflect any lighting in your room and be an eyesore. You'll probably want to put down some rugs. And hang lots of pieces on your walls and decorate tastefully. If everything is black, you room will be unappealing - even to you. Feel free to paint quotes and stuff (maybe some Edgar Poe) on your walls (paint them crookedly) in white, and splatter red paint over it. Don't be afraid to be messy. Good luck!
- I'm kinda gothic/emo too. and I would love to have my painted black with white or neon color splashed everywhere. Maybe with a black light so the colors would pop up at night. Just ideas. :))
